McLaren has said we're still looking for more. So what we reckon... winger next?

A second central defender wouldn't go a miss, anything to keep Mike Williamson out of the starting XI.

LEMANS - Final 5 League Games 2073/74 - Did We Survive?

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/a0WAsZduTwK51h7Ou22N5j70Pve8FUynWnRI0zyv.png

I've arrived at French National side LEMANS with just five league games remaining and the club are currently outside the relegation zone but I believe it's only on goal difference and relegation could happen and I sure hope it does and that's something I've never said before - I need relegation so I manage in the CFA league.

League - National:

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/GOlXa8l4np3Z7E8yujnJnITog6oKsXQwdaioW4FJ.jpg

Annoyingly we ended up winning three of the remaining five games as we beat Nimes Olympique, Colmar and Aries Avignon while we suffered defeats (perhaps as expected) to both Louhans-Cuiseaux and Clermont Foot. Did those three victories mean we survived in the National?

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/XUFosssEslPv0U9931jAbjE0Hz45AlgrVoFoSOOg.jpg

Yes it did. LEMANS ended up finishing up in twelfth place which means I won't be staying on as manager next season and thus my reign has ended after just fifty days.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/YQYNKGp8zdvN5Sp40IuOvhjJ6dTzgBhesWRBzZEo.jpg

And as expected I have resigned as manager of LEMANS following survival and now although I need to start looking for a new job, I also believe I'll need to remain unemployed for quite some time as who'd want a manager who constantly jumps ship? I'll try and find the correct job.

Ha, I had to wait quite a while for the TNS job to become available on this career but when it does then Wales will be a breeze to chalk off. I'm just hoping the HJK actually does become available as that's the only team I believe I can chalk Finland off with, Benniewijs..

When I resigned as manager of FC Honka I didn't realise I would have had to wait some time for my next managerial appointment but in April 2074, I was able to find a new job and it was yet to be known on whether it's going to be a 'long term' job or a short job due to unforeseen circumstances but I suppose only time will tell . . .

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/qZEUkptdFTFJB9EWsGu1YSyewQwk8rGWwpF4CSwf.jpg

I'm pleased to announce that I have been appointed manager of France National side LEMANS and just five league games are remaining with the club in a relegation battle and as much as I'd love the club to relegated, I will not be "throwing" any of the remaining five games - if we get relegated then I'll be 'pleased' but if we survive then I'll step down.

Remaining 5 games:

Louhans-Cuiseaux (A)
Nimes (H)
Clermont Food (A)
Colmar (H)
Aries Avignon (A)

Honka - End of season update 2073

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/eNJIjGiacJcpfV02FgwZYluabxUmRtQHrxmLPv9a.png

And now we have reached the end of my first full season ever in Finland and my first full season at Honka has come to an end, as we entered the second part of the campaign we found ourselves top of the table and four points clear of second placed Ekenas - I'd love to maintain our good form as I look to secure trophy #1 in Finland.

League - First Division:

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/BLvX5PLArpKiWMvQq0VPPmeZ37SbocHaACJc9bgk.jpg

It turned out to be a fantastic remaining eleven games as we only dropped points in two games, against GrIFK and JJK as they both ended 2-2. Our first game in August saw us beat struggling Santa Claus 10-1 at home, fantastic scoreline. It turned out to be a fantastic season at Honka and I've enjoyed my thirty seven league games in charge.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/FJCdFVwCreUgYP95Z7jWzYBvgScjDlCqDL0saihf.jpg

So a fantastic season at Honka has seen us crowned as champions and finishing thirteen points clear of JJK as only one team goes up to the top flight and I'm delighted that was us. Just shy of one hundred goals were scored in the league while Santa Claus and MYPA were relegated.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/ex2cbi6MhGeTzCjIDNL2ZIWQNPXjlgtuP9Sr0AHv.jpg

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/VD2lxeR24a8EYb3nhKznwcn4gnylBiLPde3l5OXR.jpg

Despite winning the league, I have decided to step down as manager of Honka. The reason why I've chosen to resign is because 1) the squad isn't overly good enough to survive next season (which means they probably will), 2) It's going to be difficult to find the 'correct' players and 3) I want the HJK job when I return to Finland and no one else as they're the 'biggest' club in the country.

