Thank you so much for the quick help! Do you mean checking the game data for errors? What exactly will be lost in the process? Will I have to re-add all my mods? Probably the ones that are directly in the installation directory, right? The editor data will remain intact?

does anyone know how I can get the original files back so I can reinstall the skin? Thanks in advance and especially thanks for the fantastic work!
