The fact you're so high up the league is partly down to the fact everyone else is playing shit, which is actually making van Gal look better than you have been playing. Although he seems to have at least got back the play shit and still win mentality

But the mentality of champions is to win when you're playing bad. If we keep that up and sign a couple of defenders with a commanding midfielder, imagine how better we'll be.

Luke Shaw gives away the pen

Leighton Baines misses it

Kieran Gibbs wins

Then Clyne gets switched to a left back and Gibbs retires from international duty

It's amazing how much of an impact we still have on our rivals seeing as we're a "mid-table club" though.. I have a Leeds fan on my friends list on Steam with a picture of LVG Although he usually doesn't have much else to do so will give him that

Referee ruined the game, no question.. All momentum just went. Yeah we needed to sign a defender, but we should have won.

Ozil hasn't been the same since he moved to Arsenal, but for obvious reasons of playing out of position. Sanchez looking the better signing though.

Backed Moyes most of the season but this has finally done it for me.

You can go on about "giving him time" like we did with Fergie, but the game has changed. The media pressures the managers to make an instant impact, it's nothing like two decades ago. Moyes inherited a title winning squad, Fergie had to create one.

I'd be fine with giving Moyes time if we were at least challenging for top four and at least going forward, but the fact that we could potentially go six points behind Everton, you have to question his ability in having a squad of Mata, Rooney, Van Persie, etc and doing even worse than his old club..

I just don't think Moyes is arrogant enough or stands his ground. The fact is he's too nice and that can be seen from his interviews.

In my opinion, I think the Olympiakos game has to be his last chance. If he fails that, Fergie would have to return to steady the ship for the last games we have until we can find a suitable experienced manager.. Optimistic thinking though.

Stoke and Cardiff have announced a swap deal for Odemwingie and Kenwyne Jones.

Or a "swop" deal as the official Stoke City Twitter put it.

It can be spelt both ways

Got free £5 from Coral so stick that on tonight and my other fiver on tomorrow

Tonight's bet:

Man Utd -1
Lazio
OFI Crete
Dijon/Monaco Draw

£5 returns £110

Usually don't do draws but reckon it'll be tight.. would have gone for Doncaster otherwise but they've been messing me up lately.

Cristiano Ronaldo from Sporting to Manchester United is possibly the only £12 million 'bargain' I've ever heard of. Just look up a list of great Premier League bargains over the years and you probably won't find any, if none, with transfer fees in the £10 million+ region... It could potentially prove to be a very good signing, yes - just wouldn't use the word bargain is all.

Going to go:

Zulte-Waregem
Lazio
Bournemouth
Elche
Man Utd
Charlton
Leicester

Returns £197

Anyone think I should do a six fold of this instead? Returns £118 if one team messes up. Unsure what to do, risk it and be greedy for extra £80 or at least "play it safe" in case one team messes it up as usual..

Doing the 90 bet challenge. If you bet £10 and throw your return on the next bet on something low like over 0.5 games in any chosen game, do this 90 successful times in a row and you get £50k.

I started with £5 though after doubting my ability Put £5 on over 0.5 goals in the Bayern game and got £6.12 back. So basically, need to pick a game tonight to throw the £6.12 on and hopefully get £7-£7.20 back.

"Fernando Llorente has agreed to join Juventus at the end of the season for €5 mill pr season, according to Basque newspaper El Correo."

Juventus are looking good already, Llorente will just add what they need. They already got Vidal on a great deal too.

Thoughts? If you sign up, you get odds of 3/1 on Chelsea win v Liverpool. The catch is you can only bet £20 maximum.

I'm tempted to throw a tenner on. Still got my 75p to £98 accumulator and £1 to £10.50 going. Won £6.67 from £1 today, it's something.

Only problem is, Liverpool have done the double over Chelsea 3 out of the 4 past seasons. However, Chelsea seem strong as Terry, Luiz and Mata return, Liverpool seem weaker but are unbeaten in 5 league games so far..

