OCTOBER 2020
https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/iQMN8VUP4afDcW8ytZYh8M2gOZBGNI0LFw56DO6W.jpg
We start off the month with a heartbreaking loss to Persib despite gettijng 3 goals. We follow it up with a 3-1 win over Semeru and a 2-2 draw against Arema. We again suffer another close high-goal heartbreaking loss as we fell to a 4-3 defeat away from home against PSS. The month ended off positively as we ended our horrible home form with a 2-1 win over Persipura.

Luckily after a month of disappointing form, we are still in the title race and are only 1 point behind Barito Putera. They do have a game in hand but we play them in the 2nd last league game of the season. In terms of stats, Gilang Alfarizi is leading the Golden Boot race while Denilson is still in the race to win it. Alfarizi has also got an amazing tally of 12 league assists which shows how good he has been this season.

TITLE RACE

A very informative analysis of the current league title race showing all of the competing clubs' schedule for the rest of the league season.

NOVEMBER 2020
https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/5Lw7tuifuMqk0FBPSXU2lvMbYdwxOHC5EdHEMp08.jpg
We revived our league title chase with 2 clean sheets in a row getting us 1-0 and 3-0 wins followed up by a 2-1 win. We then played Barito Pureta but lost to them in a crazy tight match 3-2 where we joked such an easy lead.

LEAGUE TABLE
https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/Y5ciICEBC6uDo6EJ0nkq32BxOKBPXpgBY3bKbIWD.jpg
This leaves the title in Semen Padang's hands, a team who had not been leading at all this season and was only 5th last month. This shows how much the tide can turn in sports but if we got a good result and Semen Padang's match goes our away, we could somehow run away with the league title. Fingers crossed.

AUGUST 2020
https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/KOKKhrreEdzHymhQvesdknFHBLKODY7hezSMhBVx.jpg
A very impressive month for us as we have gone unbeaten. We start off with a clean 2-0 win in the league followed by a 6-2 thrashing in the 2nd leg of the Piala Indonesia 2nd Round. We then have 2 consecutive wins with an impressive 3-0 win over Bali United. Then next 3 games consisted of Denilson solely getting our goals as we recorded two 1-1 draws and a close 1-0 win. Our 3-1 win ended with a brace from Denilson and someone else finally getting a goal as we record another win in the league at PSIS' expense.

LEAGUE TABLE
https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/nvuqk8GVucBsZLLnys2qIbK2YAJUFug2ycxDUpYF.jpg
We're in the lead as we attempt to defend our league title while Alfarizi is having a very good shot at the Golden Boot as well as the league's top player and getting the most assists. One interesting thing to note is that our goalkeeper is tied first for clean sheets.

AUGUST MANAGER OF THE MONTH
https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/c8QEYXGOKGEfMWnSg9K6u0ArDIyyU3m4LZRetzgm.jpg
Another honour for the trophy cabinet as we sweep manager of the month for August and we've now had 3 manager of the months while in Indonesia.

SEPTEMBER 2020
https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/RCVa53EpZJInJulNrGKdW8aPtdCEse0HHb8ZZSPJ.jpg
We've had a less packed and shorter month but we haven't done well due to the fewer matches being played. We did start off the month with a win to let us advance to the Piala Indonesia 4th round but following our crazy 4-4 draw in the league, we succumbed to a 1-0 loss against Persib. We then failed to score a goal for the 2nd consecutive game as a draw in the 2nd leg against Persib knocked out of the Piala Indonesia.

LEAGUE TABLE
https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/PYNL4iZ4Ht3mnw0RM2aDzlP8ijfiajc8wDSgWPRg.jpg
Luckily we're still leading the table after some horrendous form but we have got to improve it if we want to win the league. Since it is a short month, there isn't much change to report on in player statistics but Alfarizi is standing out like usual.

2 wins out of 3 but a bit disappointed with the first game. Honestly, I think we're going to have to adjust our tactic since I thought making the pitch dimensions narrow would suit our wingerless formation but it has completely backfired and we can't be dropping points against easy teams at home and definitely can't be relying on away games for our points.

LEAGUE TABLE

We are currently 2nd with a game in hand but Siswanto has got to watch out with his yellow cards this season as he's nearly topping the tally for most yellows.

