Well, considering there’s a whole ecosystem dedicated to updating CM0102 with the latest transfers and personnel regularly I thought that may apply to a particular FM title as well. 
 

If not, no biggie. I’ll just try out FM26. But a lot of people seem to be saying not to.

I've been a long time fan of the series, playing since Championship Manager 01/02 with a lot of breaks inbetween. I recently started playing CM0102 again but it wasn't really scratching the itch, I still wanted some of the modern features.

 

Loads of people seem to warn me off playing FM26, so I was wondering what's the best one to play? I have FM2012, 2014, 2021, and 2022. I'm not opposed to buying another one if needs be.

 

Ideally I want the latest transfers etc. and best balance of experience. What does everyone enjoy playing the most? Is it even possible for example to play FM2012 with the latest transfers/players?
