Okay - I shall leave it and see how long it takes - I've never had this issue before.
I'll let you know how long it takes to load the game database - Its a decent laptop I've got so don't think that would have been an issue.

So I have carried out all steps on the how to guide.
Removed and then redownloaded and extracted the ZIP files.
I have then started the game loaded the files - still stuck on loading game database, been stuck in this screen for 10 mins.
How much time does it need? never had these issue when using older version of the data unsure what has happened.

I'm still having this issue. Tried removing all folders, redownloaded and still have an issue. Any help would be great.

might shoot myself in the foot here.
When I go to download from the site its Ā£10 a year however I can go to https://classicfootballmanager.com/ and its Ā£5 a year, should I sign up from classic and it'll still work?

I will be trying this soon - once I get the new data pack. Didn't know this was a thing.
I have been fishing about looking to see what packs I can get to keep FM alive as 25 is delayed with no outcome to whats going on.