TRANSFERS IN
https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/vSjgDnakBjv8ZFstBEVjdNc2uxkjDsXx4BVqweM6.jpg
We've managed to get Ilija Spasojevic, who is part Serbian but represents Indonesia on a free transfers. Good coup for the club as we can get a foreign left-back since our first choice has gotten injured and there is little to none half decent Indonesian left-backs (half of the horrible choices can't even play naturally in the position!).
https://i.imgur.com/aVesSgQ.jpg
Sinawo Topi is not a natural left-back but can easily be trained to become accomplished there and I find he's a good addition to our squad as I'm very content with this decision.

100th BORNEO FC MATCH
https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/XMm9ao3hvwwkHzcqHiecBShbm7mZTAHQxhVuatyB.jpg
It's a special day is at is our 100th competitive match as Borneo FC. It's a shame Alfarizi couldn't convert the 88th minute penalty which would have won us the game on this milestone day.

SOUTH AFRICA U23S RESIGNATION
https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/GIaJNRBQe5Pv7tUXEhyp7gW4ubazPsPXbCKYGPMD.jpg
It's time to say goodbye to the youngsters of the South Africa U23s as our manager has decided to resign following our 3rd place in the group stage of the Olympic Games. I will always remember them as the first international team I've managed and it will undoubtedly teach me new lessons as we apply for a new international job which is the China U23s which would be an interesting job to take over. Since we're already touching on the topic of jobs, just wanted to mention that I'm heavily thinking about a move to Johor DT in Malaysia as their manager's contract expires at the end of our season and they recently came runner-up in the league after they've been winning it since 2014. They've got secure finances and this could be a stepping stone for us to get a better job. We would end up in the AFC Cup and not AFC Champions League but I believe that would give us a chance to win another continential competition which is something I'd love to have on our resume as we rebuild that club. This is all IF they don't extend his contract and we get the job.

JULY 2020
https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/1wBJcXdYJk5akf8pQo2gIunaGQcWp5ZEeh5aMjfQ.jpg
Unfortunately, we started off the month with a loss to Persija who seem to be real contenders for the title now but we made up for it with a league win over the over title contender, Barito Putera, which was a turning match for us following a disheartening draw against Madura United where Alfarizi failed to convert an 88th minute penalty. Next month is one of the biggest of the season as we have 7 league matches while we have to recover from a 2-1 deficit against PSM in the Piala Indonesia. There will be a quiet month to follow that as there are only 2 league games in September, although there could be Piala Indoneisa matches. During the international break, the China U23s will be starting their bid in the AFC World Cup Qualifying Final Stage as they compete in Group B.

LEAGUE TABLE
https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/TBb4JzqUAEe8AQriHdYSWydT1Swvq5o5neRxM1d2.jpg
We're in an improved position as we are only 1 and 2 points behind Barito Putera and Persija, respectively. You can also see the rise of Gilang Alfarizi's assist tally this season as he currently sits 3rd for most assists.

APRIL 2020
https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/cFfvBiZfMkpz8D1pRFIJD8wtihQNS62Q4SfUIu8T.jpg
Wasn't the world's greatest month and we had a few up and downs along the way but a decent month with good AFC Champions League performances. I can already sense that this isn't going to be an easy season and the league title might come down to the wire of a point or so similar to last season's 1 point difference finish.

LEAGUE TABLE
https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/Tts711HbmpAvtBmRZs9tJakbTCdD1xNk6j1ub1Nv.jpg
We now sit 3rd in the table after 5 games and we're only a slim 2 points off the current leaders of the table.

https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/y76ypuEOmi8hZzL9NfY6uKeJ6pkY2R5l4bngXRaD.jpg
We've now reached a new major milestone in our managerial career as Matt Eskins has managed 100 competitive matches and celebrated it with a ferocious comeback against Hiroshima were we scored 2 goals in the last 20 minutes to win the game 3-2 after being down 2-1 in the 80th minute.

PRIZE MONEY FROM HIROSHIMA MATCH
https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/3JyE76InD3YfT4pqIZH25fWxKjGkuNj6yaGrKZ9H.jpg
Our club has been hanging on a thread when it comes to finances and we've really needed that 40K right there. Hopefully we can somehow make it to the knockout rounds and earn ourself a big paycheck because the club can't even afford to let me get a better coaching badge which has been restricting me to get a better job.

MAY 2020
https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/9iuBw1jfItpYKJQM0nmdib9Pz4jQ67JfsX9CCDij.jpg
Really good month here followed up by a solid win over Jeonbuk Hyundai but is that match enough to take us through to the knockout stage?

