Thanks guys, I have to be honest, Fabian has been pretty disappointing in the left back position but I'm hoping that sticking with him will give him confidence and he'll get into it.

Tottenham Hotspur are off to a flying start in the league. Despite a disappointing 2-1 loss to Cardiff in their season opener, Tottenham Hotspur find themselves fighting for top position in the league table as we move into October, having defeated West Ham, Swansea, Liverpool, and West Brom and playing to a 1 all draw against cross-town rivals, Chelsea.

The Lilywhites are being led in almost all statistics by their Icelandic midfielder, Gylfi Sigurdsson who has scored five goals in ten appearances, the club best, and has made 5 assists as well (also leading the team). In eight matches, Sigurdsson has been rated Man of the Match an impressive three times and he managed to score the Premier League's goal of the month in September. Marquee signing Klaas-Jan Huntelaar has also notched three goals in all competitions for the Spurs.

Despite the positives, Spurs have seen an early exit from both the Euro League after a horrendous loss to Elfsborg at the Lane and an equally disappointing loss to Bolton in the Capital One Cup.

Manager Marc Wouters said that he was pleased with the team's performance in the Premier League overall and looked forward to a long and successful campaign. "Now that we're only playing Premier League football, I would consider anything less than a top two finish in the Premier League to be a disappointment. We are still working hard to iron out some kinks and to find our regular starting 11 -- players will have an opportunity to prove themselves both on the training pitch and in matches until we have something that really begins to dominate, especially in the matches that we should be dominating."

I'm just going to make a quick post to update you all on what's happened so far. First of all, here's the transfer history:

http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i260/Harryhind/TransferHistory.jpg

I am pleased to have been able to make a decent profit on my transfers which will benefit the club in the long run. We've also signed what I think are some key players to come right into the first team. I'm still looking to sell a few more of our players (Kaboul being one of them), but if things stay as they are, I'll be pretty happy with it.

As for fixtures, we've done alright so far. We're still training hard to get everyone match fit and get our tactics to 100%. After that, I'll train on high at team cohesion until it feels good. Then it will be attacking movement. Here's the fixtures:

http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i260/Harryhind/UpdateFixtures1.jpg

If you guys wanna see any of the players' stats I've signed, let me know.

A flurry of Transfer news coming out of White Hart Lane today as manager Marc Wouters has wasted no time in making his presence felt with the squad. In a whirlwind move, the new manager has made 3 transfer deals in short succession, selling Emanuel Adebayor to Lazio for just over 6 million pounds, and buying Shalke's star striker Klaas Jan Huntelaar for 12.75 million and promising Dutch defensive midfielder, Daley Blind, for 9.5 million. The Club also announced that future prospect Shaquille Coulthirst will be going on loan to MK Dons.

It is expected that the acquisition of Blind will free the club up to sell the injury-prone Brazilian holding midfielder, Sandro, who has had a hard time putting in consistent performances between nagging injuries. The Club is also rumoured to be looking to offload Younes Kaboul who has been disappointing in his performances and equally liable to injury as Sandro. The French centre back is in the last year of his contract.

BACKROOM STAFF RESTRUCTURED
Posted by Tottenham Hotspur on July 4, 2013

Marc Wouters has wasted no time in restructuring his backroom staff.

The Club has parted ways with several members of its backroom staff including Franco Baldini (Director), Chris Ramsay (Assistant Manager), John McDermott (Youth Director), Nathan Gardiner (Fitness Coach), Les Ferdinand (Coach), Luis Martins (Coach), Mick Brown (Chief Scout). This was announced by Chairman Daniel Levy at a special conference with the new Manager, Marc Wouters, yesterday at the Lane.

"We have come to agreements with all of the parties to terminate their contracts mutually. Marc and I agreed that the best way forward was to give him the opportunity to build his own backroom staff to help develop the club and bring us forward. I have full faith in Marc and believe that he will create a team to surround him and bring the best out of the squad."

Marc announced shortly thereafter that he had come to preliminary agreements with several key members of his staff including Director of Football Rudi Voller (Leverkusen), Youth Director Bernhard Peters (Hoffenheim), Chief Scout John Steen Olson (Ajax), and Assistant Manager Bruno Demichellis who is currently unemployed. Fan favourite Steffen Freund will remain at the club as a coach under Wouters.

MARC WOUTERS HIRED AS NEW MANAGER
Posted by Tottenham Hotspur on July 2, 2013

The Club is delighted to announce the appointment of Marc Wouters as our new Head Coach on a one-year contract.

http://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/uploadedImages/Shared_Assets/Images/News_images/SEASON_13-14/WHL/whl_nets730.jpg?n=9107&targetTypeID=HighResNewsImage

Marc joins us from Club Brugge in Belgium where he enjoyed a great deal of success, guiding them to a top flight victory and an appearance at the UEFA Champions' League.

