Morten Frendrup has a contract ending in 2026 as per the site.

 

Why are you saying it should be 2028? Has he signed a new contract in real life? In that case that change needs to be made, you can read how to do so here

 

If i've misunderstood can you please explain a little more clearly

 

Apologies I could have been more clear.

 

What I meant is that Frendrup has a contract ending in 2028 in real life per Transfermarkt - i.e ending 3 years from now (2025). His contract in the Data Update correctly ends in 2026 - 3 years from 2023 which is the FM24 start date. All good so far.

 

What I had an issue with is that when using the +2 Contracts and Age file, the correct contract lengths seem to have been overridden, meaning that a lot more contracts were ending after one season than they should (for example Frendrup) even though the Sortitoutsi data seems to be correct. Therefore I'm thinking the +2 file might be bugged? 

 

I tried installing it twice with the same issue, but might be a mistake on my part. Got it working anyways with my workaround so no big deal, and no one else has flagged it so could be fine.

Love the work, appreciate it a lot and makes FM exciting again.

 

I'm running into an issue with the +2 file however - it seems like contracts are not updated for a decent amount of players compared with no file. For example, I'm playing with Genoa and players like Frendrup and Vasquez have correct contract expiry dates with no file - 2028 in real life, 2026 in game. With the +2 file however, the players are older but both contracts end in 2024 (end of first season). Looking at the player search this seems to be the case for other clubs as well - getting about 30% more “Contract expiring in 1 year” players in the +2 file than no file comparing the two saves with equivalent search filters (~40k players vs 30k players).

Any fixes I can do in the short term? Or just wait for an update? Thanks in advance!

EDIT: I used FMRTE (already had it) to add 2 years to everyone except for the added players, which should work when using no file.