ARE WE THROUGH TO THE AFC CHAMPIONS LEAGUE KNOCKOUT STAGE?!
https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/ZqrcK1RMtooI4s4cWhM2f1wt3uNaPbqiFe7wa8v1.jpg
Sadly not as Guangzhou Evergrande edge us out by their highly superior goal difference. Obviously, there is a huge gap in quality between these two teams and they do thoroughly deserve to advance to the latter stages but for a team like them, it shouldn't come down to goal difference and I'm very proud of ourselves showing we can go toe-to-toe with big Asian teams.

OLYMPIC GAMES GROUP DRAW
https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/15pkdJAfR0Ut9sdL1bdVkPoaE858WI6Bz8l1GTKW.jpg
We've been drawn in a tough group with Brazil and Spain U23s and it is going to be highly unlikely we'll make it out of this group, especially due to the fact that the Olympic rules allow 3 over 23 players to compete meaning Matt Eskins could be up against the likes of Neymar, Coutinho, de Gea and Isco. Even Iran U23s could be a challenge as we're ranked a measly 82 in the world compared to Iran who is ranked 27th.

LEAGUE TABLE

On the positive side, we've moved up one spot, but on the negative side we're now 4 points behind the league leaders.

AUGUST 2019
https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/s7TP5Zsql6syCV2peGPQOpmTfuit3S73llkxYPDP.jpg
We've had a great month which was full of wins and 2 titles. After our Liverpool match, we had a near-upset against Bournemouth away from home but we survived following Lazar Samardzic's stoppage-time debut goal. Following the Marseille match, we got in a good-enough 1-0 win over Everton in our first home game of the season courtesy of a Rashford goal. We ended off the month with a humungous 6-2 win over Fulham where Rashford got a hattie and a faultless 4-0 win over West Brom.

LEAGUE TABLE
https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/uGgfFxXBiut2Kqki69ErpYA0e4mmv6PsoFHVpRs9.jpg
We stand top of the table via goal difference but even on points with Man City and Newcastle while Liverpool don't trail far behind but the London group of Chelsea, Spurs and Arsenal are starting to dig themselves into a hole. In terms of the Golden Boot, Marcus Rashford is tied with Aguero and he's got a good chance of winning it while Mbappe is close to getting most assists as well as winning the most man of the matches and having the highest average rating.

TRANSFERS IN
Christian Pulisic - RW - Borussia Dortmund - £25M (£45M)
We had a future transfer agreed with him and I wanted to get him because not only is he a fantastic player but he's part Croatian which made me want to sign him even more.

Kenneth Taylor - CM - Ajax - £5M
He's a great young player with very high potential and he's nearly Championship ability after he recently turned 17 a few months ago. He's a very versatile player with great attributes and I plan to give him a few runs in the first team.

Amadou Traore - RW - Bordeaux - £2.5M
Mohammed Ihatteran - CAM - PSV - £2.5M

Isco - CAM - Real Madrid - £80M (£90M)
A great marquee signing in a position we really needed a quality world class player. Isco is definitely going to be our first choice central attacking midfielder as he's got an amazing ability following his 3rd position in the Ballon d'Or which shows we might even have a bargain on our hands for a player of his quality! I did think that he was the only big marquee signing I was going to make and then this happened...

Kylian Mbappe - RW - PSG - £170M
I really couldn't resist... This was a once in a lifetime opportunity to steal Mbappe from his home country and take him to the EPL and he is such a quality player who will definitely secure us the EPL title and hopefully even the Champions League. He's also now the highest valued player in the game with a value of £124M as we pretty much blew our whole transfer budget.

Manuel Gasparini - GK - Udinese - £2.5M
Yahcuroo Roemer - RW - VVV Venlo - £900K
Amad Diallo Traore - RW - Atalanta - £2.5M
Sontje Hansen - ST - Ajax - £1.5M

Filip Benkovic - CB - Leicester - £55M (£70M)
A great young centre-back who's the only young player who's nearly as good as de Ligt and hopefully one day they'll get to play together as two world-class centre-backs.

David Clark - CDM - Aston Villa - £5M
A great price for a player with 5* potential and this 16 year old defensive midfielder is ALREADY Championship quality and I can see him as a first choice defensive midfielder in a season or two as hopefully this homegrown kid can be with us for a decade or two.

Taras Stepanenko - CDM - Tottenham - Loan
Gives great depth in the defensive midfield position and provides competition for that spot in the team which is very open up for grabs unlike our 4 attacking positions where it's very unlikely Rashford, Martial, Isco and Mbappe are going to be taken over while Pogba holds command of the midfield position.

