I've signed this player a few times & he's the best in the lower leagues. beyond that, id look further.

Thought I would rename this thread to provide a list of top quality old free DCs that can still do a job!
there's just so many out there that deserve a place in any side. every team needs an older defender that can pull the strings and be an inspiration to younger guys and here's the guys that can do it...

cant quite believe why this current international has been released tbh, I don't know too much about him IRL but he's defo interested and is in his prime. a must for lower leaguers.

this is a tough one. he isn't an international, nor is he European, but if you're playing abroad then stat wise, I wouldn't look further than this lad-

ok, I've been a fan of tom for a while as you can usually pick him on a free straight away on the past two games. he isn't getting any younger, but he can still do the biz. his twin brother is also worth a shout at DR as well.

I'm gunna give this man his own thread as I think he deserves it. If there was a,
'life-time-achievement-award-for-being-the-best-free-transfer-player-you-can-sign-in-game-as-a-lower-divison-team-in-FM', then this guy would win it!

ever since FM2009 this lad has been on a free transfer. his stats are still amazing even now. I love him like a brother. hell, I've even emailed Bradford city to sign the man! please give it up for seyfo soley...

love this next striker. he will sign for most lower league sides which is surprising considering how well he's done in the past. he isn't the quickest, granted but he will smash any division. very highly thought of IRL and I'm surprised he's still a free agent. the good thing about him is that he's half Italian so he doesn't need WP.

couldn't believe I signed this guy! it took me all my wage budget in one network game but he was well worth it! I think the older players will remember his unfruitful time at villa, but for my Eastleigh team, he's was the goats goolies!

Ok folks, started a network game as Middlesboro a few week back and I absolutely smashed the championship with a few really good signings. I didn't mess around too much with the tactics and I played a straight 442. admittedly, I did put £10m into everybody's kitty to make things even but I think these players are defo worth a shout-

ok, I'm new to the staff team, hello, and I've been around this site for a long long time. I think I first invented a user name in 2003 & promptly got banned fairly quickly afterwards by some militant 'pissed with power mod'! ha ha! I've had many different guises since then on this site and I can honestly say the chat on here used to be more vibrant and engaging all things FM wise.

it saddens me to see that the most active threads aren't FM related and I think that needs seriously addressing. the site defo needs streamlining as far as categories, subcategories & subsubcategories are concerned as its just getting far too confusing!
this is THE best site outside of the official one. always has been. but I think rob is going the right way about it.

I defo play FM. all the time tbh. its time for a change and bringing in new faces to the squad will do that. the time of cleon is over long ago! I remember him, he was about as much fun as syphilis.

yes. although it shouldn't take a 'few days'. if you upgrade to 'premium member' its far far quicker for downloads. only costs a tenner for the year. a small price for the best graphics download site.

wrong picture mate! although I do agree, rochine is a quality player for championship level and has the potential to be a good premier one in the future. great flair which is a must for a good AMC for me.
