Maiden71: You feel my pain. The scouts turn up nothing and even if they do the standard is below par. My experiences with BSN - BSP seem to be 10x better than this though, but the good players tend to only sign non-contracts or demand too high wages. Maybe find some good loans?

tbh I'm looking to dump Havant as soon as a job opens up in N Ireland. Only 2 trophies to compete for with Havant, and we have no chance in either of them.

Starting with a Second Division side? OK then, have fun!

Starting unemployed, seems you only get 3 choices..Athlone, Havant or Brechin.

Good luck btw

Think I'm going to get involved with this, fancy a bit of a challenge now the new game is out!

Link to thread: http://sortitoutsi.net/careers/view/1655/a-heart-of-steel

Might not be up straight away as I'm just setting up now.

Good luck One bit of advice re Ramsey in the Havant side..make sure you have decent backup, as during the season and a bit I've been in charge at Havant, Ramsey has been in and out of the treatment room more than the physio.

Also, any tips for finding players in Wales, I'm a bit frustrated with the number of abysmal strikers in the player search. (and the scout reports)

I've had the same problem with Havant in the BSP. I needed to improve several areas of my team to be able to even compete after promotion, but there was bugger all worth signing. Consequently I've only won 1 match so far this season.

So we had the playoff final against Hayes & Yeading who had topped the table almost all season. A tight game but we were victorious!!

http://i1136.photobucket.com/albums/n482/Maiden98/FM 2013/Havantpromotion2.jpg

The ironic thing was that the goalscorer Cox only played in this game because my first and second choice players for his position were injured and suspended; normally he wouldnt have even been on the bench

So that 1 down, 35 to go.

The decision I have to make now is whether to stay at Havant or move elsewhere. I have serious doubts about whether they can compete in the BSP, and would probably be a wasted season. Besides which, I want to get into N Ireland as there's a boatload of trophies there. I'll keep one eye on the Job Centre.

Well after an indifferent previous quarter, we wnt on a 10 match unbeaten streak to secure a playoff spot. The best result being the 5-0 demolition of Salisbury who were one of our playoff spot rivals.

So we finished 4th in the league and beat Billericay in the playoff semi

Congrats on the 3rd trophy! The Euro could be a killer, I'd be tempted to play a 2nd string side and get knocked out asap to avoid fixture congestion.

The run of patchy form continues, bizzarley with 6 wins, 6 draws, and 6 losses in this 3 month period including the FA Trophy matches.

http://i1136.photobucket.com/albums/n482/Maiden98/FM 2013/Jan13results-1.jpg

Getting an unexpected replay against Forest Green in the FA Trophy had an unfortunate side-effect in that I had a glut of injuries around that time (4 in those 2 games alone); at one point I had 7 first team players out in January.

Annoyingly we seem to have picked up the habit of conceding early in almost every game, in fact we went 2-0 down in 4 of the last 5 matches, eventually losing 2 of them 3-2, getting a draw against Dorchester and somehow coming back to win against Boreham Wood. We have plenty of goals for us, but our defensive record is appaulling and is something I will be looking at closely over the coming weeks.

Sitting a couple of points outside of the playoffs, so exceeding expectations, but I will be disappointed with anything less than a playoff place.

(Somehow lost my initital screenshots)

Board expectations..safe mid-table position.

Had a bad start to the season, losing 2-4 to Chelmsford, then went on an 8 match unbeaten run in the league taking the September Manager of the Month award along the way.

Form went a bit patchy after the FA Cup exit

http://i1136.photobucket.com/albums/n482/Maiden98/Nov12results.jpg

Currently sitting 5th in the table, so not too shabby.

After applying for every job available, I had 3 offers:

Brechin City, but I prefer to start in the bottom tier of each country and work up..Brechin are Div 3
Athlone, a wages budget of about 50p and a murray mint put me off
which left me with Havant & Waterlooville (not an easy one to chant from the terraces) in the BS South. (I'd have preferred to start in N Ireland, but no jobs available)

One decent left sided midfielder who was Italian, so he had to go, and dived into the transfer market.

more to come...