Honka - Mid season update 2073

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/RXWbsRDJyNsRqzmz54xmQTBzVCaRaffnYnJ5YSr1.png

The first part of the twenty seventy three season has been and went and it's been my first full year in charge of Honka and it's one I'm looking forward too as I don't overly know what to expect from the team, they're predicted to finish second but I'm sure we can win the league with a bit of luck.

Finnish Cup:

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/sMBDGfO94zHNh2dxGMEaejdOcIjlyefbnZB1zNcc.jpg

The run in this years Finnish Cup ended in the quarter final stage, which I'm delighted with (not that we're knocked out) as we went down 3-1 at home to top flight side RoPS while we beat lower league opposition in Ajax Sarkkiranta, Kontu, YPA and Kultsu in the previous four rounds. The board only expected us to be 'competitive' in the competition and I feel we were just that.

League - First Division:

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/1HCeaJ1mr1Dgcj8Rgm0eHdKrInjlMy3pQbLjWaD4.jpg

It's been a promising first part of the league season as we've lost just the three times (vs. MYPA, Kilsto and Ekenas) while we've also only dropped points in two other games. We've scored goals freely as we've struck six goals against Kilsto, AIFK and GrIFK, five against JJK and FCV and eight against MYPA. Elseid Gavazaj has scored 17 goals in the league so far, not bad for someone with six finishing, sixteen years old and his first full season in football.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/aVwOysRPQul5OnG6j15HFwE519zmECcWAr56DpZv.jpg

Just eleven league games are remaining in the twenty seventy three season and we find ourselves four points clear at the top and we are going to need to keep the form up if we're to end up promoted to the top flight and First Division champions in the process.

Cheers Benniewijs, it was a fantastic ten game stint but it's important we maintain that next season and in attempt to push for promotion.

Cheers for the comment ChrissBurns1993, I'm glad someone else has managed (and enjoyed) the bottom playable league in Finland but it would have been nice if we were a professional club but c'est le vie.

Honka - Pre season round-up

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/84j76iVCT7IuafaiEClFjgoriWC8KP4ozXkvKeql.png

As I head into my first full season at Honka, the club are predicted to finish this season in second place and I'd like to think that we'd be good enough to actually win the league and I feel that's achievable while the board want us just to be competitive in the Finnish Cup.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/F1WRT14MfBRsLJkPJTtpmyW8Zt4onyEfMtsVZ9UY.jpg

So the minimum expectation from the board is that we attempt to launch a title challenge and I feel that's the most realistic of the three and for some reason, 'winner' has appeared twice in the expectations, weird - I've been given a reasonable wage budget for a semi-professional club and I don't know whether I'm signing anyone or not this transfer window.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/Joc9ZA7SrK1AIsFskoCSBJIaylr2Q0SustOkhTbi.jpg

No one has signed and no one has left the club in this transfer window, not much else to say...

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/CyzKpNEJji74DWFNTDMNCEX1vARbak8HrVTotuFx.jpg

It turned out to be a pretty good pre season campaign as we won all but one of the eleven games that ended up being arranged by the clubs assistant manager. We lost at home, as expected to KIL/Hemne and our best result of pre season saw us beat Elfsborg 2-1 at home and we also kept eight clean sheets in pre-season.

Cheers Dan, I've no intention of letting this career die off as it's too early for that 'carry on'. Seems I went to the right clubs for my recent success (Feyenoord and CSKA Moscow) and I also changed the style of play as well and that's been a fantastic success. I don't want to spend too long at Honka, maybe at least a full season or two, depending on what happens.

I really don't know what to expect from my spell in Finland Benniewijs, but I'd love the HJK job to become available in the near future as they're the 'massive Finnish club'. I'd love to beat Santa Claus just because he's a bearded prick, ha!

Honka - The Final Ten League Games 2072

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/hY7MQZXmm84h698tsrDiRkoc7DmBGjWU5aBofBLu.png

Just ten league games were remaining when I arrived through the doors at Honka and the club were lying bottom of the table but not completely adrift and I knew that if the club didn't survive this season then I'd have one of my shortest managerial reigns in my career. I'll be using the same formation I've used my entire career and the same style of play I've used at Feyenoord and CSKA Moscow - I really don't know what to expect.