Wouters spent the last two years at Brugge after a successful 18-month stint at Championship side Nottingham Forrest. At both clubs, he entertained fans with high-pressing, attacking football and a penchant for developing young talents at the club. He also enjoyed a successful playing career, making his debut for RC Lens in France in 1995 and securing a transfer to Tottenham in 2001 for 3.7 million pounds. He retired in 2007 after making an astonishing 230 appearances for the Club. Wouters was also capped by Belgium 34 times in total and he was credited with 22 assists.

Commenting on the appointment, Chairman Daniel Levy said:

"In Marc I believe we have a Head Coach who, with his high energy, attacking football, will embrace the style of play we associate with our Club. He has a proven ability to develop each player as an individual, whilst building great team spirit and a winning mentality.

"We have a talented squad that Marc is excited to be coaching next season."

Marc Wouters had this to say:

"I loved my playing time at Spurs and I am extremely happy to be back at the Club. The squad are an enormously talented one and I think we stand an excellent chance to make it to the Champions' League next year."

Wouters has indicated that he intends to meet with the rest of the staff at the club and make some tough decisions about who to keep and who to replace.

Introduction

Good afternoon ladies and gents, I'm very disappointed that my Rangers save, which I had been enjoying quite a lot got corrupted and so I cannot carry on but that's presented me with the opportunity to manage my favourite club, Tottenham Hotspur. I am looking forward to bringing you what I think will be an extremely enjoyable save wherein I do my best to realize Spurs' goals of reaching and, eventually, winning the Champions' League. I hope to follow a similar format to the one I was using with Rangers, wherein I post news releases both from the club and from various publications as though they were real life. I hope you enjoy.

Tottenham have sacked Manager Andre Villas-Boas ahead of the coming season after it was revealed that the Portuguese manager was interested in moving to Barcelona.

Chairman Daniel Levy, who has become known for his revolving door policy regarding managers, said that the recent rumours about Villas-Boas' future were, in fact, true and that the situation became untenable. "We decided to part ways with Andre after we were made aware that he was, indeed, actively pursuing a position at Barcelona. We felt it was only fair to the players and the supporters and the club as a whole that the manager of Tottenham be committed to the club and its continued growth. Whereas Andre could not give us that commitment, we have opted to find an alternative."

The parting of ways is not likely to upset many Spurs fans as AVB was never a truly popular selection, having spent some time at the helm of the Lillywhite's cross-town rivals, Chelsea. Furthermore, Villas-Boas' playing style was one that supporters never really got behind.

The Club have confirmed that their Technical Director, Tim Sherwood, would be taking the helm while they sought a replacement for Villas-Boas who was hoping to rebuild his reputation in the English game after being sacked by Chelsea after just eight months in March of 2012.

"We wish Andre well in the future and shall make an announcement in due course regarding the signing of a new manager," said a statement from the Club.

Former Spurs striker and BBC presented, Gary Lineker, "Would love to see Glenn Hoddle given another chance at this level. Has a brilliant football mind."

The Italian, Franco Baldini, helped oversee the club's transfer policy as Director of Football over the summer after the sale of Spurs' superstar Gareth Bale for a record-setting £85.3m. It is widely expected that Baldini will remain a member of the backroom staff and will have a hand in selecting the new manager.

The Board of Rangers can confirm that approximately 35,000 season tickets have been sold for the club's forthcoming League One campaign.

The sales numbers represent a reduction in the requirement for short term financing as highlighted by the Business Review Summary published on April 25, 2013, particularly given the updated pricing scheme for the 2013/2014 season. Application for new season tickets opened a month ago and have been well received. There are still opportunities to apply for season tickets for the coming season, although they are going quickly. The club very much looks forward to welcoming more supporters back for our continued pursuit of top-level Scottish football, and we are sure that this season will be a successful one.

In other news, the club drew Stirling in the Scottish Cup's second round draw. That fixture will take place on Saturday July 3, 2013. Manager Euan Gillies said that "we are looking forward to making amends for our poor performance in the last match against Ayr. The boys want to make up for it."

Rangers trump Ayr in Challenge Cup
Saturday June 27, 2013

The Gers overcame a two goal deficit to secure victory in Scottish Challenge Cup.

http://i4.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/article3149088.ece/binary/JS32498123.jpg

Rangers fans are cautiously optimistic following their team's victory against Ayr United in the Challenge Cup yesterday. Although Rangers secured victory, they only managed to do it after going down 2-0 in the 29th minute following Michael McGowan's second goal.

Rangers drew within one two minutes later when the young defender Chris Hagerty connected with a David Templeton cross and hit the back of the net. The Gers wouldn't have to wait until the second half to get level, as Dean Shiels managed to score a headed goal in the 41st minute.

When they came out of the dressings rooms at half time, Rangers looked like a team possessed creating several chances to score before Dean Shiels finally netted his second goal from the left flank and put the Rangers ahead in the 51st minute. The team's defense took over from there and shut up shop in front of Gallacher to ensure that the Gers would move on in the competition.

"I was rather disappointed that we had created that hole for ourselves to dig out of," said Euan Gillies. "I didn't expect to have to work that hard for a victory in this match and I think the lads are all as disappointed as I am by that. We will need to do better in future."

