I'm under the impression M'Vila lacks the attitude and mentality of fulfilling his real potential. Or was he just hyped?

Força Cabo Verde!

A good prof of what this tournament is all about; Morocco with players like Benatia (Udinese), Amrabat (Galatasaray), Belhanda (Montpellier), El Ahmadi (Aston Villa) and El Hamdaoui (Fiorentina) in the starting line-up underperforming and are lucky to only be behind by one goal, against a good collective where the biggest "star", Ryan Mendes, plays for Lille and have only started two games for them this season. Gotta love it.

Yanga-Mbiwa is 'an ass' for choosing Newcastle, claims Montpellier president Nicollin:

"He chose Newcastle? If so, he is an ass," Nicollin declared to L'Equipe.

They did - in last year's ACN.

Kind of like that they're sponsored by an African based kit manufacturer.

...ended up with Per Joar fucking Hansen. meh, not at all looking forward to the 2013 season, all though he has my support for now.

It's still early days but getting a little more positive now. We have already signed striker Nicki Bille Nielsen from Villarreal and landed another Dane tonight: Tobias Mikkelsen from Bundesliga outfit Greuter Fürth. Appeared as a sub in all three group games for Denmark at the 2012 Euro's and is said to be familiar with the 4-3-3 system, which we are reverting to now.

Apparently coach Hansen demanded four new signings before accepting the job: striker, winger, centre midfielder and a full back to play on both sides. So far so good, two down two to go with the first game of the season two months away. Oh, and we need Mikkel "Mix" Diskerud to sign a new deal as he's currently out of contract.

I read something that said Hangeland might leave Fulham for free during the summer.

Is that true?

He is out of contract at the end of the season and is yet to sign a new deal, so yeah that could very well be the case.

Tbh he should just stay at Fulham, it's not like he is gonna end up at a bigger club I think. Not in Premier League anyway. As jumberto said he's not as good as he was a couple of seasons ago.

As long as they don't get relegated I think Southampton could be a wise career move for Forren. He will (probably) get to play on a regular basis and if he proves himself as a decent centre back in the Premier League, bigger clubs can well be in for him in a year or two. Experience and first team football is alpha omega for him now.

A Premier League centre back duo of Hangeland and Forren for Norway sounds good too. They have already established a promising partnership and with Forren's Southampton transfer going through I only think it's going to get better.

Apparently he turned down a big offer from Zenit, as the only option for him was Premier League. Several other European sides were interested as well.

Dutch side Feyenoord have released Manchester City's Omar Elabdellaoui early from a season-long loan deal. The Norwegian winger was loaned out by the Premier League outfit to the Dutch club last summer but could not establish himself in the side, playing just five times.

The club let Elabdellaoui go at his request and reports in Holland suggest he is closing on a new loan deal with Bundesliga 2 side Eintracht Braunschweig.

Never a transfer window without Per Ciljan Skjelbred being linked to Newcastle:

Norwich City are believed to be interested in Hamburg midfielder Per Ciljan Skjelbred – although the Canaries’ Premier League opponents this weekend are the club in pole position to land the 25-year-old.

The former Rosenborg star has been told he can leave the German Bundesliga club for free during the January transfer window, and Newcastle United – who visit Carrow Road at the weekend – have held preliminary talks about a possible move to England. But with the Magpies now stalling, it is understood Norwich have made contact.

Hughton scouted Skjelbred during his time in charge at Newcastle, but was reportedly unwilling to match the fee Rosenborg were demanding.

The Norway international has 16 caps, his last coming in 2010. He was also a team-mate of compatriot and current Norwich midfielder Alex Tettey at Rosenborg.