League - First Division:

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/LYL5Zmq2dvLaZx8j3WDGmvPBVNfF84CeNZZKdObZ.jpg

Boom! It's been a fantastic last ten games of the season as we powered ourselves from the basement with eight wins, one draw and one defeat from the ten games including a home victory over Santa Claus. The two beat results were the 5-2 away win over a Kemi side who ended up winning the league and a 3-0 home success over Kilsto who led the league at that time. I'm hoping the form can continue next season as I hope to win the league.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/hq1G3HR6YKxLt4bal0kdowjDKsujzQvYOmqcy6T0.jpg

It would be a fifth place finish for Honka this season and I am pleased with that as the club was rock bottom when I arrived with only ten First Division games remaining and the side finished eleven points behind the champions Kemi who we had beat with ease in the run-in. Santa Claus survived so that should be Benniewijs happy.

Finland Bound

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/vs9RJfSa95MhYWnmbUxyhlRFXwwY9VfRpVbZyqDg.png

When I departed CSKA Moscow I had to wait what felt like an eternity before getting my next job in Football Management but when a club, predicted to win the league at the beginning of the campaign, found themselves struggling at the foot of the First Division table, they had parted company with their manager and of course I applied.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/szGGOoW8qPQIaThcI6hlti5RAoDJJiwINAYZ72tg.jpg

So the first time ever in the Football Manager series, I will be managing in Finland after FC Honka offered me the chance to manage them, agreeing a one year deal that'll expire at the end of next season. I'm expected to fight bravely against relegation and I've 10 games to save their bacon or it'll be a quick return to the Job Centre. I'll be using the same formation and style as I did at Feyenoord and CSKA Moscow.

Remaining 10 fixtures:

24/7/72 - Riverball (A)
31/7/72 - PS Kemi (A)
7/8/72 - TPV (H)
14/7/72 - GrIFK (H)

CSKA Moscow - End of season update 2071/72

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/EmM9p0ERCmQj5uvfqoZD13jqDjVxM7vWU6KJWQu8.png

We have reached the end of the season and it's been a tremendous campaign to date as we are top of the First Division in Russia and things are looking good for promotion to the top flight of Russian football and the country being concluded once and for all but it's important the form keeps up so I can leave this country once and for all.

League - First Division:

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/FriBvcUeAG8PlLGobmhbEdq2QRpSzXLYWHyAXo5R.jpg

The second part of the campaign was one to remember as we didn't lose a single game of our remaining thirteen games and we only dropped points in three of those games against Dinamo Bryansk and Sokol away from home in which we played poorly and at home to Mordovia in a game that we dominated but couldn't find a break through. The season ended with eight consecutive wins.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/vXwfmRO4MuYx2xiQtmWnmK8zLLBfc0qSbQuoRhDE.jpg

And we have been crowned First Division champions and in return Russia has been chalked off once and for all. It was a dominating season as we finished 24 points clear of Volgar who also won promotion to the top tier. One hundred and five goals were scored in the league while I believe we also only conceded thirty four goals as well. Fantastic season.

CSKA Moscow - Mid season update 2071/72

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/Kx7WBsIoggrBgHRWhLr029dsLKfLXzoofHfXESfB.png

The first part of the season at CSKA Moscow has been done and dusted and I'm confident this can be a successful season for the club but during the first part of the league campaign I was summonsed to an emergency board meeting to discuss the 'poor squad harmony' but thankfully I've managed to pass that and remain in a job , , , for now,

Russian Cup:

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/EX4UToaAWAIzIPkKAoOFhN950tJdq92Dxm52ckTW.jpg

Our run in this seasons Russian Cup ended in the sixth round (second hurdle) following a 2-1 home defeat against SKA Khabarovsk after extra time but I'm not too disappointed as we've won this competition previous at a Zenit St. Petersburg side who we had beaten in the previous round.

League - First Division:

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/UtzMNUI82HZLsII0svIG1XW6BJmnTPd0EQfbH3o2.jpg

Wow. We have had a tremendous first part of the league season, yet I also received the boot due to 'squad harmony'. Just two league defeats have happened and both of them came within the first month of the season against both Volga and Arsenal Tulu. We will be heading into the second part of the season on the back of eleven straight wins in the league.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/UsTCec6G5k6g3oiv40ZPmUdUK4b1JuzJV6ddKJNN.jpg

And of course we are sitting top of the table and thirteen points clear of second place and my former employers Amkar as this has been a fantastic first part of the season and we've also a game in hand against the team fifteenth in the league and that'll be my first game when the league resumes in around March time.

