I was very impressed by him when he joined. Slotted into the position like he's been here for years. He had two really unfortunate injuries but at least it helped Bellerin develop quicker. Can't wait to see him back in the team as he was the perfect right back for us and a steady ship in a really rocky defence at the start of the season.

I'd be uncomfortable if the only backup for Coquelin is Arteta. Schneiderlin would be a perfect hybrid of the 2 aforementioned and will be a lot more useful in games where we need to control the game completely as Coq's distribution is beyond poor. I reckon Theo & Santi are off (can't see why Rosicky would stay otherwise). Flamini & Diaby also are set to be leaving the club too.

And I agree on a CB. Koscielny for me is the 2nd best CB in the Prem behind Terry, but Mertesacker, although great alongside him is still a worry. Gabriel has looked excellent whenever he plays so hopefully he can make the step up but I think we won't be in the market for one as we have them 3 and Chambers who will be a CB.

I also think we need another World Class winger, especially if Theo leaves. Oxlade-Chamberlain is fantastic but he's still young, if we ever managed to sign someone like Reus then push Alexis to the left then there's no reason why we shouldn't be challenging for the title next season. But tbh I expect at least a title push next season regardless of what happens in the market.

Should go for Cavani.

Think I'd prefer Jackson than the Cavani we've seen over the last couple of years. Everytime I've seen him play he has been absolutely wank.

Giroud is a good striker, he's just not one of the best in the world which is what Arsenal need.

Yeah I don't mind him as a backup striker as he gives us a completely different option and would have great impact coming off the bench. But some people on an Arsenal forum believe that he's better than fucking Lewandowski and Diego Costa.

Hopefully we can get Jackson, don't think we've got any chance of getting someone like Benzema.

You seriously think anyone in their right mind would offer 10m AND Walcott or Ox for a 32 year old keeper?? We could easily get 20m for Theo and Ox is one of the last players I'd get rid of.

Hopefully the Jackson Martinez rumours are true. Not really seen much of him but if he bangs in goals at least it'd stop the stockholm syndrome for people who think Giroud is a good striker.

It's so Liverpool that their fans underrate Sterling when he's about to leave. He's a fantastic talent and deserve the opportunity at a bigger club. It's important for himself and England too

We need to lose 1-0 and United win 7-0 for us not to finish third. At this rate I would expect us to name even more attacking mids in the starting XI and for that to actually happen then lose to Tactics Tim in the final

Even more evidence that you can't play 200000 attacking mids at the same time and win

Why should he stay at Liverpool for another two years when he's good enough to play for a better and bigger club?

Sterling being 'greedy' is the biggest crock of shit I've heard.

When Nasri, van Persie, Cesc left it all wasn't about greed from the tabloids. It was about bettering their careers at better clubs. It's exactly the same case here and the Liverpool bias among today's media is pretty fucking absurd.

Cry me a river.

Woeful team, its basically the same side that almost won the league, now Suarez didnt have a problem playing in that woeful team and being decent.

Also hes played up front cause with Sturridge out he qas our best option there. And he actually looked decent up there for a while until he decided to be a whiny little prick. Hed never get into Joses side cause he doesnt work hard enough and track back, plus hes actually very wasteful with the ball. At City hell end up like every other Sinclair etc player they signed. No idea where the Bayern link is coming from but he wont fit into that team at all imo, let alone all the different league, country etc bullshit.

The thing is hes actually got potential to be a decent player, had it not been for letting all the fame get to him. Hes had one good season and thinks hes the gods gift. Ill be glad to see the back off him with all this bullshit hes spouting after Rodgers showed immense trust in him.

He will be a World Class player, and he'll easily find his potential away from a crackpot manager.

Yes, that 4th place finish for years must have been such a proud achievement. Plus one trophy (well you might make it 2 this year) for 10 years is a great record. Youre also making it sound like youve had no cash, yet weve splashed about splashed about, when our spending has been low key on average and not really splashed much on one player (other than Carroll but the less said the better). Pre Benitez leaving era (after which we had a massive dip - in stature and football terms, with the new owners only just about clearing the bullshit), I think an FA cup, Champions League, plus a couple semis and quaters was a decent return for such a poor club. Yeah league has always been an achilles but thats another story, and Id argue we came closer to challenging for it than you have in the last decade (last year and 2009).

Edit: My bad with spelling, was on my phone

07/08 was the best team we had for a long time. Big things could've been achieved if it wasn't for a ridiculous captain in Gallas, an error prone LB in Clichy & Martin Tyler fatality'ing Eduardo's leg just as soon as he hit goalscoring form didn't really help. The problem is with the challenges Liverpool have made especially is that it has always hinged on one or two players. Take them out and you're left with a realistic 7th place finish and no ability to be able to challenge for the title until another class player comes along.

To be fair we could've actually had a title shout last year if it wasn't to Wenger being the most incompetent I've seen in a while. He's rectified it completely but his stubborn head still rears it's ugly head every now and then.

And if Sterling goes & players like Ings and Berahino come in; well you'll be waiting a long time to challenge again. Liverpool aren't going attract Reus, Pedro etc and have failed to build on solid foundations once again. Whereas for Arsenal, well I'm looking forward to the next couple of years. An Özil/Alexis signing every summer, players keep developing and once Arsene retires the manager who comes in will have one of the best jobs in football. Can't see us winning the League within the next 5 years, but as long as we challenge and continue to get the odd FA Cup and show progress in Europe then I can't have any complaints.

Sterling has been average this season partly because of himself not giving a fuck, partly because of the woeful team he's in and massively because his manager is a fucking idiot. Why would you ever put Sterling up front? It's the same ridiculousness with Di Maria and Van Gaal.

He'd get in ahead of Oscar for me and he'd walk into City's side imo. Even Bayern would be a great move for him with Robben & Ribery being over 30.

And yeah, we were a selling club because one, we were a bit wank and two we had massive financial restrictions. That clearly hasn't been the case at Liverpool and the fact we've finished above you for the majority of the move to the Emirates where Andrey Arshavin was our most expensive player in about 13 years at the fee of 15m is a testament of how poor of a football club Liverpool are.

Sterling has a plethora of options, and every single one is a fantastic move for him in all aspects. If Ibe gets anywhere near as good as Sterling does then he'll be doing the same thing.

Thought Wenger had changed and his stubbornness was gone. Clearly not, playing against a big team away from home and Giroud & Ramsey are part of a front 3 when we're sitting deep?

Makes complete sense, that.

It's a pain in the arse to get home. I've never left early from a game but the Arsenal station is rammed and if it isn't running then Finsbury Park is the next closest and quite a walk.

You won the game through a ridiculously bad error from Valencia in an otherwise even game.

It's hardly the sort of game to be bragging about.

That match was the first time we haven't shit the bed playing against United in about 10 years.

Well, a few weeks ago I was confident. But after three defeats on the bounce with no goals it's a worry.

Palace away could go either way, they've lost their last two, but if we play like we've done we'll lose. Arsenal at home is huge and Hull away could be tricky - but maybe they'll be secure by then.

Arsenal could potentially be our most winnable game, because you'd think we'd turn up for that - like we did for City, Liverpool and Spurs. I also hope Chelsea do us a favour this weekend.

We thought you'd turn up against us at OT in the FA Cup as well
