9 bloody injured. Out of 23 the squad is down to the bare bones. Lot of the youngsters are getting chucked in will be a tough challenge to remain competitive. Yet the upside is the youngsters will gain first team experience. Downside it could hinder some player development.

So in a change to the format ... youth intake will get a separate post as it happens before the season starts not during it.
Keen could be the next Harry Kewell ... or so the story goes. The lad has a lot of promise and I hope to develop him here before shifting him on into Europe. Not what I usually like doing but we need the cash. The guy has some good pace and vision. Hopefully will suite us well. Kosmina will also develop into a decent A-League center back, high hopes for this guy too.

Cheers thanks Dan. Been a long old road. Feeling the burn of playing this quite regularly over half term.
I am hoping too. One of the reasons I took the job was to turn them around. Will need to poach the best youngsters to build the squad here.
So a high mid-table finish is something I would be happy with. Newcastle are unreal, have a real strong squad. We are predicted to come 7th. I think we will be there or there about come end of the season. Lot of changes going on at the club in terms of personnel. I have really gone for a young squad in the hope they will out run some of the older sides in the league.

Sorry to hassle you again.
On my screen, you can see some of the information is cramped. My setting is 1366 x 768, 100% zoomed. Is there a solution to this? I know you say run it on (1920x1080) but is there an alternative solution?

The move away from Qatar was an easy decision in the end. It was becoming quite boring to an extent and I needed a new challenge. I enjoyed my time with Al-Sadd but really after the chairman withdrew his funding and certain players were becoming discontent I decided it was time to move on. Brisbane Roar have had quite a rough time of late, regular manager turnovers and lacking of producing talent has really hammered the club. However less than 10 years ago the club was a force in the A-League and that is my intent. Unlike the last few clubs I have been to, money and reputation is sparse and this will mean this will be a much welcome challenge for me.
History of the Club
Brisbane Roar FC is a professional Australian soccer club based in Brisbane, Queensland. They play in the A-League, under license from Football Federation Australia. The club was formed in 1957 as Hollandia-Inala, and became Brisbane Lions, before it transitioned into Queensland Roar, playing under that name from the inaugural 2005–06 season of the A-League until the 2008–09 season. Since joining the A-League, the club has won two league Premierships, three Championships and it has competed in two AFC Champions League competitions. Brisbane Roar holds the record for the longest unbeaten run at the top level of any Australian football code, which stands at 36 league matches without defeat. Brisbane Roar are also the first and only club to win back to back A-League Championships.
Club Profile - The club has really fallen from grace. They were the high flyers and mismanagement and lack of playing quality has meant the side has been on a steady slump. Time for that to hopefully change with my arrival. My aim is to build quietly and go under the radar. The club plays in the Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane which host a variety of other sports. Hopefully we can at some point sell out the stadium.
General Info - Predicted to finish 7th and finish 7th they did. Just however. Had they lost their last game would have finished one above bottom. Simply not good enough for me. The club have some icons and hopefully over time we can build some legends at this club. My project aim is to start being a competing force by my third season here. If I fail and don't achieve this then I will walk away at the conclusion of my third season, if I am not pushed first.
Manager Profile - Things are once again improving slowly. The bars are moving up and I hope to continue this here. My media handling stat has risen astronomically during my time at Al-Sadd, answering calmly as quite clearly helped there. I am surprised that my adaptability and determination is so weak. Considering I have managed and been successful in all the countries I have been at, they should surely be higher.
Facilities - The stadium rent could come back and hurt us if we don't get funding. Our facilities are shocking and will look to get investment into them, if I can corner the chairman to make him do so.
Squad 1 The squad lacks any real depth and talent. Something that I will need to address during my time here. Looking at it we only have one goalkeeper at the squad. It shows how the squad has been neglected. It needs some work and I am looking forward to re-building this squad. First thing I am going to do is raid some of the sporting academy sides in Australia that produce the class regens and hopefully pick someone up.
Staff - Staff needs looking at it. I have brought in Brad Jones as Goalkeeper Coach and the scouts. I ideally want to hire another two scouts and some coaches to help us out. But the market is not deep in quality.
Finances - Not the most colourful picture ...is it?

My third and last season in Qatar and I was looking to end my stint here in the right fashion. During the start of this season we managed to secure the Champions League, my fifth of my career. The aim this season was to win everything and take no prisoners. Hoping to really end my stint here on a massive high.
Just set the stall out from the start and ended too. The 7-1 demolishing of Al-Shahaniya was something else. As was the 6-0 hiding of Al-Shamal. Clubs struggled to cope with us which is surprising considering I rarely tweaked the tactics. The big boys at times just folded and it was easy pickings for us.
Easily the best season in Qatar, secured the title with 3 games to spare. Al-Arabi did come on strong as did Lekhwyia. But we were just to strong for them.
So we came, saw and conquered in all cup competitions. Sorry I'm not rounding this up in more detail, just want to move on to the next big post which follows this. We competed and beat all sides in every cup competition we played in, sides could just not compete and struggled to contain the great talent we have in the squad.
The Champions League saw us come in and boss it. However notably to see we lost to one of my old clubs Saipa who had turned up to the party and gave us a good going over. Gutted to lose to them but in the grand scheme of things it was not a major dent for us.
We went and earned back our 3rd place but ran Arsenal very close. On another day we could have won it. Ultimately they had the better class to see us off. Proud.
Again the squad has gelled well and have developed a real good understanding of the style of football I want. Not a lot of players used this season and majority of them are Qatari qualified now. The youngsters played on a few occasions and did well, if I was here next season they would be stepping up further.
Another Costa Rican arrived. The deal was agreed in my first season but as he was under 18 he wasn't able to transfer straight away. Played sparingly this season but expect him to come good. Eronna's deal is going to boost the coffers greatly.
Finances are not great, the chairman funded some £30 million before withdrawing it all. Has left issues for the club. I didn't sign anyone major this time and looked to scale back on what possible. The eventual sale of Eronna will help boost the club coffers. But a new investor needs to come in.

I have two clubs who have offered me a deal in the same league. Both have their plus points but one club speaks more to me. I have managed the other side briefly in another save that was not documented so not really keen to go there now but if I have to then I will. Either way looking forward to moving there and starting to re-build a depleted squad on a budget.

Now the deciding factor to why I shall be leaving in the near future. His parting gift was to pump £30 million into the club. However the club is seriously losing a great deal of money. It needs investment into it otherwise it is going to sink. I have done my best not to spend silly and do everything in competitions to win them to look after the pennies. Looks like it has been unsuccessful.
