That is the way most people like to play - and that is fundamentally what the ‘standard’ version of the Data Update does.

 

When transfers have happened in real-life, they will be reflected into the Data Update as ‘having happened’. To use the Dean Huijsen example: it's currently a future transfer, set to go through on 1st June 2025 (which matches the real-life situation). On 1st June 2025, the Data Update will process that transfer and so the version released on that day/the day after will have him at Real Madrid.

 

The point in time when you can have Dean Huijsen at Real Madrid from the start is going to be the first version of the Data Update after the transfer goes through in real-life. Essentially, you're about 5 days early from right now.

 

I do think there is a point in time (soon, but not quite yet) when things like ages, contracts and so on will all be rolled back the extra year. I do not know exactly what calendar date that will be. The way to think about it is right now we are right at the end of the 2024/25 season. Soon we'll be at the start of the 2025/26 season.

 

Yeah that makes sense mate, it's a complex issue so I understand.

Basically just wait until June 1st to start my new save and should be all good haha, hopefully Wirtz has joined Liverpool by then!

No there's no way.

 

You may see some people using a “real results” file to fast forward the game but it's not possible to do knockout competitions so the wrong teams qualify for Europe and the wrong teams get promoted and relegated through playoffs.

 

Our way is much better, all the contract dates and birth dates are updated as well as player histories, the only issue is the way the date appears on screen.

 

How does this work with the future transfers for this window? For example, Huijsen to Madrid will go through in July 2024 but the game starts in July 2023. Is there any way to separate the transfers in a file maybe? I want to start the game from this summer, I don't care about the date but I'd like to start the summer transfer window as it is in real life now with Huijsen at Madrid etc at the very start of my save

Is this possible?
