@Footygamer I understand that the Football Manager Live Update currently generates once per day, typically around 4AM UK time.

With summer transfers happening rapidly and around the clock, I was wondering if you'd consider increasing the frequency of the update, perhaps to twice a day (12 hours), or even every six hours. This would be especially beneficial for those of us who’ve subscribed to the Classic FM version.

Being able to download more frequent updates would be a great incentive for others to upgrade to the paid version as well. Right now, the process of waiting for changes to be approved then followed by the scheduled daily generation, can sometimes result in delays of over 24 hours if a submission misses the cutoff because it wasn't approved in time.

Offering multiple update generations per day could really enhance the experience during the busiest transfer period of the year.

I'm not sure what you mean? I can't tell if you're asking for a start date file that starts the game on July 1st 2024 or for all the transfers/end of contract to happen instantly rather than in 1 years time, which should be the case after June 1st.

I think a start date of July 1st would work, yes.

How can I achieve that start date though?

Whenever you make a submission you can see this message at the top.

Transfers agreed in May to a European team should be set as a future transfer on July 1st.
Transfers agreed in June to a European team can be done as an instant transfer but set the start date as July 1st.
Released players should be set to Will Leave At End Of Contract in May and released in June.
Even though transfers don't technically go through until July 1st, we think most people downloading in June want the latest transfers.

The problem is in game the transfers/released players all go through July 1st 2024 which is a full year in game with the same squads, but promotions/relegations have already taken effect.

So is it possible to get a July 1st 2024 start date so that new saves have all transfers start immediately to line up with the promotions/relegations?

Just thought I would point out that on the current Susie db, the teams promoted (and relegated) have media expectations that mean it thinks Sheffield United are predicted to finish 4th in the Premier League (because this was their prediction in the Championship).

To fix this, you can just remove the media expectations altogether and the game will generate a realistic media expectation. This will need to be done to all promoted or relegated teams in the Promotions db, so I'm not sure who's in charge of that, but would it be possible if you could include this?

I'm downloading the normal update but everyone seems to have future transfers for a years time, which is no good to me. I would like to start the game with the current season acting as if it was the next season (players released, etc)

I've already done promotions/relegations myself.

An example of this is Troy Deeney, he has been released by Birmingham, but on the update he's due to leave in 2023.

I've not been using this site for a while, but now I'm struggling to find how to disable a change?

Paul Heckingbottom was made caretaker manager in March, and will return to his usual u23 managers role, so the change needs disabling in the update. How do I do this as it won't let me re-submit a change as it matches his base game data.

Can someone explain to me how Steve Bruce gets so many jobs in football as his performance have steadily declined over the years yet he still somehow manages to get some very good jobs (though usually under performs).

How the fuck is he even anywhere near the Newcastle job, they're a massive club and can surely attract some very good managers. For me they have to be one of the favourites to go down now and well worth putting a fiver on them to do so.

Can I add a few names to suggest that require a boost after a brilliant season?

Club: Sheffield United, finished 2nd in the league, promoted to the Premier League.

Jack O'Connell - SUFC best defensive record in Championship, lowest goals conceded
John Fleck - Lots of assists in the league one of the highest in the division
Dean Henderson - Most clean sheets in Championship 21 out of 46
Billy Sharp - 23 goals (3rd highest in Championship)
David McGoldrick - Free transfer, but scored 15 goals, won SUFC player of the season)
Enda Stevens - Grew stronger and stronger, also part of the best defensive record in the league
Ollie Norwood - Most assists in the league.

All deserve boosts imo. Also from other clubs;

Neil Maupay, who finished with 22 goals, Teemu Pukki with 26 goals, and Tammy Abraham with 24 goals could all do with a boost too.

Are we reflecting changes for the upcoming season? Because I submitted a whole load of free transfers (players leaving at the end of their contract) and they've been rejected.

As the season is over, I would have thought these would have been accepted.
