There seems to be an issue with this same “retired person” thing in the current FM24 data update. The file with problem is “sortitoutsi.net FM24 Data Update - Contracts”

 

All players in the current data update that had their “person type” changed to “retired” disappeared from the game. This means that, if they were somewhere in the game history, their name is now a blank space. This happens, for instance, with R9 Ronaldo, Toni Kroos, etc. R9's name is a blank space in the world's best player award. And both, R9 and Kroos, are blank space in the Real Madrid's icons/favoured personnel list. This happens not only with them, but with all retired persons that were somewhere in the history of the game…award winners, club icons/legends, etc.

 

Not sure it this is the correct topic/forum for this. Anyway, i hope it helps.
