#453900 Travelling around the world (Journeyman save)
HawkAussie
So pre-season has started in Finland with our team playing in six friendlies throughout the four months as we worked on the two tactics. The first one being a 4-3-3 Wide which will properly be our main formation in the league matches. The other formation is going to be a 4-4-2 for matches which might be a little more difficult and also shaking it up if needed. Also during the pre-season, we have the first round completed in the Suomen Cup with the team going 2-2-0 in the four matches that we played to finish top of the group with eight points. This means that we qualified to the second round where we will meet Santa Claus which is a winnable game.
The transfer market has to be a bit busy with six coming into the squad while seven will be leaving for other clubs with two of them heading over to Sudet while the rest of the moves are to lower-tier squads which hopefully won't be a problem. On the opposite side we brought in six players on a free transfer which is properly where I will be getting most of my transfers for the first couple of windows. The main goal is to hopefully try and bring in some youngsters who got released into our team and be good players (isn't that everyone that plays it) and with these top 3 players that I think might do well us some good things (yes I know they are all defenders)

I do hope it will be easy enough to qualify.

So the qualifying draw for the 2020 AFC U-23 Championship has been revealed and all I can say is if we don't win this group, I will resign from the post as Hong Kong U-23 manager with the draw that I got as I have been given a draw that features Laos, East Timor and North Korea which is clearly a winning group as we avoided South Korea and China which for me would properly be the strongest two teams in the East Asia region. Let's just hope that I don't screw it up.

Yeah, that was a good start in my eyes as at least I can relax and actually go into a season without needing to worry. Also Brexit has been revealed just in case I want to manage in the United Kingdom and actually is a good Brexit I think.

So we have safely navigated the first season with two wins to end our season with some confidence leading into the first full season as manager of HIFK with two good wins against Klubi-04 and FC Haka. We were unlucky to lose to AC Oulu in the opening game but nothing you can do there.
So our Finnish team finished in fifth place for the season which for a team that should have been promoted isn't good but at least there is now a real target to go for and that is to go for promotion and into the top flight of Finnish football.
Player stats for the 2018 season with Matias Hanninen being our best player with a 7.13 rating.

So I once again I got the role as manager of the Hong Kong U23's for the international side of the game as I managed them in the 2018 Asian Games which was held in Indonesia. The goal for the tournament was simple enough and that was to get past the second round which they have done in the previous two editions of the tournament. But well how do I say this lightly we did more than that.
As you can see here we actually killed it in the Asian Games to cause the biggest upset in possibly the history of the Asian Games as we only conceded four goals for the entire tournament and score 22 goals in return which is mental to think about especially when you destroy the UAE 7-1 in the final of a major tournament.
The bracket of the set tournament where I think our toughest opponent properly was China as we had to go down to the wire there but we did hold them off and took it out.
A couple of records from that set game which is good but personally I don't think they are the actual records for the Asian Games but I will take them none the less from the competition. So now for me I will try and target qualifying for the AFC U-23 Championship which Hong Kong has never qualified for.

So the first club on version two of this save is back in Finland with HIFK being the team that I will be managing. This is a club that was predicted at the beginning of the season to go straight back up to the first division but because of their form not being good they sack their manager because of the form that they have had throughout the last few weeks.
This does mean as I will be managing the team through this system as they currently lie in 5th place and are out of the running for a play-off spot which isn't the feeling that you want from a team that got relegated this season (especially when in real life, they won the league by two points).
The top two players as rated by the club and other the fact that they are a bit on the older side as I wanted them too but they are homegrown which shouldn't be a problem in terms of the rules for this league. It will be interesting to see what might happen with this team going into the future with us with three home games to end of the season and with no threat to relegation, we can have a sign of relief.

In terms of the sacking part, that is mainly just a guideline for myself. As for the local part, isn't that part of the challenge (yeah it might frustrate me but its not going to stop me from going all out).