Joao Cancelo - RB - Juventus - Loan
We needed another right-back following Antonio Valencia's departure and he filled the void as he wouldn't cost much while we didn't have to pay much for his wages and he would provide competition for Diogo Dalot.

Benjamin Pavard - CB - Stuttgart - £32M
We needed a new centre-back to partner Varane following Lindelof and Bailly's departure and why not sign Pavard who played with Varane in their World Cup winning squad as he was quite a bargain as he had a cheap minimum fee release clause.

Dani Ceballos - CAM - Real Madrid - Loan
Another player we got in from Real Madrid, just this time on loan. He's quite versatile as he's very natural in CM and CAM while he could even do a job on the wings as he is a good backup for Isco as he got injured which will rule him out for a bit of the start of the season.

Julian Draxler - LW - PSG - Loan
Another player on loan that gives us depth in the wings as some of our younger players have gone out on loan.

Arthur - CM - Barcelona - Loan
Obviously he's not going to knock out Pogba in that position but he's got a good shot at being our first choice midfielder and he's a very good 2nd choice in midfield in case Pogba gets injured and I might even consider getting him in permamently with his 4 1/2* potential.

Andrea Leonardi - CB - Sampdoria - £5M
Signed at the same time along another high potential Italian centre-back wonderkid, Leonardi has very talented attributes which goes along his 5* potential.

David Alaba - LB - Bayern - £70M (£80M)
We decided that getting two of some of the world's best players wasn't enough so we've managed to get in Alaba for a pretty good price and he offers us something very unique at left-back with his amazing physical attributes which will last him a fair bit into his thirties as he will play an important part in getting extra goals from left-back.

Yuri Alberto - ST - Santos - £3.1M
Alexander Fernandez - RW - Boca - £625K
Francisco Giminez - LB - Libertad - £750K

TRANSFERS OUT
Romelu Lukaku - ST - Chelsea - £60M
The sale was sanctioned for the purchase of other players as we no longer needed him following Marcus Rashford's surge to become the first choice striker. £60M was a very good price for someone who was no longer going to be our first choice striker.

Nemanja Matic - CDM - PSG - £45M
I'm extremely pleased with this deal as Nemanja Matic was starting to head into his 30s and although he did a good enough job, there was definitely other defensive midfielders who could do a good job so £45M for him was something I could never say no to.

Eric Bailly - CB - Barcelona - £40M
Following a good season, I decided to sell off Bailly as I felt we could get a better centre-back and wouldn't to give more of a chance to de Ligt to make a claim for a centre-back spot. Anyways, we all know that once Bailly hit his 30s and no longer was able to get a work permit, no one would want to buy him as they can't get a permit while we'd just have to let his contract run down and that wouldn't be good financially for the club.

Alexis Sanchez - RW - Real Madrid - £36M
Despite only selling him for £36M, Real Madrid did not ask for any selling team wage contribution so we pretty much got rid of having to pay £400K per week in wages which essentially freed up the budget for Mbappe and Alaba along with the other players we sold.

Fred - CM - Chelsea - £35M
He was never going to be someone who was going to be a first team player and we got offered good money for him so I decided why not since he can't knock off Pogba while we now got two great young players in defensive midfield.

Victor Lindelof - CB - Huddersfield - £35M
No longer needed as a backup centre-back following the signing of Filip Benkovic who will probably partner de Ligt or even Pavard.

Marouane Fellaini - CM - West Brom - £19M
We finally have managed to get him out of the club and was never a player we wanted or needed and completely useless and damaging for the club.

Marcos Rojo - CB - Lazio - £15M
Finally got another deadweight player out of the club with his frustrating wages which reached over £100K per week even though he's not a great player who is worth that wage.

Sergio Romero - GK - Crystal Palace - £12.5M
Why not make a profit on Romero as we don't need him and he's just going to start declining, plus we got a young player who could do a decent job in the very unlikely case of De Gea getting injured.

Cameron Borthwick-Jackson - LB - Reading - £1.2M
Kieran O'Hara - GK - Doncaster - £115K
Antonio Valencia - RB - Guangzhou Evergrande - Free
Yuri Alberto - ST - Maccabi Tel Aviv - Loan
Scott McTominay - CDM - Wolves - Loan
Axel Tuanzebe - CB - West Brom - Loan
Timothy Fosu-Mensah - CDM - Southampton - Loan
Erkan Eyibil - CAM - Cardiff - Loan
Mason Greenwood - ST - Wigan - Loan
Angel Gomes - CAM - Sheffield Wednesday - Loan
Arnau Puigmal - CM - Portsmouth - Loan
Tahith Chong - RW - Wigan - Loan
Frenkie de Jong - CM - Sevilla - Loan
Big loan deal here, but with all our signings in midfield positions, it would be hard to find him game time and he needs to prove himself elsewhere other he might get sold as he's only 3* potential with a 2 1/2* ability.