Mine are:

Arsenal
Man Utd
Federer (Tennis)
Ferrer (Tennis)
Chelsea
Benfica
Porto
Barcelona
Atletico Madrid

^ 50p returns about £10.50

Chelsea
Barcelona
Atletico Madrid
Valencia
Real Madrid

^ £1 returns about £10

Stoke
Yeovil
Cheltenham

^ £75p returns £6

Bayern in CL (won)
Juventus in CL (won)
Everton
Levante
Real Madrid
Atletico Madrid
Barcelona
Rennes
PSG
Marseille
Juventus
Inter
Borussia Dortmund

^ 75p returns £98

Not been lucky at all since my last win in May which was a £10 free bet with Skybet which got me £288 on 11 fold.

Totesport have a £10 free bet if you stake £5 so might use that account to play my "slow profit" game. Use £5 on a few £1 bets that hopefully return £6-10 each and then either use the £10 on a high fold accumulator or use it on a treble with teams confident of winning resulting in a possibly £20-25 back.

Going to deposit a fiver and start from there. What do you think, £1 on Djokovic beating Berdych, Murray beating Tsonga, Federer beating Del Potro and Ferrer beating Tipsarevic, returns £2.35?

Some sort of profit I guess, bit unsure though. I do follow tennis quite a bit..

Use these guys, I've been making a fair bit from it the past couple of days.

Thanks, I'll give it a try.

Little profit is profit I'd rather be gaining something like 80p than losing a pound. Not that it's anything to lose but profiting is always better!

I put 75p on Bayern and Juventus win in Champions League, along with Everton, Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Barcelona, Rennes, PSG, Marseille, Juventus, Inter and Dortmund this weekend. Returns about £98 with two won so far...

I'll top up with a fiver next week and play the safe game. Bet on two or three "certain win" games and gain £1-2 profit. Then eventually if it works, do the exact same plan but with £5's and gain a further profit.

Is that pretty much what most of you do?

Very poor reffing and I certainly agree technology should be used. However, I'll take the win as potentially we could, if not should, be 7 points behind. I just hate how people say "oh, United are corrupt, they're paying the refs, etc", how would you even know this? Other referee's have made huge calamitous decisions before for other teams. There have been decisions made against us too in the past.

We didn't deserve to win as we just disappeared after 35 minutes, but you're going to take 3 points over your rivals regardless of poor decisions. Plus, it creates the banter anyway.

I admit I should have waited for a mod, i.e TomDixon77 to come along and deal with this situation before me, or at least contact one about a thread being in the wrong section to prevent anything aggravating. However, there are quite a few players who love to find/scout these gems themselves because it gives a sense of achievement and we do have a sub-forum for it, so I simply stated it was in the wrong section, that was all.

If you want to call me those words, there's a P/M feature at the top you can message me on.

Anyone else having an issue with penalties? Pretty much every penalty is being missed in my game. Hopefully this will be fixed with the full release.

I've had 3/4 of mine go in. Kinda the same as FM12 for me.

Is there anyway to look at a match result without it generating a report?

I click random games sometimes to see the stats, but I don't want it to generate a whole report when I'm not going to watch the highlights.

I'd like to know this too.

Also, my Hoffenheim game is going well so far:

http://i47.tinypic.com/2crt7wz.png

Bought Ze Castro for £1m (hasn't really impressed) and bought Julian de Guzman for £150k.

Some results involved beating Dortmund 5-3 at home, Schalke 2-1 away and HSV 7-1 away.

I predicted wins for all Premier League games today, Arsenal was my last prediction. I will be so annoyed if they win But after my last 3-4 bets losing, couldn't be bothered wasting another fiver on bad luck.

I really can't be arsed. I have played about 5,000 hours of FM in the last three years and I'm at the stage now where it's just going to bore me,

Play as Leeds, win Champions League, blah
Start unemployed, commit hours, blah

The only thing that might hold me in is the online play. Aside from that I've got nothing left to give for this game.

Surely you got this feeling at the end of FM12 before you considered FM13? Unless it was several months not playing, I understand.

Also, PSG got boring. Anyone suggest an interesting game?
