So far we have the cot, which we won in a magazine competition which was nice, the only problem is it looks expensive and any furniture we can afford to go with it looks shite in comparison, but hey that is a first world problem if ever there was one.
My mum has promised to get the pushchair/travel system and numerous freinds who have had babies in the last few years have donated sack fulls of clothes and stuff.

Think it's just feeding stuff we really need now, although I'm sure we'll discover something else we don't have as soon as we get her home.

We used mine, my brothers and sisters old cot, my son is still in it. Its almost 40 years old, very basic and needed a bit of persuasion to go together without falling apart again, doesnt help that the mattress sizes have changed since then.

Dont go overboard with clothes, we find that he's in the same 4 or 5 sets of clothes all the time.

Definitely get an isofix base for your car, saves so much time and effort in putting the car seat in and out every time, instead of having to strap the seat in.

At its basic level its not that difficult. The version of cricket we're talking about at the minute is One Day cricket where each team has a maximum of 50 overs to bat. An 'over' is a set of 6 balls ('pitches' if you're used to baseball terminology) bowled by one bowler. After that they swap and another bowler bowls another set of 6 balls from the other end.

One team bats in pairs of two and the other team fields. Once the fielding team has taken all of the batting teams wickets (got the 10 batsmen out) or they have bowled the 50 overs they swap over and they try and chase down the score the first team got.

For the batsman to score runs (points) you have to hit the ball, after that the batsmen either physically run between the wicket and you get one run for each time you run from one end to the other or you hit the ball over the rope around the edge of the ground. If it bounces before it goes over the rope its worth 4 runs, if it doesn't bounce its worth 6.

The three most common ways for a batsman to get out are to be caught, bowled, and out Leg Before Wicket. Caught is self explanatory, bowled means that the batsman bowls the ball and it hits the wicket (three stumps with bails on top) that the batsman is defending.

Leg Before wicket is the most complicated, but essentially if the bowler bowls a ball that would go on to hit the stumps and the batsman stops it from hitting them using any part of his body (but most commonly his leg) then he is out.

You can also be out run out (when attempting a run), stumped, hit wicket, for hitting the ball twice, handling the ball, and obstructing the field. The last 4 are fairly uncommon though.

There's more to it than that, some of the terminology is confusing, and some of the rules no one knows, but that should be enough to understand whats happening 90% of the time.

Pairs of two? As opposed to pairs of 3 or 4?

Also, did you see Guptill's big innings the other day? Near the start he chopped one down that may have gone on to hit his wicket after it bounced between him and his stumps. He knocked it away with the back of his bat, how is this not out according to the hitting the ball twice rule? I play(ed) cricket and have watched cricket all my life and still dont get it.

Just 6-7 weeks until the baby is due now and I'm starting to brick it a bit, still not got the spare room cleared out and set up as a nursery, still not passed my driving test and still need to buy quite a bit of stuff.

On a brighter note we did go for a 4D scan the other day which was awesome;
https://scontent-lhr.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xpf1/v/t1.0-9/11034191_10153054781460560_2156327920416401782_n.jpg?oh=a034c8d8fb4f3cc10b535ffed418b34f&oe=5573281E

We thought about a 4D scan but decided that the pictures can be a bit scary so didnt bother.

What more do you need to get, theres loads that you dont actually need that people/books tell you to get.

Ffs, missed my uni lecture this morning to go to the dentist, then went work and got sent home for not shaving, despite having like 3 hairs on my face. Tweeted it on twitter and my lecturer from uni saw the tweet /o\

What kind of a job do you work at that you get home for having a bit of growth? I work in an office and look scruffy as fuck most days but no one says anything.

And who is your lecturer? Your dad? Jesus.

Do scaffolding and roofing mainly the roofing side for council though. Literally every male for the last few generations in my family has done it

Roofers are ok. Know a few of them. One mate whos a roofer scaled some scaffolding on a night out and went and sat on a roof in town for 10 minutes before he got down. Pilled out his tree on a 3/4 storey roof.

