Dortmund and Juventus are unbeaten too.

So they are... It was something about us having the best record in European competitions so it must be our run of games unbeaten:

Lazio P-9 W-5 D-4 L-0 (Including qualifiers P-11 W-7 D-4 L-0)
Juve: P-8 W-5 D-3 L-0
Dortmund: P-8 W5 D-3 L-0

Lazio still the only unbeaten side left in the Champions League or Europa League. I though BMG were bad in the last game, but Stuttgart are really dreadful. No wonder their down in 12th, we should have knocked in 3 or 4 and that was with half our first 11 missing.

Italian sides seem to have rediscovered their European might.

This year's been a little better than least season but they have a long way to go.

The likes of Juve, Lazio and Inter (so far) haven't really played beneath themselves in Europe this year and the clubs seem to be taking the Europa League a bit more seriously. Though Napoli's collapse against Plzen was well timed seeing as their in second at the moment...

I would have included Milan in the list above but they were pretty dreadful in the group stage. Saying that, even if they go out beating Barca by two clear goals is a very good achievement for what has to be one of the worst Milan sides of the last 25 years.

Your not biased though I've still no idea how you can somehow decide he's got some vendetta against German clubs based on a couple of incidents from his international career. It's such a random opinion.

I think that says more about your odd opinions than Platini having anything against German club sides.

Not happy about the Milan game, that wasn't a red and it ruined what should have been a great contest.

Still, these stories cheered me up a bit. First, it seems Cagliari president Massimo Cellino is a talented guitar player and he's been passing the time in prison by taking requests from his fellow inmates. Then we had Catania president Antonino Pulvirenti who was fined €20k for calling Juve president Andrea Agnelli a 'hysterical spinster'. Finally we have poor Davide Ballardini who was sent off just for telling one of his players to put the ball out so his injured teammate could recieve treatment.

Napoli fans recreate Vesuvius using flares before the Juve game last night:

Seems Cassano's fallen out with another manager, he's been dropped from Inter's squad for the Catanta game after an argument with Stramaccioni, though he insists it wasn't that serious and the player will be available for the Spurs game.

He probably could but Ousmane Dabo's face says Little Joey is no mug.

Given Zlatan's a Taekwondo black belt I'd say could comfortably tear Barton a new one, besides, Dabo's a pussy.

So much for that. Quite funny how it was downgraded from a 'deal till the end of the season' to a 15 day trial and now he's even failed his physical.

Schelotto's a good signing as well but I don't think much of their idea that he can play as a right wingback. Frankly I'd have brought Longo back from Spain rather than bringing in Carew.

Been a while since I've been annoyed that Hibs failed to win away to Dundee United, with the league so congested between 2nd and 11th we really could have done with the three points.

2-0 win over a Pescara side missing 3 or 4 of their better players. Not much more to say, 3 points are 3 points.

Artical from the Burton Mail. - Couple to trek across dales after finding wonder drug

That headline makes it sound like you two had some drug crazed "Fear and Loathing in Yorkshire" experience...

Good to see you guys are getting the word out though, what are you up to know you've cleared £500?

Isn't your mate your supervisor or is it still that one that doesn't like you? Either way, if he couldn't be bothered changing them was there anything to stop you doing it? It's not fair but at least the customers wouldn't be bothering you.

I've just been reading the Swiss Ramble guy's posts on your figures up till 30/11/12, hopefully we'll see a new piece on his blog soon.

I can't say I pay close attention to your club but it was quite interesting to see that you're only posting profits due to player sales and without them and the little profit from the Highbury properties you'd have posted a £27m loss. Not to mention the 'profit excluding player sales' figure is getting worse and worse year on year.

Oh aye, forgot to open the Cash Reserves image, with 123m stockpiled that theoretical £27m loss doesn't really matter...

I don't understand Zamparini. At least when Roman does it, it's because he's in search of this mythical perfect attacking football.

Does Zamparini even know what he wants?

No, I don't think he does. As I said, in the summer he brought in a manager that had done very well with Siena the previous season and built a sold structure above him and a few weeks later decided things weren't working. It's also pointless trying to compare chairmen in Italy and England. There are quite a few Serie A chairmen I wouldn't trust to run a market stall...

Where's the self-respect, though? Find it almost just as funny that they (Gasperini, Guidolin etc.) return to the club that sacked them just a few days before. Zamparini probably has his ways of making them feel welcome again. The Sicilian way, maybe.

Managers can only manage one side per season in Italy, so the ex-Palermo managers are essentially on gardening leave till the summer, the other side of the coin is that by this stage of the season there aren't many available managers you'd want within 100 miles of your club so for both sides going back to what you know is better than the alternative.

Saying all that, if Palermo go down it's 100% Zamp's fault. I was stupid enough to believe his rubbish in the summer about their longterm plans, which looked good on paper, but all the sackings this season have been way too far, even for him. Same goes for Genoa, both looked really promising 2/3 years ago and their awful chairmen have just ruined them.

Eventually got around to buying Issue Zero of the Blizzard. Can't believe how substantial it is. Excellent so far as well.

Their well worth the money, I get them every time they come out and I think their in some shops as well.

I'm sure the next one's out early/mid March.

So it's Spurs v Inter in the next round, who do Newcastle have? As for us, we get another crack at the German co-efficient with Stuttgart coming next.

Yep, was just about to post that...

I have to say, I'm really not impressed with this Borussia Monchengladbach side, Lazio were the better team in Germany and even in the middle of a wretched run of form in Serie A we're easily winning 2-0 tonight.

Apparently some Spurs fans have been attacked in a bar in Lyon. Like the incident in Rome last year it looks like it was a local neo nazi/right wing group that did it. I'd say it's more likely to be this group wanting to make a name for themselves than a "clash between football fans" as the Rome incident was reported as. Football just gives these groups an oppertunity to chant their nonsense at the stadium and fight with police, the club itself is really secondary to the needs of their group.

Not picked. They tried their best to flog him to a Brazilian club in the winter window and despite Allegri saying he has a role to play he's hardly featured since the end of the window, usually getting the odd 10 or 15 mins from the bench.

Both Milan scorers tonight previously played for Portsmouth.

Muntari's only playing because of the injuries to De Jong, Flamini and Nocerino and KPB has been dreadful all season. I wonder what the odds on each of the scoring tonight was?

How about two?

Before the game I felt it could one two ways, Milan are missing over half a dozen players and would either defend for their lives and maybe snatch a 1-0 win or play like they normally do in Serie A and get pumped 3 or 4-0.

I remember we had Sim City 2000 on all the PC's in my Primary school and I'm pretty sure the very first one with the top down view only came with our first PC. Anyway, 3000 was the last one in the series I played and I'm pretty tempted to get this one.

Odd to see Morton at the top of the table, their one of those sides that in recent years just did enough to survive and not much else. Did they strengthen that much in the summer?
