If Moyes has got any sense, which I think he has a lot of, he'll stay well clear of Chelsea.

Why do people want Villa down?

Games involving Villa make me have absolutely no interest in them whatsoever. Plus their fans seem to boo at everything.

Yeah but to be fair, it wasn't entirely his fault. He had no money and they keep selling their best players.

I remember watching Revista De La Liga and they were showing how the fans wanted him out even though he was a fan favourite as a player. I was unsure about the board side of things.

Wasn't Pochettino sacked from Espanyol earlier in the season because they were fucking awful?

I hope they go down now, Adkins was doing a decent job.

And Gill, who was speaking at the FA’s 150th anniversary launch, has now confirmed that the highly-rated youngster is on United’s radar.

“He’s one of the players we’re looking at and we’ll see what happens,” he said. “There’s a long way to go. He’s one of the players we’re looking at. That’s all I’ll say at the moment.”

Gill added: “Even if we did do something with Wilfried Zaha, that would be for the summer.”

Negotiations are understood to be far more advanced than Gill made out, however, with Palace manager Ian Holloway looking into the possibility of taking Federico Macheda on loan as part of the deal.

Elsewhere, United are also believed to be monitoring Swansea City captain Ashley Williams.

Although Sir Alex Ferguson caused controversy by claiming Williams “could have killed” Robin van Persie for kicking the ball at the striker’s head when the two sides met in December, the United boss is believed to be a keen admirer of the player.

Ferguson has increasingly focused his attention on United’s defence over the last few months, with three of his key players coming to the end of their prime. His interest in Leighton Baines to eventually replace Patrice Evra is long-standing, while Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand are 31 and 34 respectively and both have a history of injury problems

Meanwhile, an Old Trafford source confirmed that the club is "waiting to see" what will happen with Wesley Sneijder.

A move is now unlikely despite extensive contact from the playmaker's agent. Only if the player's desperation to secure a move sees a dramatic drop in wage demands, would Ferguson be prepared to take a gamble.

The Scot is understood to be unwilling to alter the dynamic of a team on a good run of form by bringing such a big star into the club.

Yeah I don't know how you can expect anyone to notice the Vidic goal, you could only tell from slow motion replays.

And Webb was terrified of looking bias towards United thanks to the bollocks that's been spouted all week, the Reina incident in particular was ridiculous.

Cool story bro, that's where all the money went.

Yeah because a massive business would risk going broke to finance a new stadium. They wouldn't have built it if the finances weren't there.

Your board members are perfectly content with making a lovely profit each season and settling for 4th, giving the reason that you don't have the money like Chelsea or City and the lot of you buy it.

Oh it does my head in when Arsenal fans cite the big sugar daddies as the reason for their demise and why they don't compete because they have no money. One of the biggest clubs in Europe, playing in the biggest league in the world, who also consistently play in European competition and had enough money to build a brand spanking new massive stadium. Not to mention all the money you've made from selling your best assets for the past few years.
