@barnetfan @Runealdo9 I think this is just a case of not everyone singing from the same hymn sheet unfortunately, those transfers SHOULD have been put through as a future transfer up until tomorrow, when they would automatically be converted.

 

If you are referencing submissions like that it's helpful to link to them and tag the submitter + moderator rather than everyone individual person who reads the thread having to go search them out themselves and then someone else tag the individuals. In the Barnet case it was @LBOW6 for example.

 

These 2 weeks are always super awkward because the Prem has finished for a couple of weeks so everyone wants to move on to next season, but other leagues haven't finished like Italy. You can't have separate rules for England and Italy a few days or weeks apart so we do one fixed date which is June 1st.

 

Maybe we could make it May 15th in future just to stop all this confusion but then you'll get people complaining it's too early in some cases.

 

Also last year Premier League finished on May 29th so June 1st so there wasn't so much confusion.

It doesn't make much sense to edit a temporary thing. His contract it's still the same. 

The Lower Leagues DB (I've got the one down to Level 14), for whatever reason, sets the original Doncaster City (UID: 2000266392) as extinct and replaces them with a second instance of Doncaster City (UID: 2000339433). I think that accounts for the players/staff who have been assigned to the original club not showing up. At least that would be my theory.

 

It's hard to tell (quickly) whether there are a lot of clubs where this has been done…but my very initial poking around suggests this isn't a very common approach for this DB. I filtered for semi-professional or amateur clubs, based in England, that were extinct with at least one database change and the total number was 33. That doesn't even necessarily mean the changes made were to set it as extinct…but it's an indicator, at least.

 

As an aside, I'm going to spend a bit of time to try and hustle my way through the lower leagues (in the Editor) and see if there are a few simple changes I can apply to update the player/staff representation wherever possible. Obviously it's a mammoth task - but if I come across such duplicates, I'll cut the people across to the ‘new’ club, alongside starting with getting key non-playing staff updated, so that more of the clubs have managers (at least) at the start of a new game.

 

Whether I can get the playing staff filled in to a reasonable degree is another matter - information becomes limited as you go down the ladder but, also, it's just a ton of work.

Edit: I've done a quick scan of the clubs that are extinct that I cited earlier in my post. Their extinction, is all cases, is spot on - including that of Doncaster City. I was curious, so I went looking - but Doncaster City effectively withdrew from the league system in 2023 and reformed after a year absence. Therefore, I can understand the reasoning behind creating a new instance of them.

 

Most of the other clubs that have been made extinct are either clubs that have dissolved, or clubs that have merged with others - and in all cases, the new club is represented in the Lower Leagues DB. From my checks, Doncaster City and Redcar Newmarket appear to be two that have been replaced by clubs with an identical name (and perhaps are, in fact, ‘the same club’).

Edit #2: I did a quick check, out of curiosity, to see how many mismatches there could be from the SortItOutSI.net database in to the Lower Leagues DB. There really are very few. The full list of extinct clubs I could find and their source of extinction is as below. The first club listed is the ‘extinct’ club. The second club listed is the club that replaces them, where applicable. Replacement clubs that do not exist in the 24.3 database (and therefore can't have people added to them as part of the SortItOutSI.net database update) are italicised.

All, I'm looking to see if someone could get myself added to the game. I work as a chief scout for Berwick Rangers as of November 2023 after stints at Dumbarton and Cowdenbeath as a First Team Scout and Cambridge United as an Academy Scout. Can anyone assist in getting me into the game. It's always been a dream of mine to have an actual profile.

24.3 Data Update is live and everyone can go and make changes now 🙂

 

 

This year i've tried to reimport any that were in the 24.0 update that SI missed. However there's far more than I thought they'd be, 5676 to be exact, so i'm concerned i'm giving people too much work asking them to go through and check these.

 

The only comparisons where done where contracted team id and loan team id, not any dates or anything like that.

 

What i've done is put them under a separate status called “SI Missed” you can find them through this link on the bottom left you'll also be able to filter by your own username if you wish. This means they can still be gone through and checked for those who want to, but they're not under the pending notification and hopefully that means people don't feel too pressured by them.

 

Some people have ALOT so if you check some and tell me “i'm pretty sure all mine are correct and SI have simply missed them” then i'll enable them all in bulk without asking you to enable them individually.

I'm sorry I can't see how that's possible. Can you provide more information like exactly which file you used (i.e. which date)?

 

Can you also test again to see if it's still happening?

 

Also did you definitely use “original mode”?
