Serious question: Can the AI even adjust to it over time?
I think the rules are definitely not a good fit for the first season, if that is possible giving teams 3 years to fix their squads would be sensible.

While I really like the general idea, I think it was very awkward to use the old player registration rules.
Most modern squads are not at all capable of filling those.