You a scaffolder? Every scaffolder I've ever met was either a pikey or a cunt.

Don't remember the media and pundits demanding Riise be banned for breaking Alan Smith's leg.

Link to Dyche's video:

Wasn't Alan Smith's leg broken from a Riise shot? I.E the ball broke his leg? Or am I thinking of something else?

Just got the brief for tomorrows shoot, shitting myself abit now ha

"Laura Trott will arrive at the shoot, strip naked and lie spread eagle on a warm up bench. KL will photograph her snatch from 10cms, so close that he can smell it. Then, she will straddle a bike with a dildo in place of the seat and KL will photograph this action, as well as her deep throating the dildo post-ride."

Article/photos will be titled - "Hot 2 Trott"

I thought at first it was Sturridge who was pissed of most, but Henderson said in the interview he wanted the pen, but Balotelli would have been the obvious choice

If anything more should be made of how greedy Sturridge was for the whole game, disappointing performance from him

It looked to me as though Henderson was the designated pen taker, Balo took the ball off him and Sturridge was trying to tell Henderson & Balo that Henderson should take it because thats what the manager had decided before the game.

Hoping for Blackburn in the draw as we've had some cracking games with them in the cups, I'll never forget the 6-4 League cup semi final second leg in 2010 and then drinking a bottle of Frosty Jacks with a couple of Rovers fans we met in Tesco after the game.

Classy lad.

To be fair there are enough of them working in bars in London to demand a place on population in Europe alone. Got to be more Aussies in Europe than Andorrans.

Surely now Lambert has got to get the boot? He must have some dirt on Lerner to have lasted this long.

He's spouting the same tired cliches about great effort and thirteen cup finals coming up. We are going to get relegated with this useless twat in charge. I'm not too confident in our chances even if we brought in some world class manager today, but we are certainly doomed with him, we've just broken the record for least goals after 25 games, yet another unwanted record he has bestowed upon our club. Even Alex McLeish was better than this gimp.

Surely the fans would be slightly happier if you actually looked like you wanted to win and went for a win. Lambert should just throw caution to the wind and go all out attack. Worked for Blackpool for half a season. Players look like they are not enjoying football and winning & scoring goals is the way to help that.

Considering how history unfolded after the war, Britain is arguably the biggest loser of the major powers involved. I'm not sure guaranteeing Belgian neutrality is a cause worth losing an empire and 2% of your total population for, if the British leadership at the time had the wisdom of hindsight available to them, I'm not sure that they would make the decision they made.

Imperial Germany were naughty boys, invading neutral Belgium, being the first to use chemical weapons and carrying out indiscriminate submarine warfare, but the First World War was hardly some great battle between good and evil, only a giant clusterfuck triggered by the web of pacts, alliances, agreements and guarantees the great powers of Europe had made in the preceding century. Calling countries not bound by such agreements "spineless nancies" for not entering the war reeks of ignorance and stupidity, especially when you know what an unspeakable tragedy the war was for anyone who was involved in it.

The ignorance of ianbakers comment is is further heightened by the fact that he's chastising a neutral power for remaining neutral, when the United Kingdom entered the war to defend the right of neutral powers to do exactly that. On top of that, had Sweden entered the war it would almost certainly have been on the German's side, the Swedish elites at the time were germanophiles and our greatest historical antagonist was a member of the Entente, recapturing or liberating Finland would have been the only conceivable reason for Sweden to enter the war.

Flying back to Australia tonight and wait for it... Reason I'm going back is knee surgery next month

Hope you're flying Malaysia Airlines or Air Asia. Or Qantas, just as bad, only a matter of time. Healthcare tourist.

In other news I'm going to be in Manchester on Friday, with between 0.5 - 3 spare hours to kill in Piccadilly/City Centre. What do?

That not be normal for winter weather Franck?

You need hot & cold air meeting to help create a thunderstorm. Not much hot air around in winter, especially in Francks neck of the woods.