There is a lot of other players who have gone out on loan but it would take forever to list so I'll just leave an attachment of the save so you can also look at the update of how it's going and the other players who are going out on loan.

PRE-SEASON FRIENDLIES
https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/V9miQQxtAc8MAqturpdtI9esMgGiK8YQU906wv1c.jpg
We've had a very good pre-season which somehow we went undefeated despite playing so many strong teams. It was a very long and gruelling pre-season as we had around 20 matches and we had to deal with fixtures pretty much every 2 days. I am very impressed with the team's performances as we beat Monaco 4-2 and PSG 2-0. After that we got a few breaks in between matches before having 3 games in a row against Portuguese teams followed up with wins over Belgian teams. We finally got a lighter schedule as for only a week, we had 2 days between matches but to end off the month. We beat all of the top Spanish and Italian teams, except for Real Madrid and Juventus, which who we drew with.

END OF SEASON AWARDS

It's our first end of season awards as Man Utd manager in what has been a successful season because of our Champions League success. A player who was key to our success in the 2nd half of the season was Marcus Rashford, who won fans' player of the season while Pogba came 2nd after getting 10+ goals in the league season while Lukaku rounded off the top 3 after a decent goal tally from him.

SEASON REVIEW
https://i.imgur.com/am5fsz0.jpg
I can definitely agree that it was a memorable season as the team won the Champions League for the fourth time in history as we also tasted in both of the domestic cups. We should have done better in the EPL though but I'm sure we can do better next season.

SQUAD DYNAMICS

LEAGUES IN FOCUS
https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/e6JZd7JkXtkFSPcbXqlDlzXl3ZUQcc6LYgLUd975.jpg
Liverpool won the title here in England but there were a few shocks around where Atletico Madrid take out the league as Inter win in Italy. In Germany and France, Bayern and PSG win the league as per usual, respectively. In Portugal, there was a very tight league race as Porto beat out Benfica due to the fact they beat them in an unusual league sorting rule as Sporting lie only 2 points behind in their recovery following a training ground fight initiated by fans which caused 7 players, which 4 of them where part of Portugal's 2018 World Cup squad to terminate their contracts. There was also a tight league race in the Eredivisie as PSV took out the title by +1 goal difference as Ajax finished out of the top 2 for the first time since 2001 except for when they finished 3rd in 2009 as they were only 1 point off 1st place.

OLD TRAFFORD EXPANSION
https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/kHstIJpGuLB0Ku5hz0eIVh9qPeS67oe7rHsanSC7.jpg
Construction is set to start for the expansion of Old Trafford as it is going to add 16K more seats to make it have a capacity of 91,635 people which is more than Wembley which will cost £97M and be completed by the start of the 2020/21 season.

TREBLE

Who would've thought we completed the treble this season? It's just not your normal treble as you would've expected a league title, top domestic cup and the UEFA Champions League just instead of the league we won the league cup which sounds very similar.

UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE DREAM TEAM

UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE GOLDEN BOOT

This season it is Edinson Cavani who won the golden boot while Lukaku came tied 2nd with Kylian Mbappe, a player we do have interest in.

David De Gea deservedly wins the goalie of the season while Varane comes runner-up in defender of the season as Shaw came 3rd while Rashford was runner-up in forward of the season as Lukaku rounded off the top 3.

UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE REVIEW

We've had quite a few great wins in the UEFA Champions League and this was clearly the competition the players performed the best in as beat Atleti 5-0, 4-0 over Hoffenheim.

MAY 2019
https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/qCYb5yEsOct5aeBSjjku8L5tZ19NGTFx5Yv9PD2U.jpg
We start off May with a 2-0 win over Brighton and follow it up with a smartly played 0-0 draw with PSG which we knew if we at least draw, we'd advance due to away goals unless we had a 3-3 draw or something. After that match, we followed it up with a 1-0 win over Huddersfield to end our Premier League season. Next up was a chance to get our 2nd trophy for Man Utd and we did it deservedly as Pogba won us the game through an outside the box screamer.

