So I declined the offer and this is the man that got the job. Be interesting to see how he does.

Offer is in ... to stay or go that is the question ...

Good news for some ... however Napoli have come calling ...

In the last 4 games things have begun to turn around. Players are now happy in the system I am playing them in. Yes some of the squad is young and there is still much work to do with the squad, but in this moment in time. It is going well.

This has just come through ... will take the interview and see what happens.

Well it could get worse, and it does in patches. The signings I thought were going to turn this squad around ... haven't really

Eric Portapotty - Cheers bru. Will change whilst I am in Denmark with this club for a while. Not enough serious quality to mount anything substantial.
So a mix bag of a start. Came close to throwing it away against a few sides there FC Nordsjælland, Silkeborg IF and AC Horsens to name but a few. Life is not that easy and I am enjoying the challenge more. Despite reinforcing the side, the side still lacks that quality that will push us I reckon into the top 2 and probably top 3.
In the league it is not all doom and gloom. We are sitting in 5th where I want to be. But could all very well change.

Transfer dealings ... some good players have come in and we have managed to ship out some decent youngsters on loan.
We need to finish in the top 5 to qualify for European football. That is the aim. That is what I have promised the board. Only played two games pre-season because of fixture cancellations. Beat Sion 1-0 and Cardiff 3-2.

Another signing to boost our forwards, signed off instinct and scouts have confirmed that he has some potential. Signed on a free. Not much not to like.

Signed on loan. Real happy to capture this player. Destined for big things.

Lot of reasonably good players but some won't fit into the system I like using so either I convert them, sell them or change my system. It wasn't as bleak as I first thought.
Some handy youth players in the youth squad so look forward to developing them.
Some movement in the staff room. When the manager left he took staff with him. Hired ex-England fullback Luke Young as my Assistant Manager, he has good judging skills, tactical and motivational skills. Then hired a Youth Development officer to ensure that we don't lose out on the quality youth players entering the system.
Finances are not great but there is profit being made, so that is a positive thing at least.

Cupboard is bare but the facilities are there. An apparent growing club so that is my aim to carry on that.
A a new number one fan. I cannot wait to put Anders the Reserve into his place. Spends some time with Fergie and thinks he can be billy big balls. He has much to learn.
Just like a 5 year old who lost his rattle from the pram. As I said, I cannot wait to smash him and his team.
Despite moving away, I managed to pick up an award. Clean sweep then in South Africa.

Got to see how things go. I'm confident I will spend more than a season here.

So I signed a Cymro standard year deal with FC Midtjylland. Squad is thin on the ground and at first look not many exciting youth prospects.
#171935 Flight of the Dragon
Cymro
So confirmed I have left but where does my future hold ...
Shedender and Johno, interesting choices. The squad is a little thin. It is appealing as is Maccabi Tel-Aviv who possess a tidy 17 year old right mid. Two leagues I have never managed in.
However a decision has been made ...

Two jobs, both to be seriously considered. Do I accept one and move or do I leave the Pirates at the end of my contract and hope for a better job to come my way ... decisions.
#171761 Flight of the Dragon

Panic has set in, 3 meetings in the last week. They won't accept my proposals so the only option is to move on.

Signed on a free towards the end of my first season at the club. The Vietnam international has been ever present. Despite the odd prone match to be comparable to that of the great Massimo Taibi, he does more times than not play like a Vietnamese version of one Gianluigi Buffon.
Club product Prince only gets better with matches played. Has developed well in my two seasons at the club. Easily destined to play at a higher level.
Picked up on a free at the start of the second season and never looked back. Has been pure class whether it has been off the bench or not.
My main man Kermit has been an absolute machine. First season he struggled with getting used to the formation and tactic I had implemented at the club. Once he got to grasp with it. He has not looked back.
#171754 Flight of the Dragon

Sextuplet ... massive. Achieved the maximum here in South Africa. With the board refusing to improve facilities and link with a new parent club, and my contract running out. I think it could be time for a change of scenery.
The league table ended up like this. Despite the gap, it was still a pretty close thing. We just managed to pull away at the end.
#171747 Flight of the Dragon

5 trophies ... just one more to go to complete and win everything within one season ... here goes!
#171733 Flight of the Dragon
Cymro
For such good facilities and youth system we are simply not producing. If we are not producing then it is becoming an issue that I don't fancy managing the club for much longer. I wanted to settle down at the club for a few more seasons but with another reasonably poor youth intake I cannot develop young talent.

#171628 FM14 - Susie On Tour #5: Feyenoord Rotterdam

Feyenoord hail as one of the most famous and most successful sides reigning from the Netherlands and that is exactly where the fifth stage of the tour lands us. In a position of somewhat tough finances, your challenge will be to keep an eye on the books whilst maintaining the expected challenges for Domestic and European glory. To do this, you are provided with a small, youthful but strong squad of players, of which the majority are home grown, the problem will be the ongoing dilemma of whether to cash in on this talent or hold it together to grow. The Feyenoord Academy is very strong and has been relied upon heavily in building this current squad; will you continue this tradition or buck the trend in order to chase glory?
Feyenoord Rotterdam
Founded as Wilhelmina in 1908, Feyenoord most successful and best supported football teams in Holland, having never been relegated to lower divisions and currently compete in Eredivisie, KNVB Cup and UEFA Europa League. In this time the club have amassed 14 Eredivisie titles, 11 KNVB Cups and 2 Johan Cruijff Schaal’s domestically, as well as 1 UEFA Champions League (then European Cup), 1 Club World Cup (then the Intercontinental Cup) and 2 Europa League (then the UEFA Cup) titles, most recently winning it in the 2001-2 season.
Eredivisie
The Eredivisie is the top division in the Netherlands and is ranked as one of the top ten leagues in the UEFA Confederation, with the winner of the competition automatically qualifying for the UEFA Champions League Group Stage. Eighteen clubs complete annually where a Champion is decided and 3 teams are relegated to the Eerste Divisie, depending on play-offs. The last 3 Championships have been won by arch-rival Ajax, the most successful club in the competition, followed by PSV and then Feyenoord.

Another final and another trophy. Squad is now comfortable with the tactic I am using. SuperSport are a tough opposition and really exploited our tiredness at having to play so many games in such a short period of time. Hopefully we can re-group now and push hard for the league. We have a few games in hand and we again need to take advantage of them.
Nice to see we broke a new record.

So we headed for the 3rd place play offs and managed to upset a quite powerful San Lorenzo side. They had their chances to kill us off but we found the right times to score. When they pulled back the second goal I did think that was it, and we were going to get battering like a piece of cod. Yet we stood firm and saw them off. Nice little victory on the world stage.
Handy money which sees our season profit touch £5 million.
