Today Portsmouth announced the loan signing of Leeds Striker Matt Smith, Smith joins Pompey shortly after landing his move from Oldham Athletic to Leeds United, fans have reacted graciously to the new powerhouse and are glad to have him onboard. The 24 year old is loaned to Portsmouth until the end of the season unless he is recalled by parent club Leeds United.

Double trouble for Brownridge!
Brownridge does certainly not mess about in the transfer market! Bringing in two new faces to the Pompey squad; Joel Amablu and Jacob Gibson both free agents after being released by clubs last year.
Journalist: "You Sit here alongside your new signings. You must feel a sense of pride on a day like this?"
Jack Brownridge: "I am delighted to be able to welcome them to the club."
The press conference took place with questions being asked and shots of the manager with his two brand new signings and their shirts.

Brownridge Takes Portsmouth Hot Seat
Today, Jack Brownridge was formally appointed as Portsmouth Football Club manager on a 1 year deal, the Garforth(Leeds) born manager was keen to get things started with the club saying "I'm delighted to be appointed, now I want to crack on with the games and get some new faces in that could get us promotion, of course that Is my aim this season but it won't be hard."