Russia Bound . . . Again

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/rhkjMbngmjDv5KpqsObiIu3HBKjyeFAGw3xt90Cn.png

Once I handed in my resignation at the De Kuip, I was unemployed and once again it was time to start looking for employment - I was approached by Portuguese side Benfica but as soon as I saw they only had two or three good players and one central defender that was a massive NO. I've returned to Russia in an attempt to conclude that once and for all with a club who have just been relegated from the top tier.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/dAosQySEttvwUtVPmLOhTkFumgP8cFDEwN1xvexP.jpg

Following a two legged defeat against Rostov in the relegation/promotion play-off, CSKA Moscow were relegated from the top tier and sacked their manager as well. I've agreed a new two year deal and received a one million transfer budget.

The club are predicted to win the league and that's the one trophy I require in Russia and it's also a trophy I expect the club to get this season as it'll be a monumental failure - I'm only allowed three non-EU players in the starting eleven and you can't offer anymore than £1.1k p/w on players so the sooner this league is chalked off the better.

CSKA won their opening game of the season 1-0 away to Amkar, before I was appointed manager.

It's been a dominating start Benniewijs but whether we keep that form up or not remains to be seen as it's going to be tough. FC Eindhoven have had a tremendous season while the 'bigger brother' PSV haven't to say the least. Treble is the aim, quadruple would be remarkable.

Feyenoord - End of season update 2070/71

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/3hisbEAva5cKabJJGYL6Rm9l8MA7ENh6MfekSip7.png

With a fantastic first half of the season done and dusted, things are looking quite good for a potential domestic treble but it's still going to be tough to achieve but I've to believe that it'll happen. Sixteen league games are remaining this campaign as well as the possibility of more Champions League and Dutch Cup games as well.

Champions League:

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/MAaqxMFXoEGyphAl0EaSDkCerc6Uew78CuYKCgtt.jpg

Sadly our Champions League hopes ended in the quarter final stage as English Premier League side Manchester City beat us on away goals, which annoyed me slightly but c'est le vie, we had beaten Inter Milan in the previous round.

Dutch Cup:

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/qaSgPXyvUnX9ZA1oKjzbEYhmzzaNHraoOpSuQKwi.jpg

But we did manage to win the Dutch Cup after a commanding 4-0 final win over Heracles in the final, Ramiro Fernandez bagging a hat trick, the side needed a penalty shoot-out though to advance to the final as despite dominating large parts against Zwolle we could only manage a 2-2 draw, we beat second tier side MVV in the quarters.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/xBBvzldx20htZxolvGn4U5pbDWsMUYgS5pHOtegf.jpg

League - Eredivisie:

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/9oIwyzeelAskdaNtG9ldmaz2u9iutV92vKmnngft.jpg

Despite dominating in the first half of the Eredivisie campaign, the second part of the season was mixed to say the least as we lost five times including embarrassingly to Zwolle and Vitesse as we dominated against the latter but the campaign concluded with a dominating 4-0 win at home to Twente.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/0NmY4K0oU2xduRqHGD9pYOAuW46yIQLAcsEhosOQ.jpg

Yes! Champions! It wasn't easy in the end but the job was done as we finished only two points ahead of Ajax but I'm delighted nonetheless that the league was secured but it should've been easier. One hundred and seven goals were scored in the league and if my maths is correct, thirty five goals were conceded.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/5t7W44Puh632H82s18APWHzNxl22noA1GWW7KWAl.jpg

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/iFpfz37wAOYwDKFADI68al9HMS3zpEaTFcYnsdLE.jpg

And with a domestic treble signed sealed and delivered, my time at Feyenoord has come to an end after just one season in Rotterdam - throughout my short time at the club I guided the side to the Dutch Cup, Dutch Super Cup and the Eredivisie title. Good luck to whoever takes charge and I'm not sure what my next destination will be.

Feyenoord - Mid season update 2070/71

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/ZvovkKnncSqoMWSIO2MTvbp502lsQ5ueJ02GN21j.png

It's that time of year again, it's time for another mid season update and the first and I'm hoping last one at Feyenoord as I expect the club to win EVERYTHING domestically this season - overambitious? No, they've a quality squad and I expect them to deliver as they won the league (with ease I believe) last season.

