Hi, since the last STEAM update I have noticed that the drop down boxes in the contract offer pages are slightly off and not properly aligned. This is fixed when resolution is changed but then the resolution is too small! Very frustrating. Has anyone else experienced anything like this?

I can still play the game but it's annoying as the interface doesn't look as nice as it should and I know that it is not supposed to look like that.

If anyone has any advice or has experienced the same thing then I'd appreciate any feedback.

Southampton - can you emulate what they're doing in real life and break into that top 4?

Burnley - Can you keep them in the prem?

Bristol Rovers - Big club in conference, can you get them back in the football league?

If you want a club with stadium, fan base, players, youth setup and infrastructure then maybe Derby County or Wolverhampton Wanderers

Yeah it's terrible, I gave up as well, it seems to be happening to most people using Mac's, do you have many graphics etc loaded?

Si keep saying that they're looking into it but it's ridiculous as I've never had issues before.

Hi guys,

I've been playing FM15 today but twice the game has randomly just closed down.

I am running the game on my macbook pro, it's running relatively sluggishly but not that bad but it's really annoying that whenever I try to get a game going the programme just closes without warning or saving.

Has anyone else experienced similar problems?

So can I confirm that once you've started a game, any chances you make to the inc can only then be seen once you start a new game? Essentially any saved game can't be changed?

pezzahawkins, you've confused the hell out of me now If you've combined this file with another one from elsewhere, then I don't know what kind of conflicts might have happened. Either use this one or that one, either should suffice but having both may lead to conflicts or things not working as they are intended to. I can't legislate for what happens when one uses other files. Using the workaround in the opening post definitely works, but if the team has already had a club name change via editor data files, then it can't be overwritten with lnc files.

Again, I'm really confused about what you reckon is wrong and what you'd like to be corrected. Please post screenshots of what you think should be corrected so I can be clear in my mind what we're talking about.

What names is it not fixing? Clubs, competitions? I'd say you haven't installed it correctly, I'm afraid. Can I have a screenshot of the folders it's installed in please?

I appreciate your worries, and I guess it could be worded a bit better, but thankfully your concern is unfounded

In a nutshell, what happens sometimes in cases where there are updates is that Steam recreates the licensing files which regulate the appearance of the German national team and some other minor issues such as the display of player faces in the French and Dutch national teams. Club name changes are NOT affected, so you do not need to start a new game, only to replace the lnc files basically. For the sake of simplicity, and also because I continually update my own files, I release a new version of this download every time a Steam update is released which recreates these files, so that they do not affect your game.

Please post screenshots of what you think is being displayed wrong and on which screen and I should be able to confirm or otherwise


Essentially i've now realised that it's not really the display I'm bothered about but more what the names are and where they are coming from?!

I've 2 different name fixes, this one which I downloaded and one from another site which essentially was just a folder called 'all' which goes into the inc folder.

Now before I had for example, A.C. Milan during the game, I then when downloading one of the files had MILAN without the AC, this is what i don't want. I had tried changing this through notepad etc but to no avail.

I have no downloaded another all folder and it is back to A.C. Milan ?!

I now have a saved game with Milan but new games are AC Milan, this is most likely the same for a few teams but ultimately I am wanting to know where this can be changed and which is the file that is doing this?!

If you have already started a save-game and wish to change German, Italian and French club names to the correct ones, there is a workaround. However, you will lose the club nicknames.

Open the City, Club and Stadium Names.lnc file. All the changes I've made in the editor data file are included in this file, however they are preceded by a hashtag (#) which makes the lnc file ignore any text following it.

You can remove the hashtags from in front of any of the "CLUB_LONG_NAME_CHANGE" and "CLUB_SHORT_NAME_CHANGE" codes which you wish to change, and this will display these changes in your save game.

Basically, instead of

Hi, I have tried changing this file and nothing has happened when going back to my save? I have removed hastag etc and nothing?!

I have also downloaded another update with an 'all' folder, would this have any effect?

All I am wanting to do is change a few team short names, could I just do this in the editor like on previous games?

This has nothing to do with this download as far as I can tell, and is the new way that SI have chosen to display the long and short names in the different screens.

You don't have an original version of the game, do you?

Read the installation instructions and the text at the top of this thread to see why. There's also a workaround in the very first post of the thread.

Also, when clicking on squad page it just says 'squad' which is where i'd expect it to display the short name.

I actually have no idea how to change conference to vanarama!? thought I knew how but clearly don't, also A.C. Milan are now Milan, I am not sure whats the game and what's the update, very confused!

Has anyone else noticed that some of the writing on the overview page for next fixture gets lost? especially if it is a 'y' or a 'g' , it maybe needs to come down slightly to fit in?!

Ignore this last post, I've just released that other people are also unable to get Germany working, this is the only issue, otherwise it's spot on!

I have recently purchased FM15 via Steam and am currently using the BETA version.

I have not been sent any activation code? Will this be sent once the game is officially released or do I not need one as I purchased the game from Steam?

Could someone please clarify this for me as if my games needs to be activated then I will need to be sent a code.