BEFORE FINAL LEAGUE GAME
https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/1lKkJyTBrbORQsifbmXUke4Ra6vYvYtpSmm93rKB.jpg
After we won our match, Chelsea drew 0-0 with Crystal Palace and all we had to do was win our final EPL game and we'd somehow end up 3rd in the league after a very competitive and strong season for the teams. We could've actually won the league in another season since there has been seasons where I've won the EPL with points in the 60s and 70s so our points total could've easily won it but Liverpool got to the 90s while our derby loss to Man City slashed our hopes of finishing runner-up.

FA CUP REVIEW
https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/bGL5ZnUT3wxBEQqlRXHX4XQjqlS0tRHrpn9On9dN.jpg
As we ended out winning the world's most prestigious domestic cup competition, we also managed to get one of our players to win the Golden Boot for it as Lukaku decided to get some goals in this competition while Rashford took out the Golden Boot for the League Cup.

CHAMPIONS LEAGUE FINAL DRAW
https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/78n0ktkcw5FNrXlTcAhgf4n9oWLD2XgeJWtACcZF.jpg
What a match which will undoubtedly be a spectacle in the final! Two huge rivals here are playing off in the Champions League final for the first time and we've got to win this as Liverpool are now only 1 Premier League title off us following their win and they have won 2 more Champion Leagues than us so this is a good time to get one back at them and heartbreak them, even more, following their devastating loss to Real Madrid last year.

MARCH 2019
https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/CgUWwPo1wyklEfe0AOdckkMLFSq32OHR5DRot8gl.jpg
A bad start to the month but we fixed a little thing in our tactic and it's looking like we can use this one for a while to win. I wasn't too pleased with our 1-0 loss to Man City which could prove very important to finishing higher in the table while dropping full points at Burnley is a real bummer. Once we rescued a draw against Newcastle thanks to an 89th-minute goal from Antonio Marin, we ended out getting through the FA Cup quarterfinals via a 120th minute Lukaku penalty but what happened at the very end of the month shows that we've found a perfect tactic with perfect instructions as we annihilated Leicester City 4-0.

LEAGUE TABLE
https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/3nIu2ZuAosxpeqfMZQEHjXH3axyjrYRZG9CWTpGE.jpg
We are in the top 4 now which we essentially need to keep our jobs because if we don't qualify for next season's Champions League (unless we win this year's edition), we are highly likely to get sacked. While Man City are 6 points ahead of us, Chelsea is only 1 but they have 2 games in hand so they can easily get 7 points ahead leaving us stranded in 4th.

APRIL 2019
https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/P9qWR0XonjtrxVcduMBjBZURDONmTFryKWFRq5qB.jpg
We proved to everyone that we are starting to play high-quality football as we beat Fulham 5-1 away from home who are fighting for a top-half finish. After that match, we advanced to the FA Cup final following our 2-1 win over West Ham. Next up on the fixture list was our Champions League quarterfinal and we lost narrowly away from home 1-0 but immediately bounced back with a 4-0 thrashing of Tottenham. Somehow, we managed to beat Atletico Madrid 5-0 in the 2nd leg who's hopes were crushed of making the final where they could've played at their home stadium. We then followed it up with some sound Premier League performances in our 4-2 and 6-3 win over Palace and Arsenal, respectively. This now means we scored 19 goals in 4 matches which is an amazing feat and shows we have lots of attacking class. Since we had to rest some players for PSG match, we fielded a weaker line-up but showed our depth as we managed to beat Wolves 2-1 who are vying for a Europa League spot.
https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/ppoHvLF8RY3spAwcfdzz3kvKV3bFKiU2NBFjpvmR.jpg
Something bad did happen during our great month as Andreas Pereira damaged his cruciate ligaments in our 6-3 win over Arsenal and might only be back to proper full fitness by the end of the year and we're probably going to sign a world class CAM anyways as we really need to strengthen that position as Pereira who is only decent ability there doesn't suffice and he might even become Championship quality after his long injury setback.

We've had a decent youth intake here, nothing special but we did get a 5* potential goalie who I'd love to be getting some experience out on loan as there's no way he's going to be challenging De Gea for a while. We also have Pabos Michail who could become good after a while.

