Not the best of season starts ever. But there a re a lot of excuses to be made. The team wasn't at full strength as I would have liked it. The players wheren't match fit at all. I introduced them to a new tactic which the had to fully learn from scratch. So hopefully now those things are falling into place we can improve on the results. And the front runners aren't out of reach yet, so maybe we can still content for the title.
I have been active on the transfer market sice i felt we needed to strenghten the squad in four positions. GK, MC (attacking), AML and SC. Further i wanted more depth in DM and AMR. And as there is a rule where you need to have atleast 3 U21 players I needed to bring some of those in aswell since there wheren't many good ones at the club.
Just before the transfer deadline a good GK was offered for loan: Thomas Dau
One of the first deals I did was to bring in an atticking orientated MC: Daniel Toth
At first i brought in Julian Erhart as AML but later a good loan deal was presented and I also got Stefan Savic
On the striker position I got Baba Collins
Leaving me now with a team I feel comfortable with, both for the first eleven as for depth.

After rejecting basicly all Austrian top clubs, finaly a job in the lower league came availeble, well finaly, it was still fast. Grazer AK didn't hasitate to hire me eventho i was contracted to there rivals before. The squad looks very good.

After winning the Austrian FA Cup and finishing 2nd in the league. I decided to resign my position at SK Sturm Graz, leaving them in a healthy finacial position. Now persuing a job to get my promotion down!

Had a very good two month with only one defeats. And lately we start to banging them in very easily. The two team from Wien slipped up these 2 month giving us the oppertunity to get close again.

As I already had annouced I didn't do anything during the transfer window. We had a more then decent winter break with some very good results. It looked we took the good form into the league, but two major injuries set the team back a bit. With 2 draws and a win after the restart we are in danger of losing the connection with the front runners. But then again I just need to make sure i won't get fired before I win the cup. And i still have high hopes we can get this season as a lot of the big clubs are out already.

We did embarrass ourselfs again Bayern away losing 8-0. Further we are falling behinde in the league haveing trouble with Austria and Rapid Wien. Those two are pulling away at the moment.
With winter tranfer period open, i wont be doing any business. As i am please with the squad.

I'll start of with the Champions League, it brought me as much as i expected from it this far. Money! Altho we aren't embarrasing ourselfs its way out of our league.
In the league things remain tight, we drop some points around our Euopean matches and i am rotating a lot with all my players to keep everyone matchfit and happy.
The cup goes as i hoped it would be, we got some easy opponents and we put them aside easily. With a lot of good teams already out of the cup. It definitly looks on for this season. Next round we had a good draw again, altho it will be our 4th away match in succesion.

A pretty pleasing start of the season. We got through the first round of the cup quiet easy, and second round draw isn't to bad either. Also passed through the Champions League qualifiactions without trouble. Putting aside Red Star and Stromsgodset easily. We got an intresting draw for the group stage. Don't think we will get many points there.
I did two more signings after pre-season. Stefan Meierhofer as Target men and Lazarus Shereni as talented Defender/Midfielder.
The Champions League qualifacation leaves us in a hefty financial position.
In the League we are in again for a tight season with all teams in contention. But ofcourse will my main focus be the cup this year.

Had a decent run of friendly's, especialy because we had to complete the team during the friendly's. WIth a good draw for the cup i have a good chance to procede to the first 2 rounds. First up is SV Höchst and if i win that SV Grödig.
Signed 3 players for the first eleven
Fabian Schönheim on loan
Aureliano Torres on free transfer
Grün on free transfer
And three more on back-up
Mads Laudrup; Marvin Weinberger; Harun Sulimani
Leaving with a decent squad, not great but hopefully good enough to win the cup. By the way I play a 3-4-3.

A wierd season ended in us lifting the title in first season in Austria.
In the last match I needed the same result as Red Bulls Salzburg, and not to lose. Will my match remaind at 0-0, Red bull went up two times and lost there lead again. When they went up a third time 20 minutes from the end it looked all over. But then in extra time we managed to score a winner to claim us the title.
Never had such a tight competions between so much teams. So with the title down the cup will be my priority next season.

A very decent start to my Sturm Graz career. With a couple of good rsults, i am still in contentions for the title. But i still could also be left with nothing. Never seen such a tight competition as this one. With just 3 points between the number 1 and mumber 6.

I didn't bring in many new faces at the winter transfer period. The squad has enough strenght as it is, i only brought in two in depth reinforcements:
Emile Mpenza on free transfer
Torben Joneleit on loan
Friendlies didn't go as i wanted, as for most games we where the better team but didn't manage to win, or win big enough.

A month with mixed emotions and a theme. Get an early goal and see if you can hang on to the lead.
Against Middlesbrough: Daniel Schröer gave us the early lead and we managed to hang on to it.
Against Charlton: Stéphane Madeira gave us the lead, but we conceded on both sides of the break.
Against QPR: Early goals by Chiró N'Toko and Daniel Schröer got us 2-0 up bt we fell behinde 2-3 when the latest saved a point for us
Against Birningham: Again Daniel Schröer before the half hour, but lost to two 2nd halve goals.
Against Bolton: This time Diogo Rosado on the 8th minute, but 3 nd halve goals gave it away.
Against Nottingham Forest: Daniel Schröer at the first minute, and on the halve time wistle we added a second to secure the win.
Against Burnley we decided to go the other way around and let them have the early goal. We took three 2nd halve goals (two by Chuks Aneke) to clinch the game.
All in all not a bad month which kept us in touch with the leaders. For his preformance Daniel Schröer won the Young Player of the Month titel

A pleasing start of the season. Winning 3 of the 4 league matches. And my new striker finding the net easily at the moment.
First of was Millwall at home. We went behinde after 3 minutes, but soon new signing Daniel Schröer opened his account for the club. A second goal came from a long trow before the break. 2nd halve was eventfull but goalless giving us the important first win of the season.
Next we embarrassed ourselfs against D2 club Torquay. We where the better side and we allowed only 3 shot at our goal. But that was enough for them to walk away with a 3-1 win.
Against Chesterfield a wierd goal by Daniel Schröer, of his head and shoulde spinning around the keeper, was enough for the away win.
Against current league leader Cardiff we went ahead after 1 minute from a long trow. But in an evenly matched fixture they scored froma cheap penalty and a brilliant individual effort to get all the points.
The team bounced back with a good match against Sheffield Wednesday. Daniel Schröer scoring a hattrick and Chuks Aneke making it four without reply.
At the moment we are among the best teams. But with a long way to go lets hope we can keep ourselfs in the play-off spots.
