Hi!! Sorry to bother you, but I need some help

I've been using CPv kits for a while, and whenever i wanted to insert sleeve patches or sponsors, it autimatically cuts the layer and adjusts it to the original template's limits, like this: 

and since i started using SS kits, i can't find the option to do so. More specifically, i don't know how to do it, so my kits end up like this:

does anyone know how i can do it??