JANUARY 2019
https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/0QSS9pZPNZDbrVuITgEAMbCAnZ4K7jl2NanMBJre.jpg
The new year has definitely shown improvements as we've had a pretty good month. We did start off our goal-filled month with a decent draw against Chelsea considering it was away from home where the final score was 3-3. Following that match, we had to play Colchester in the FA Cup 3rd round which was an easy routing for our under 23s and Lukaku. We had another cup match after that with our seniors rested following the Colchester match, but we could only get a draw which I'll take since away games are always the toughest. After our Tottenham game, we played Everton in which we recorded a 5-2 win at home showing our attacking prowess and followed that outing with a 3-0 away win vs Bournemouth. We then saw Marcus Rashford score 4th consecutive game (would be 5 if you included the ones he played in since he was not playing vs Colchester). Our Croatian youngster, Antonio Marin who is definitely one who's definitely going to be getting more first-team football next season after he impressed me with his performances considering the fact I nearly let him stay for an extra season at Dinamo for game time. Now that we have advanced to the League Cup Final which is to be played in February, we had another cup match to focus on as we only managed a 0-0 draw against Brighton after our run of games. To end off the month, we finished off newly-promoted Cardiff City with a 2-1 win where Martial and Rashford got the goals. Overall, it was a good month as we won all of our matches that we needed to (except for the tough away game vs Chelsea) and will hopefully/made up for our draws in the League Cup semi-final second leg and hopefully the FA Cup 4th round replay (since I can't give spoilers away in the wrong month).

We're now only a point off the top 4 and just need to overtake Arsenal as we sit 5th in January.

FEBRUARY 2019
https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/mtFm1h65A3azBA1cLilOeBnvnvXbrZhF63mypaGY.jpg
I think we've definitely found the right tactic eventually as you cannot argue that we've been outstanding when it comes to attacking. We started off with wins on the road against Southampton and Brighton and followed that up with an amazing 3-0 win over league leaders Liverpool which asks me why we're not even in the top 4. We kept up that good form with a 3-0 win over Hull City to advance to the FA Cup quarter-final. We did only get a draw against Valencia in the 1st knockout round in the Champions League, but we got our first trophy as a manager as we absolutely annihilated West Ham 6-1. In typical "coincidental" Football Manager fashion, we play West Ham again and we smash them only a few days later after their heartbreaking 6-1 defeat in our 4-1 win. Caps off a wonderful month in which we've hopefully found our groove.

FIFA BALLON D'OR
https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/Mv8yEUhmLRM3fEBrdAfulrpNquwnhLFmSg3ygNPV.jpg
This year it has been the maestro Lionel Messi who took out the title as the world's best player this year. He beat the other candidates such as former teammate Neymar and Isco from his most despised team, Real Madrid.

EUROPEAN GOLDEN BOY
https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/Mz9YE0MuOreMHswViYDiMb3EX34vXSl86lXOtQ9q.jpg
It's a shame that no Man Utd player got to win but what can you expect as we haven't shown any good form while Trent Alexander-Arnold of Liverpool definitely has.

FIFPRO WORLD XI OF THE YEAR
https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/8ukPRldhYWGiPC4KggKG92Q7eNDHfYZsJeX1iKAK.jpg
This year's world eleven is heavily influenced by Barcelona players with a mix of Real Madrid and Man City players. You've got the German goalie, ter Stegen who's defence is protected by an El Clasico Spanish defenders with Pique and Alba on the left half and Ramos + Carvajal on the right side. In midfield, you have the combo of Kevin De Bruyne and ex-Liverpool player, Philippe Coutinho. In attack, it's Salah and Messi out wide while Isco is behind Aguero. The only thing that is missing from this side is the fact that Neymar is missing considering the fact he came 2nd in BOTH the FIFA Ballon d'Or and the FIFA World Player Of The Year. Unforunately, none of our players made the substitution bench either.

FIFA WORLD PLAYER OF THE YEAR

Messi also wins this accolade as Neymar is runner-up, just the difference this is to the Ballon d'Or this year is the fact Ronaldo came 3rd.

NOVEMBER 2018
https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/G4K2FLY7JDWZUZvdDCGeaItPT9b9VB9yefEdN1PD.jpg
We had a pretty good month as we won all of our matches except for the first one in which we drew with Newcastle United away from home. We did manage to top our group in the Champions League with our 2-0 win over CSKA Moscow and our impressive 2-1 win against Juventus. In between those games we recorded 2 clean sheets as we beat Fulham and Leicester, respectively.

LEAGUE TABLE
https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/oDL4nir68BqAhpvy73c1mXt9wlYr9xumvtirbWty.jpg
Following our good month, we're kind of in the top 4, although Man City have a game in hand in which they win, they will overtake us. It's also nice to know that De Gea has got the 2nd highest amount of clean sheets so far.

