I appreciate the interface of data on the website vs. what will exist in-game, especially for those still playing FM24, can be a bit tricky to navigate.

 

Essentially, when you search for a player, what you're seeing in most places on the site is the details of that player in FM26. This includes the ‘Data Update Data’ that you would see on this page, as an example: https://sortitoutsi.net/football-manager-data-update/person/2000108787.

 

I do also agree it can be a bit tricky to know what CA/PA a player originally had in the FM24 Data Update - because what you'll see in the ‘Original Data’ is now FM26. Unfortunately, where we are managing updates for multiple versions of the game, it's quite tricky to display everything and, ultimately, it makes sense to show the data from the latest game at this stage.

 

Now, many of the details are also transposed into the FM24 Data Update, but not all of them. For example, the CA/PA (which are based on the Attribute Submissions you see on their main profile) are included, as are - of course - all of the details around contracted club and so on. A good example of something that isn't updated are player positions. There is no method available for the community to make submissions to change player positions at this time.

 

In the case of a player who has a different set of positions in FM26 and FM24, that can get a bit confusing. The right place to see a player's listed positions (from the link I sent earlier, to use that same example player) for FM24 is via Game Guides → FM24 Update, which takes you to the following page: https://sortitoutsi.net/football-manager-2025/person/2000108787/kolja-oudenne

 

This is where you'll see the positions that player can play in FM24.

 

If you want a very straightforward/shortened version of the above: unfortunately, player positions will be the same as they were in FM24, even in the FM24 Data Update. CA/PA, however, is adjusted and this is done by community submissions and I would encourage you (and all others) to make those submissions, irrespective of whether you play FM24 or FM26 with our Data Update. The more submissions, the more reflective of community opinion the data ends up being.

Hello, I got the Enhanced Football Manager Data Update yesterday and wanted to start a save with Hannover 96 today. I realized that some PA's and Player positioned seemed outdated so I went to the Team on this website to submit a PA change. But there everything seemed fine, for example Bastian Allgeier is listed as a centreback and right back and Kolja Oudenne is also listed as a Wing Back. These changes don't seem to be in my data base update though.

His natural Positioning should be looked at again since he has established himself as an option as a centreback, where he played most of his 14 appearances for Hannover 96. https://www.transfermarkt.de/bastian-allgeier/profil/spieler/569455

I think the Players CA and PA should be reevaluated, because he has already broken into the first Team (22 games, 58% starter). Despite his problems with consistency and composure, as his play sometimes breaks down when put under pressure by the opponents press, he still has surpassed expectations this season, as he was planned for only the second Team at first. https://www.transfermarkt.de/ime-okon/profil/spieler/1107265
