Have you followed the instructions for the preferences within FM18

This has been explained multiple times in this thread, the black video ads are down to a bug in FM18...

There is a FAQ on page 1 of this thread, it shows you how your folders should look, copy this

Check your xml folder, it looks as if the game can’t read your xml file

@Bandes Have you got them working now?

Are any backgrounds showing as you have the DS8 pack as well, you should really only use one.

That’s because the game loads them from your my documents and not a C drive, adboards are much more complex

That looks like the issue then, Football Manager must be unable to load files from your D drive

No it needs to be in ‘program files (x86)’ not ‘games’

What is your folder location for the video ads, the reason your adboards are showing up as they are is because the game can’t find them which means they are in the wrong location

Check your FM preferences match the required setting and reload your skin

I did everything according to the instructions. Did not work. Then you made screenshots, on which are two folders and a separate fm.xml. In other words, it's unclear how the instruction in the installation differs from the one that you did with screenshots.

I managed to do it only when video boards are displayed on all perimeters the same. Then there are others, but they are also the same.

xml file: my documents/sports interactive/football manager 18/ads

Graphics: my documents/sports interactive/football manager 18/graphics/pictures/ads

I think this is due to a bug within FM18

The folder names have to be English as they need to match the locations within the xml file
