Didn't do badly, reached double figures iirc but then decided to become unhappy - it wouldn't be Balo if he didn't randomly become unhappy.
Wissam Ben Yedder done slightly better on-loan from Sevilla but the defence let me down massively.

Loan signings galore! Just the six joined over the course of the season, Fabian Orellana joined from Celta but I didn't want him nor register him (pre-signing before I arrived) but with the signings I ended up making I had high hopes we could've had a good season at Valencia and maybe crack into the top six. Jose Gaya, Joao Cancelo, Diego Alves and Nani were the 'major' departures over the course of the campaign with Gaya leaving in the January transfer window to German giants Bayern.
We reached the quarter final stage of the Spanish Cup, losing to Real Betis on away goals which was a little disappointing.
The club had a decent run in the Europa League though before our first knockout round exit to the Italians Lazio.
We just couldn't stop conceding this season in the league which angered me as I thought our squad was a tad stronger than last season with the worst defeat being the six nil thumping away to Espanyol in which we were battered from start to finish and the five nil defeat to Deportivo was terrible as well - just six clean sheets in thirty eight league games is absolutely poor. I'm glad the campaign has finished but did the club at least qualify for the Europa League once again?
No. It ended up being an eighth place finish.
Total Points:
La Liga - eighth place finish = 5 points
Spanish Cup - quarter final exit = 10 points
Europa League - first knockout round exit = 5 points
Beat Barcelona x1 = 5 points
Total points: 25 points (35 in the total). Thankfully this challenge is officially over. I'll never manage Valencia again until they've some cash.

I really wish we could sell him but what muppet is going to take him?

So I decided to purchase Ravel Morrison for £2.2m from Lazio and I'm expecting him to do nowt for me until the end of the season - also loaned him Moussa Sissoko from Tottenham.

. . . now watch us heavily rotate the squad and get duffed.

Ha. I knew money was tight but I didn't realise they were brutal to manage.
But anymore performances like the one above and I may end up getting the sack in the second season. Espanyol completely ripped us a new arsehole from start to finish (although Soler's early red card didn't help matters) and now it seems the goal scoring problem has returned as we've not scored in our last three games - both 0-0's against Leganes and Braga in between that thumping.

Purchased one player in the January transfer market, he was shite. Sold Santi Mina for the exact same reason and Manchester City stupidly paid £5m for him.
It was a fifth round exit in the Spanish Cup so 0 points for this.
Goals turned out to be a problem until I changed formation as the form changed for the better with four consecutive victories including ones at home to Atletico and Real Madrid which surprised me, more so the Atletico game because they were top of the table at the time and we bagged five goals against them - Munir bagged a treble as he's useless half the time.
On the final day of the season we stole a seventh place finish so that's an extra 5 points.
La Liga - seventh placed = 5 points
Spanish Cup - fifth round exit = 0 points
Beat Real Madrid x1 = 5 points
Total: a crap 10 points - Valencia are muck. Whose idea was it to manage this shower?

You've got lucky then I guess. They've all been mince for me.
In fact, the entire team have been so mince, I've actually drew my last four league games iirc all 0-0.
@KEZ_7 Quite jealous you have gotten £25+ million for Jose Gaya. He wants to leave on my save but no one wants to pay anymore than £13m - he's going nowhere for less than £23.5m and I've 'told' him this.

I had suggested the MLS to @Dan as an destination in the future as it can't really be ignored. Had originally suggested it next but was decided it's too similar to Australia which many people, including myself, 'loved' dearly.

@Suffolk Seasider I did do friendly games, just excluded them from the said screenshot in question.

So I get 10 points due to reaching the FFA Cup quarter finals but then I got -25 points because for the second time in three challenges I've ended up getting sacked and it turned out to be an awful stint at Melbourne City and I won't be returning to manage in Australia for a long, long, long time. Goals turned out to be a major problem for me, only eleven scored in as many games while seventeen were conceded. I believe this means I've ended up with -15 points from this short challenge.