Dutch Super Cup:

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/caHVjH4n7HXNn8ncFEJXHkt5e2Y0YpuXpPJN7Xuu.jpg

That didn't take long. My first trophy at Feyenoord has been wrapped up and second in Dutch football after the side beat last seasons runners-up PSV 4-2 in the Super Cup - Marius Book (pen), Ramiro Fernandez, Eder Vanegas and Erdogan Ademi were on target in the success.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/IGgFdQsBV9f6YL0oaw0uKVi1mZxzEFYojf8JJu8L.jpg

Champions League:

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/NQ0AUaCqw3pwHOfkAIUU0aLCewAcrL6cFe2cRDms.jpg

We have progressed in this seasons Champions League which I'm pleased with as I've struggled in the competition previous years when at 'big' clubs. The side lost twice both away from home against Porto and PSG with the latter the most frustrating as we squandered a two goal lead after just three minutes. Progression was secured with an easy victory away to Scottish side Celtic.

Dutch Cup:

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/nf1YNXBNyU4u2pfuFo80cJ15UQZYWGHfumwSJJJb.jpg

I'm pleased to announce that we remain in the Dutch Cup but only just as we needed a penalty shoot-out to beat Ajax but we should've beat them in normal time as we dominated . . . as per usual this season but just couldn't find a winner in the 90 minutes - Erdogan Ademi was our hero with the second goal four minutes from time. Feyenoord AV and NAC Breda were beaten in previous rounds.

League - Eredivisie:

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/OIO7V0o63n5rVfKjD6Myzy6Js2qDD2bTXPHIA1wY.jpg

Unbelievable! I changed the style of play this season and we have completely dominated in every competition this season, losing just twice in the Champions League and drawing (inside 90 minutes) once in the Dutch Cup but the league has been plain sailing as we haven't dropped a single point and we've also kept seven clean sheets as well. This form cannot keep up . . . or can it?

And we'll be returning for the remaining sixteen league games top of the table, with an one hundred percent record and fourteen points clear of 'rivals' Ajax and we are also not conceding many goals either. I really cannot explain the excellent form this season, as I said, I changed the 'style' of play for once and it's paying insane dividends.

You don't need to apologise Benniewijs, I expect both Ajax and PSV to put me under pressure in the title race but I expect us to produce results against the other teams, especially at home. I'm confident I can conclude Netherlands once and for all while at Feyenoord and if I don't then I'll be VERY disappointed.

Feyenoord - pre season round-up

Another competitive season is about to begin and this will be my first season at the De Kuip and I also hope it'll be my only season as well. I've three competitions still to chalk off in this country - Dutch Super Cup, Eredivisie and Dutch Cup and Feyenoord will be in all three competitions this season and I'd love to win all three.

Just one player ended up joining the club this summer and that was central midfielder Juraj Kovac who arrived at the club before I was confirmed manager - he cost £4.1m from Croatian side Dinamo Zagreb and I don't know how much game time he'll get this season.

Five players exited - Henk van Gastel and Ivanildo Miguel Carvalho both were released when their contracts had expired while Kevin Sno, Federico Lencina and Koen van Deinsen headed to Cambuur, Heracles and Leixoes respectively on loan deals.

And I couldn't have asked for a more perfect pre season as we won all five of our games although we didn't play anyone 'major' and that's no disrespect to the teams we did face but we did beat Cottbus, Aachen, Norwich, VCS and HVV - our first game of the season will be the Dutch Super Cup tie vs. PSV Eindhoven.

Is Kevo's surname Diaby by any chance?

If it isn't then he should get his surname changed by de-pole, if that's allowed.

Once again cheers for the comment Benniewijs, I'm delighted with the cup win as that was the priority.

Heading to the Netherlands for a second stint

As soon as I secured the cup success with FC Vaduz I knew my time at the club was coming to an end but I decided not the immediately resign but apply for a vacant post in a county I've managed in previously. If this post hadn't become available then I would have took the post at Sevilla who had just been relegated from Liga BBVA.

I have been appointed the new manager of Eredivisie champions Feyennord after the previous manager took the vacancy that arrived at Real Madrid and I'm excited to be here as if all goes to plan then I'll be done in Holland once and for all come the end of the season. I've been given a transfer budget of £16.25 million but truth be told, I have taken over a good squad so don't think I'll need to make any adjustments. It's another one year contract that I've signed.
