Inter look like their going to get a hiding from Fiorentina, 2-0 down already, really missing Milito and their CB's have gone AWOL. Now I've said that they'll do doubt get their act together...

Edit: Never mind, 4-0 now

When Arsenal fans blame the board, do they blame them for not letting Wenger spend more money or for not sacking him?

Well that's the issue isn't it, Wenger's Economics brain takes over and he doesn't like buying players when he's not getting value for money. I could be wrong but wasn't it David Dein that used to always convince him to overspend on a quality player when the chance came along?

Cagliari president Massimo Cellino has been arrested after he apparently pressured the local authority to divert funds from other projects towards the construction of their new Is Arenas ground. He's also accused of building a permanent structure despite only having permits for a temporary one.

Because of this the stadium could be demolished, especially as it's meant to be disturbing the wildlife in a nearby wildlife preserve.

Tad annoyed with the amount of people say the Italians are "experts" and know "all the little tricks"

It's cheating, basically.

Celtic should have had 2 penalties tonight.

Their not breaking any rules so I wouldn't say it's cheating, but you're never going to get a fair play award acting like that at corners!

As I said above, Lichtsteiner got a bit carried away but the Celtic players gave as good as they got. After the first Lichy/Hooper scuffle the ref should have set the limit on what he'd allow before a corner, he never did and they went right back to it. Only a bit later did he start flashing cards despite letting them get away with the same stuff previously.

Aye that was the gameplan, Vidal admitted as much, let Celtic have the ball and tire themselves out then pick them off when gaps started to open. Had Celtic scored first I daresay we'd have seen a very different Juve performance.

Italians are so dirty

Nah, they just know all the little tricks. It's not a foul till the ball is in play so if you watch the corners again they'll usually stop their grabbing as soon as the ball come in.

Edit: Lichtsteiner got a little carried away in the first half, but Hooper, Brown etc gave as good as they got.

In Italy Francesco Totti is 5000/1 to be the next pope.

Shame about Fiorentina, considering it's a derby in those parts they were rather sh*te against Juve, I hope this isn't another Montella side fading out as other teams figure out how to beat them. Same for Milan today, dreadful against a side with a fraction of their budget, shame a penalty (and therefore a Balotelli goal) saved them.

Inter weren't a lot better tonight, though Cassano had a great game and arguably made the difference. Credit to Zanetti who (as he does week in week out) outran almost every player on the pitch. The occasional good games from Giggs and Scholes really pale in comparison with this guy doing it week in, week out.

As for Lazio, we had a good first half against Napoli and could have killed the game with a second goal, but we didn't and Napoli came back in the second half and almost deserved to draw level - they did anyway in the end. After coming on Insigne was the difference, that Hobbit is a different player with the ball at his feet.

You know when they say match fixing, it's boring shit like betting on when the first corner will be right? Shit like this.

Aye, that's the same stuff Claus Lundekvam was on about, but as it's just the one game in England I think it'll be a properly fixed result rather than stuff like that.

Surprisingly, I think there's only one game in Italy they've picked up on but Germany's the worst with around 70.

Ahh the N64 with those fucked up controllers.

Aye, they took a bit of getting used to and the PS1 ones were a lot more sensible. If I'm honest though, despite the Playstation's good points it didn't get any better than a 4 person Goldeneye deathmatch back in the day.

I remember the good old days of playing the playstation..

Fuck I'm old these days!!

Those were the days, Playstation v N64 and before that SNES vs Mega Drive

Aren't Microsoft revealing their new console in March? Can't help but feel Sony are trying to beat them to the punch with a PS4 debut and maybe even GTAV at the same time.

The fax from Brazil didn't arrive. Lotito's line is there was a mix up between Santos and the investment group that own around 30% of his rights. Then he decided negotiations had started on the 9th of January and we were always planning to bring him in during the summer. Outwith the club the general idea is we'd agreed a price for Santos' share but there was a disagreement with the investment group, they wanted 35% of any fee we received when we sold him but Lotito wasn't willing to go above 30%.

Aye, he had a very good game but overall Milan looked a lot better than the other times I've seen them this season, well, the attack and midfield at least. For all the inevitable talk about Balotelli I thought Niang had a great game, frightening to think he's just turned 18.

The penalty decision was a joke though, in a season full of poor calls it's right up there with the worst.

Edit: It's the usual story with Lazio, we start the season well, have a poor winter mercato where we fail to strengthen then start to struggle when the injuries to key players start to bite.

What's happening with Klopp?

Shame about Zeman, I saw Roma against Fiorentina and AC Milan and it looked like it was beginning to work.

EDIT - ZEMAN OUT!

Nothing, I think their just preparing for the worst seeing as Real Madrid will probably be after a new manager in the summer and Petko's someone their apparently keeping an eye on.

Zeman sacked and Dortmund interested in Petkovic, in the summer I doubt anybody would have guessed that would happen.

Stekelenburg off to Liverpool apparently.

No he's not, the transfer window's closed in Italy and Roma weren't able to find a replacement. It seems they had to get him from the airport after things broke down between them and Viviano. The local media had him boarding a plane to London anyway as Fulham have been linked with him for a few weeks now.

Mauro Zarate's close to an €8m move to Dynamo Kiev, with that money we're looking to bring in Bruno_Pereirinha, Diego Laxalt and maybe Felipe Anderson from Santos or even Granit Xhaka.

Emanuelson will leave Milan on a six months loan deal to join Fulham

No option to buy though. He's really struggled to pin down a place at Milan, a victim of his versitility I suppose, so hopefully he'll get a decent run of games at Fulham.

Good, all that nonsense about a Juve bid was getting annoying.

On the transfer front, we've actually done a good job of clearing out our rubbish/reserves:

Matuzalem - Genoa (loan)
Rocchi - Inter
Scaloni - Atalanta
Sculli - Pescara
Zauri - Spezia (not done yet)
Alfaro - Al Wasl (not done yet)
Kozak - Pescara (loan, maybe...)

Signing someone is proving a little harder, Kuzamanovic was being linked with a move but it seems he's off to Valencia. Other than that it's been rumours with little to them.

Edit: I forgot that we'd bid for/signed Diago Laxalt who's coming off a great U20's World Cup with Uruguay, not sure what sort of impact he'll have though.

Yeah that was the rumour yesterday. The talk today is that it's just a cash deal staggered over a number of years. Wouldn't mind getting KPB, though, he's certainly different to what we have now.

Milan want to keep KPB (for some reason, he's been awful this season) so it looks a straight €23m bid, albeit staggered over 6 years.

Very expensive if you want to stay in the historic city itself and as someone else said earlier in the thread it's always clogged with tourists in the months you'd like to be there.