- Before moving to another country, I have to complete at least one season in that country that I am in as a minimum.
- If I win the league and cup in that country, I have to move no matter what.
- Must only buy local players (can have a player that is currently playing in the league that isn't local).
- Don't get sacked.
I have done a random order for which countries to manage in first and the results are:Hong Kong
Finland
Romania
Spain
Slovakia

June 19, 2017
As I continue to work out my strategy for the new season, I saw a message on my phone stating that I had two new messages. Now at first, I thought that it was a bit weird to see these new messages coming up when I wasn’t here and instead of working on my team.
The first message was from my friend who said that he had moved to Micronesia which was weird as that meant both of us were now in Oceania. As I continued to read the message, I noticed that he became the first of this friendship to get a national job with him managing the U-23s over there. This was ok for me as if he wanted to more manager time then that is fine.
The second message was from a random number and thinking that being nothing, I quickly deleted the post thinking that it was possibly spam. Looking through the football news to see if anything had popped up. This was because I knew that the FIFA Confederations Cup was starting in Russia and predictions was that Germany were the favorites to win the title.
Well, they were until the debacle happen when some of the dual-citizens of the country started to leave because they weren’t being picked in their senior squad and moving to other countries. The main ones benefiting being Turkey as players in those leagues have an easy time in getting Turkish nationality and could be a big force with those new faces in the side. I even heard that Afghanistan and Sierra Leone of all places got a new man because of this little debacle. It would be interesting to see what will go on with Germany now.

The season review and it was the domination of Marshall Tuitamai who completely dominated the season as he became our best player for the 2016 season and he will be continuing to go on forward with the rest of the team.
All of the stats from the players this season.
This season we would end up winning the Cup over Ilaoa & To'omata 5-2 in the final and despite the match having to go to extra time, we held on and took the cup from them, but did we win the league from the impossible position.
The answer was no as we couldn't stop Ilaoa & To'omata from winning the league by a convincing margin and would almost have to be favourites going into next season. On my side though, I will have to stay in American Samoa while my friend will be leaving Bhutan after his team won the league.
The results that we gave in the last month and a bit of competition.

So as my pictures for the first half had disappeared I had to keep playing before I would lose these ones as well. After knocking over the easy teams in PanSa and Royal Puma we were in the hunt with eight points after the opening four games. I thought that this could be heading to a good result and after a little slip-up Tafuna Jets away from home, I thought that we had a really good chance and that was further proven with wins over Black Roses and Valala Tongan. But the final two games was a disaster with us getting smashed 5-0 against the leaders with every single one being in the first half before falling short against Green Bay.
The hell which was the match against the current leaders.
Which means as we head into the split, we lie in fifth place nine points behind the leaders and it looks like I will be staying for another season in this league while my friend is going to move from Bhutan as he won his league which just sucks.

Two names jumped out of me and it was Rocha and Bartley who both could guide us to the trophy with the main bit of Rocha speed and the work rate of Bartley, we could easily get a trophy to kick-start the journey that is laid in front of us.
Of course, nothing is complete without the fixture list and with a short nine round season plus the cup which I didn't even know existed until I looked at a quick search and hopefully we can guide the team to both titles so I can leave here in a flash.

Here is our manager on here in Dean van Bakel and he is a person who likes try and play defensive instead of his other friend who prefers to go on the attack. With the person being the younger of the two, he hopes that things can go right for longer compared to his older friend. If you want to see the other side of the story, I will be posting it on my blogspot page on both counts. So hopefully this will be a long one.

Chapter 1: The start
“Are you sure this is the best way of doing our journey,” said a voice that wasn’t known
“Look Dean, I know this may sound stupid but it might be the only way of doing it,” another voice said.
“I know that Evan, but what is the problem of having a little bit of fun along the way. We can tell our children about the adventures of the brothers.”
“Yeah, the chances of that happening is probably none as you know how many leagues there are, there is no way that we can win of those in our lifetime?”
“How about this, we do our separate journeys and put into a diary format and after that hand it over to our children and keep it going from there.”
“Fine then, so it will be a deal then.”
“A deal indeed.”
Hello and welcome to the “Friends In arms” on FM17 where I will try and win all of the leagues with the two friends of Dean Vak Bakel and Evan Ritsmal as they travel the world and discover new lands that they didn’t expect. As you read by the dialogue, I have separated the two into different forums so that one half of the story will be done on here while the other one would probably be somewhere different. The challenge is simple and that is to win every single top division and cup that is around the world using classens mega pack.
So sit back and enjoy the career as I know I will challenge myself to completing all of the leagues that is on the FM17 database.

You know it's been a big transfer window when the outs can't even fit the place
Entering my first Super Cup and he loses to rivals 5-4 over the two legs which sort of made me annoyed but then again thinking about that as it wasn't important. That and the point that we lost to them in a friendly (ahhh). That and the fact we got smashed in the testmonial to PSV 5-0 says a lot about this team against European opposition. But we are predicted to finish in third overall which would be a good result for our team if we can do that.
