Final Comments:
Very good to start the season with a win, especially after the loss against United. Christoffersen proving again why he was last season's transfer of the season. Encouraging return from injury.

New scout, Ronaldinho has made his first contribution to the club by recommending 20-year-old striker, Marcio. Liverpool manager, Bruce Wayne, has decided to trust his new scout and made a deal for the young striker.

Marcio joins Liverpool for a reported fee of $36.5M from Sau Paulo on a 4-year contract which ends 30th June 2021.

Philippe Coutinho is set to join Raheem Sterling on the sidelines as he suffered an injury early into the Community Shield game against rivals Manchester United. Coutinho sustained broken ribs following a robust collision with Federico Miranda during the game.

Coutinho is set to be out for 3 to 4 weeks while he recovers from the injury. Coutinho is expected to visit a specialist tomorrow.

Disappointed as we dominated the first half. They kicked into gear after the break and scored two more. We had four clear cut chances but didn't make use of them.

Player of the Year, Andriy Yarmolenko, has been appointed vice-captain of the club, following the departure of Pepe Reina.

In other news, Liverpool have signed 17-year-old goalkeeper Kerr Meaney on a free transfer from Hearts. Meaney is said to be excited at the prospect of working with Kasper Schmeichel.

Liverpool have also announced the signing of 16-year-old midfielder Gerd Weis, from Stuttgart for a fee of $3M.

Another good performance from the team. Basic once again proving to be a good signing so far in pre-season. Again, disappointed to have conceded. Suarez also didn't perform even though he scored a goal. Nonato banging in the goals in pre-season is a good sign. He's labelled as the next Ronaldo.

Better performance but should have been much more clinical considering the number of chances we had.

Raheem Sterling has suffered an injury in the match against RC Lens. Club Physio, Andy Renshaw, said that Sterling is suffering from a damaged Achilles tendon. The only course of action for the injury would be to see a specialist.

Quite disappointed but two set piece goals were enough to win us the game. Alcaraz once again impressing. Sterling got injured, which is a bummer.

Liverpool Legend, Steven Gerrard, has returned to the club as a Youth Coach. Gerrard was signed from West Ham where he had been since last season. Liverpool will pay West Ham, $100,000, as compensation. This will be Gerrard's third role since retiring. He is also a coach for the England National team, also under Bruce Wayne.

Didn't play as well as I hoped but still played good enough to win. My young strikers are repaying my faith in them after I decided to cancel the deal for Bojan. Coutinho played well in his debut. Made a nice assist for the second goal and ended up as the man of the match.

Bojan Krkic was on the brink of signing for The Reds, for a reported fee of $15M. However it was not to be as manager, Bruce Wayne, decided to pull the plug on the deal.
