Went to Leeds today was a quality performance from us especially 1st half !! Rhodes scoring again him and Cairney were quality I really hope we can sign Cairney and keep hold of Rhodes as the song goes we will cause a riot if not ha ha and Leeds were a poor side a rare error from Tommy Spurr got their goal we really need to cut out these individual mistakes but going forward we were very good Gestede heading in his 1st for us ! Taylor in midfield also looks a better Rhodes and fair play to Bowyer going with 3 strikers and playing Marshall at right back !!

Had a feeling you'd have gone today! I'd have probably gone if it wasn't New Year's Day haha.

Really good result yeah, when they got the second just a few mins into the second half I thought they'd go on to equalise, we obviously did well to hold on! Credit to Bowyer yeah, hopefully from now on he'll use this approach in games that need it - like Sheff Weds at home on Boxing Day, if we'd have played with today's formation I'm sure we'd have won. And we'd have been in the play offs then, only 2 points off now! Need to beat Doncaster at home next, then we'll be looking good!!

Another good result for Spurs under Sherwood today, he's made a good start. Good to see and also good to see Webb didn't fall for some of the United players' antics - seems like every game they play there's an embarrassing dive, Welbeck this time.

Worrying results for Sunderland and West Ham. I've made it clear how highly I rate Big Sam but I won't deny they're deep in the sh*t. Still think they'll be okay though in the end.

Team: Blackburn
League Position: Championship

Star Man: Jordan Rhodes
Most Improved: Ben Marshall
Best Youngster: Adam Henley
Most Disappointing: Leon Best

Best Game: Blackburn 4-1 Bolton Bolton were awful but we were very good.
Best Goal: Jason Lowe V Middlesbrough
Worst Game: Doncaster 2-0 Blackburn awful.

How's the manager doing? Not too bad could be better could be worse least he has steadied things a bit.
What player do you want in January? Tom Cairney
Where will you finish? 11th

Overall Grade: C

Bang on, agree with all of that. Apart from maybe putting 12th instead of Championship next to 'league position'

Being 12th out of 24, having won 7 drawn 8 and lost 7 with a goal difference of +1 is about as mid table as you can get - and that's where we're gonna end up.

Was reading some articles ahead of todays game and had this discussion with my mate.

Suarez or Torres (in his prime, at Liverpool) ?

Suarez

Pretty poor game today as drew 0-0 at home to Sheffield Wednesday. 1st half was really more Sheffield Wednesday Rhodes had a couple of left foot chances though second half we were better Gestede and Cairney both missed great chances if we want to get play offs we have to be winning these games but really the draw was fair.

Yeah I thought we were really poor today. I like Bowyer, he's a godsend after the last 3 permanent managers we've had (especially Kean), but I found his tactics a bit odd today - Williamson for Gestede was strange. We don't need two defensive midfielders at home to a poor Sheffield Wednesday team (no offence Nicelad, although we just as bad today), and that sub resulted in our best CM, Cairney, being pushed out wide where he isn't anywhere near as effective. Should have just been Rochina for Gestede.

If we beat Birmingham at home on Sunday then we're still in a good run of form, but you're right, we have to be winning games like this if we want to be near the play-offs.

Went down to Yeovil today ! Was a good atmosphere alot of Rovers fans !! Rhodes scored a great goal ! 1st half we should have had a couple of goals but 2nd half was alot more even with them hitting the post and bar Rhodes settled it though Rochina also tried a Rabona from the edge of the area when he came on which the keeper tipped over !

Credit to you going down there, absolute trek! Our away followings this season have been excellent actually.

Good result too, can always rely on Rhodes. So we've won our last two and the game before that was a draw at QPR, our next games are Sheff Weds + Birmingham at home - 6 more points please! We'd be flying then.

Wanker. Sick of these people who know the square root of fuck all about football ruining clubs - which I've had first hand experience of myself over the last 3 years. You can just tell with Tan though, looking at him, the kit colour change was mental too.

Same with Hull 'Tigers', pathetic.

What'll happen then? Start from the hour mark with Wigan leading 1-0? I know it works like that abroad but can't remember it happening here.

As for Coyle and McLeish, Sheff Weds would be better taking a chance on someone who's doing well a league or two below rather than appointing someone who's just gonna be a failure.

I didn't realise just how poor West Brom's 2013 record is (31 points from 34 games, relegation form) and only 3 wins this season but they did come 8th last season, which is as high as a team like West Brom can hope to finish in all honesty, and they could have had a few more points this season (Chelsea away springs to mind).

I'd have left him a bit longer yet.

I haven't been able to properly watch any Everton games myself, only highlights, but I know about the rave reviews Ross Barkley is getting - how do you guys think he'd be doing if Moyes was still in charge?

As do Milan, but they're both on the back foot in that regard, if we're honest.

Milan will be fine. And if they can't manage a draw at home to Ajax, they don't deserve to qualify.

Not surprised about Juventus, streets behind the top teams in Europe. The pitch is no excuse either - same for both teams and when you've only got 3 points from your first 4 group games you've only got yourselves to blame.

DJ Campbell haha, deary me. We haven't been in the news for a positive reason since about 2010. The main positive is that we'll be able to cancel his contract if it's true.

Infostrada Sports: For the first time in the Premier League era there have been 3 own goals in single match: Liverpool (1) 4-1 WHU (2). #LFC

Quite surprised at that tbh.

Second time according to OptaJoe, Sunderland v Charlton in 2003. All from Sunderland iirc.

Newcastle are in good form and I just have no confidence in our team at the minute.

I should never have doubted your prediction! Didn't realise things were quite so bad.

I didn't used to mind Moyes but that was until he slated our fans for turning on Kean. So the sight of 75,000 United fans turning on him during a match would be excellent to witness.

To be honest, if clubs are going to start being fined for stuff like "ooooo merda!! that then there's not much hope left.....I've heard it plenty of times before watching games in Italy and I've heard "ooooo...you fat bastard!" hundreds of times whilst watching Rovers or other English games on TV.

He's a pretty poor manager I think. Did well at Burnley admittedly but has been found out since, talks a good game but can't deliver. Hopefully we're not the next Lancashire club he turns up at.