Good luck with Rangers

It's nice to see another Rangers career on these forums.

I myself had a career with them going (currently in the Hall of Fame[/cheapplug]) were I dominated so it's doable. Good luck.

Thanks lads. Looking forward to it. I'll check your career out, Shedender.

Rangers' backroom staff departures
Saturday June 30, 2013

Rangers part ways with several members of the backroom staff including Assistant Manager, Kenny McDowall.

http://www.eveningtimes.co.uk/sites/default/files/imagecache/400xY/2013/4/20785298.JPG

Rangers have announced that several members of their backroom staff have agreed to part ways with the club in order to allow the new manager, Euan Gillies, to bring in his own team. Amongst the names of those who've agreed to terminate their contract is Assistant Manager Kenny McDowall, and Chief Scout Sandy Jardine.

McDowall enjoyed a good working relationship with the club's former Manager, Ally McCoist, and had been at the club since 2007. He leaves Rangers now to pursue a manager's role elsewhere. "I have nothing but positive things to say about Rangers, the club, the people, and their new manager, Euan who spoke to me personally about his decision to look elsewhere for an Assistant Manager. We both agreed it was for the best."

Jardine, a club legend, has agreed to leave as Chief Scout and will retire from scouting. "Rangers runs in my blood and I will always be a supporter of the club and the people who are there. It became clear to me that it was time for me to pass the reins on to a new group and allow Euan to exercise control over the direction this club takes. I have faith in him and look forward to seeing his progress and the club's."

Other names that join McDowall and Jardine are the club's fitness coach, Jamie Ramsden, and head physiotherapist, Steve Walker. It is widely expected that Rangers is on the look-out for new staff members to come and join Gillies in shaping the club's future.

When asked about releasing two big names at the club, Gillies said that McDowall and Jardine have served this club well in the past and that he is hopeful that both men will have a future at the club in other roles. "Kenny and Sandy are obviously very highly respected among the Gers and I hope we can work something out to have them involved in the future, but the present requires a change in direction and that's what I'm overseeing -- it's why I've been brought in."

Rangers hire new manager, Gillies
Tuesday June 25, 2013

The Glasgow Rangers have hired their new manager following the departure of Ally McCoist and it's the man many expected to take the helm: former Scotland International and Rangers defender, Euan Gillies.

https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQFXCqgFUgd0BsoBEe5VkSXlzuhrk3c3YifeotMUL-CVEJow2gD

Gillies has been brought in to take control of a strong Rangers squad who are poised to gain promotion for the second straight season. Rangers supporters will hope that their new gaffer's tenure will be one that sees Rangers propelled back to the top of Scottish football quickly and with flair, but the club's Chairman, David Somers, will be mindful of the balance sheet and will likely exercise tight control over the money available to the manager.

"We are in a position, now, where we can gain promotion and I would fully expect us to do so," said Somers during the press conference which re-introduced the Rangers man. "However, we must be vigilant that we are not over-spending in the pursuit of excellence. We've got to remember that we are looking to bring a club out of financial insolvency and the Board of Directors is very hopeful that we can create a financial and footballing environment that is conducive to long-term success."

Gillies concurred: "I have discussed a long-term plan with David and the others and we all agree that we can't spend ourselves silly in these early years of recovery. I'm confident that the current squad is very strong and in a position to gain promotion immediately this year -- in that respect, Ally has done a great job before me -- and I believe that this means that we can afford to hold off on spending great sums of money in the next few years. Really that's out of the question."

The new manager had a playing career that spanned 18 years including 12 years at Rangers and 6 years at London's Tottenham Hotspur. He then spent three years coaching with West Brom Albion and another six years as a coach and then assistant manager at Nottingham Forrest. This represents his first role as the gaffer at a club but he told reporters that he is confident that he has what it takes to spark a renewal for The Gers: "I'm intimately aware of the inner workings of the club -- I've been following and supporting Rangers since I was a wee lad. I've had experience on the pitch and on the touchline at some notable clubs in England and I'm pleased to now be back home in Glasgow where I can help my club return to prominence and, hopefully, get even higher than we have already done in the past."

The club's supporters group said they are happy to see a man who is so well-known to the Teddy Bears at the helm and look forward to his tenure.

Good afternoon/evening,

The fall of The Gers rocked football across the world. I for one never expected the Scottish FA to take such a hard stand against one of their two biggest clubs. I never expected the rest of the Scottish Premiership to accept and, indeed, support the removal of one of the two clubs whose visits to their stadiums injected their fledgeling clubs with cash every time. I never expected that the FA would allow Goliath to fall and, in so doing, predictably hand the league over to the Old Firm rivals across town. But there we are. I will be taking control of Rangers in June of 2013 and trying to bring them back to the pinnacle of Scottish football and, eventually, to succeed at the Champions' League.

I have loaded the following leagues as playable:

Scotland -- League 2 and above
England -- League 1 and above
Germany -- Bundesliga
Italy -- Serie A
Spain -- La Liga

Wish me luck.
