The 3d model (used by the match engine) is kind of low-poly and overall not close enough to the standard 2d kits, I tried to use it as a base to generate 2d kits but the result is not that great imo, I get something like that :

What model did you extract and use for your 3D Kits viewer? High or medium?
Maybe the low poly quality depends on the model extracted in the event that you used the medium quality model.
I'm just guessing.

@ducc unfortunately, all the online sources available for this club are pretty awful.

@DokteurHaisse now that we have the ability to add ball textures, do you think that a ball model can be added to your tool? Or even create a dedicated tool?
It would be extremely useful to check ball textures applied to a 3d ball model.

Stumbled upon this thread when looking to get fm08 working again. Does anyone have this for re-upload?

I actually want to grab fm05 off of ebay for the database back then. Am i right in saying even a newer facepack would be fine for either of those since all those old players would be included or are most removed?

Any ideas on what the best way to get a 2005 or 2008 facepack is?

There is no good 3D source available (yet) for the Italian Serie B, since the one available needs some logo placement work in order to be ready for conversion to Standard Kits. I'll keep you updated.

@hammer9 are you in touch with Serie B & C kitpacks' creators from the Italian forum? They could try to update and improve their kits. I suspect they know nothing about 3D kits viewer.

Yes that would be possible. It's just updating the smart layers (or creating new ones) within the PSD template. I don't know if there is much need for it right now, not planning on creating that (yet).

Obviously, no rush at all. It's perfectly right to focus on the newest game.
It's just an idea given the similar size of 2D and 3D kits of these games.

@wesfm18 do you think that this creation process can be made even for FM18-19 3D kits using their respective FM18-19 2D standard model?
FM 2019 standard 2D kit uses a different model (with inverted sleeves position on 3D kits if I remember correctly), but it has the same size of FM 20-21 2D standard kit (both are 256x256 px).

Yes, you can use them in the Touch version of the game.

I tried both "STAGE_LONG_NAME_CHANGE" and "STAGE_SHORT_NAME_CHANGE" lines for a newly created competition stage, but I didn't see any change. So apparently it's not possible.
You're right, it would be useful to edit these lines through lnc files in future.

NONE of balls in the pack are wholly accurate, due to how FM handles the animation, so it's a compromise, regardless of the ball graphics. The whole concept was about giving some variation to the leagues/competitions played, despite the limitations. Regardless, I take all comments and requests on board, if they have a polite and respectful tone.

I think you perceived a completely different and false tone in my posts, whose intention was not to accuse you of any possible poor effort put in this ballpack, but just to improve it with some suggestions. Even in the request I made before, I provided you an high quality picture of the ball and I limited myself to point out a particular graphic aspect of it in order to help you in making the ball and having a better look in game.
I've never been disrespectful or unpolite previously, so I'm still scratching my head to understand where I was such rude and why I deserve such animosity.
Feel free to ignore any request or any unwanted feedback I already provided.

The simple answer is, if you don't like it, delete it. It all depends if a decent qualiy image of a ball is available and it wasn't the case with the balls you quoted. The thing that pisses off creators are those that demand perfection, especially when they're not charging for their work. I don't have a problem answering queries, it's not about what people say but how they say it. For the record, the "default" ball is the one that appeared from day one of FM21 and shows in every game.

My previous post was not a criticism of your work. I just pointed out that the aforementioned balls in your pack are outdated and have been replaced by new models or new manufacturers in real life. Just for a matter of realism, which I guess is an appreciated feature in a simulation game. However, I'm really struggle to see where I asked for "perfection" in my previous post.
I thought that inputs or feedbacks would be well accepted, but maybe I was wrong. I apologize for that.

P.S. For the record, the default balls I requested are not used in every match. They are already in the game because they appear in the relevant licensed competition to which they belong. However, the balls in your pack replace the correct ones already in the game. That's it. It was just a note for you before, not a demand for perfection.

@wesfm18 really nice idea.
I tried to create a 2D shirt using your method, but unfortunately results are not as expected because some parts of the shirt are missing (like trim on the shoulders or along the flanks), especially in the case the shirt have a complex pattern.
Definitely a valid way to create a 2D shirt if you wish to use only the default kit style as long as the shirt is not particulary complex, otherwise the risk is to lose some shirt details.
Just my feedback and my opionion, obviously. Maybe a better cutting process or a better shirt positioning can help if you're planning to update these psd files in future.