DECEMBER 2018
https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/EQeYloh92puP71hAi2BPDCjRLQj9q2HbRfWa2VWT.jpg
December has been a very exhausting month as we've had to battle with playing matches every 3 days and in the end, it has resulted in a lot of unfortunate situations. We had to start with two very tough games against both of London's teams. We got extremely unlucky with the Arsenal game as our players inconveniently decided it was the best day to miss TWO penalties when we're playing Arsenal and are losing. In the Tottenham game, we tried to bounce back but all we got was a Marcus Rashford brace, a performance which started to catch my eye. We then showed our quality in a neat and clean 3-0 win over Crystal Palace in which youngster Tahith Chong followed an Alexis Sanchez brace. We did start hitting a patch of defensive insecurity as all we got from our Hoffeinheim game was a 2-2 draw while we could only get 1 goal in our draw with Wolves. We did advance to the League Cup semi-final after our 2-1 Burnley win which will hopefully help us extra in our job security. A 1-0 win over Watford followed while Rashford and Chong got more goals in our disappointing 2-2 draw with Huddersfield. In our final game of the month at home against Brighton, young Croatian winger Antonio Marin showed his qualities as he got a brace while Pogba's goal helped us get the narrow win.

LEAGUE TABLE
https://sortitoutsi.net/uploads/mirrored_images/OuK7PrPotqVdDurme7qChXIpzAErmpc0WmlPDfYw.jpg
Since we had an unimpressive month, we're now trailing the top 4 by 3 points while De Gea has fallen out of the top 3 for most clean sheets thanks to our erratic month. Hopefully, we can fix some stuff next month and at this stage, I'll be happy to make top 4 so we can get Champions League football next season

It's our last month here as we recover from a 1-0 deficit to advance to the Champions League final as we win all our La Liga matches to make up ground. Most importantly, we win two trophies in the Copa del Ray in which we beat Atletico Madrid and the UEFA Champions League, for the 4th year in a row!

We've now managed to sneak in a Europa League spot after being last in the league half way through the season! It's a shame that we were 2 points off finishing 4th which would have undoubtedly got us more points but I'm satisfied with how stop 2 has gone so far. Unfortunately, Mariano wasn't able to win the Golden Boot which was a bummer but I have learnt a few things from this save. One of them is that Mariano is definitely a good striker hence why he got called up for Spain in the game recently following his wonderful performances that saved us from a downfall. Another thing I've learnt is that Nacho is actually a pretty good full-back as he's played very well for us and given Marcelo a rest when needed to and he can also operate on the other side, so definitely a good cheap signing that would be useful in other saves or even here in the Susie On Tour challenge.

February ended out being another month of experimenting but I think we're at a stage of finding a great new tactic. We started off pretty well with 2 wins as we advance to the Copa del Ray final and although we did draw with Rayo Vallecano, we did beat Fenerbahce and found what seemed a great tactic when we were losing to Atleti which helped us make the comeback. Unfortunately, it was a false alarm as we ended out losing to Barcelona and barely getting the win against Espanyol and then losing again to Valencia.

A great month for revival as we've finally found the perfect tactic that suits our team and it ended out being a narrow formation, the only one that generally works for me at most teams. It started off good with a 3-1, 2-1 and 2-0 wins against Getafe, Fenerbahce and Leganes, respectively. It got even better than that as the players got used to the tactic as we smashed Real Sociedad 5-1 while we kept clean sheets in our double 2-0 wins over Alaves and Eibar.

Following a month filled with wins, we now sit 12th in the table and only 12 points off the top 4 while Mariano is catching up to win the Golden Boot after impressive months since I've taken over in charge.

We haven't had the greatest of month and there were results that should've been better, but we're definitely improving and it's taking a bit of time to find the right tactic as the players are naked from the tough schedule recently. We started off the month by drawing with Leganes and then beating Bilbao after that. Now we have our 2nd leg in the Copa del Ray which we proceed to win but we fail to back up that performance with a 2-0 loss to Valladolid. The next few games end in a win against Villareal and Girona while a draw is good enough in the Copa del Ray quarterfinal 2nd leg. To end off the month, we record a nice 1-0 victory over Celta Vigo and hold onto a 1-1 draw with Eibar in the Copa del Ray semi final.

An improvement from last but we're still stuck in relegation zone but it will be soon before long until we get out of relegation.
