We start off the month with a 2-0 win away from home against Sarawak which is followed by a 3-0 win at home vs Felcra in a short two-match month.
SQUAD REVIEW
Ramos and Bosancic continue to be the standout stars of our team and to be honest there really isn't much else of interest.
AWARDS
Bosancic gets a handful of awards but the standout is me getting the manager of the month award, my first award!
LEAGUE TABLE
We're only 1 point off Penang as we sit 3rd in the table with 2 games left in the season.

We get rejected by Ansan and San Luis de Quillota but it wasn't disappointing at the start as I thought I would get the Selangor job but then this happened:
Now is the bit where we go on a long hunt for a job as we get through several interviews:
I thought I would get the Bali United Job and was so excited for it but it eventually didn't work out
New Club:
Hopefully, we can lead Sabah to promotion while on our 1.2K per week wage which would see a 15% increase if we can get to the first division. We probably wouldn't have been able to manage in a top division but I'll settle for one that is very close to that
First Match
We started off great to my managerial career with an important 4-1 win to keep us in the promotion race. I was really impressed with Bosancic who nearly got a hat-trick of free-kicks if one of his free-kicks didn't hit the crossbar. Ramos, who was originally unhappy with his previous manager who didn't give him enough game time, scored two goals up top for us.
News:
A-League News
Not great news for the A-League as it lost it's AFC Champions League spot, but hopefully one day I can come to Australia and rescue that spot if they don't get it in the meantime.
Special Surprise:
Great news for Australia as we're going to be hosting the World Cup in 2022. It would be an absolute dream to take over for the 2022 World Cup in our home nation with our home club Perth Glory. To get there though, we have to work extremely hard and also have luck on our side and hope that the Australia manager gets sacked.

Matt Eskins barely has a reputation and although he has no coaching badges or good playing experience, he has got 6 adaptability which will help with his polyglot skills as he can speak English, the Yugoslavian languages which are very similar (Croatian, Serbian, Macedonian & Bosnian) as well as Spanish (which will also help with South American countries), German and Italian.
Job Applications:
We've applied for realistic jobs here and we could've even applied for the North Korean job but I wanted my manager to stay alive for more than just a year.
Job Interviews:
We've been offered 5 jobs interviews from Malaysia, Chile, Indonesia and South Korea (imagine managing the North Korean national team while managing a club in South Korea!). Selangor and Kelantan are 1 place apart in the Malaysian League but I'm edging more towards Selangor even though if we did go to Malaysia that would mean we would only have half a season to work with. This would be the same case with every other club and as much as I would be excited to be able to play Colo-Colo where Vidal, Bravo and Alexis have played, I'd prefer to start in Malaysia as it wouldn't be as hard to win the league as we don't have Colo-Colo.

I'll be starting off unemployed with no coaching badges and a playing experience of a Sunday League footballer. There are no rules on this save but one goal I do have is to become the best manager of all time and take the number 1 spot.
Born in Perth, Australia on the 19th August 1997, Matt Eskins has decided to start his managerial career at the young age of 20. An attacking minded manager, his dream job is to become the manager of Manchester United. Currently unemployed, one day he'd also like to take the hands of his home club Perth Glory and he'd also like to manage Dinamo Zagreb as his family has a Croatian origin.

December has been a very exhausting month as we've had to battle with playing matches every 3 days and in the end, it has resulted in a lot of unfortunate situations. We had to start with two very tough games against both of London's teams. We got extremely unlucky with the Arsenal game as our players inconveniently decided it was the best day to miss TWO penalties when we're playing Arsenal and are losing. In the Tottenham game, we tried to bounce back but all we got was a Marcus Rashford brace, a performance which started to catch my eye. We then showed our quality in a neat and clean 3-0 win over Crystal Palace in which youngster Tahith Chong followed an Alexis Sanchez brace. We did start hitting a patch of defensive insecurity as all we got from our Hoffeinheim game was a 2-2 draw while we could only get 1 goal in our draw with Wolves. We did advance to the League Cup semi-final after our 2-1 Burnley win which will hopefully help us extra in our job security. A 1-0 win over Watford followed while Rashford and Chong got more goals in our disappointing 2-2 draw with Huddersfield. In our final game of the month at home against Brighton, young Croatian winger Antonio Marin showed his qualities as he got a brace while Pogba's goal helped us get the narrow win.
LEAGUE TABLE
Since we had an unimpressive month, we're now trailing the top 4 by 3 points while De Gea has fallen out of the top 3 for most clean sheets thanks to our erratic month. Hopefully, we can fix some stuff next month and at this stage, I'll be happy to make top 4 so we can get Champions League football next season

With our newly tweaked tactic, our form is still strong as we smashed Hoffenheim 4-0 in the Champions League to begin the month which involved a Romelu Lukaku hat-trick. We then beat Burnley 4-2 as we put on a great attacking display for Old Trafford but then gave a boring display in a 0-0 draw away from home despite having an extra man from the 36th min. We then beat CSKA Moscow in a good 3-0 win and we welcome Man City only for Alexis Sanchez to score a double and prove to them that they should've signed him. In typical Football Manager scheduling, we coincidentally draw Man City in the League Cup right after a Man City league game but all we needed for that game was a 1-0 win away from home to advance to the quarterfinals.
LEAGUE TABLE
We're only 5 points behind 2nd but we're going to have to get win some games to catch up to Liverpool as they're 9 points ahead of us.
NOVEMBER 2018
We had a pretty good month as we won all of our matches except for the first one in which we drew with Newcastle United away from home. We did manage to top our group in the Champions League with our 2-0 win over CSKA Moscow and our impressive 2-1 win against Juventus. In between those games we recorded 2 clean sheets as we beat Fulham and Leicester, respectively.
LEAGUE TABLE
Following our good month, we're kind of in the top 4, although Man City have a game in hand in which they win, they will overtake us. It's also nice to know that De Gea has got the 2nd highest amount of clean sheets so far.

As you can see in the above photos, we played our very first competitive game against Watford where Martial got a goal for his tally while de Ligt got a very special debut goal. In only our 2nd game, we had Chelsea at home, which was my manager's first match at Old Trafford and we got a 1-1 draw which I'll settle for, especially in the early stages. Next up was especially a more tricky match than originally thought against Everton but Andreas Pereira who has been playing so well got the first goal and Alexis got the 2nd.
SEPTEMBER 2018
Atrocious start to the month but I fixed the transition part of my tactic ahead of the Juve game and now it's working wonders. It's good to see Romelu Lukaku is gaining some form up top as Martial and Rashford aren't playing so well. Then followed the Southampton game in which Romelu Lukaku starts to add to his tally and Pogba starts to gain some amazing form. After getting 2 goals and 1 assist, Pogba took out the deserved man of the match award. Next up was the League Cup 3rd round vs Stoke City with a heavily rotated lineup as we had plenty of youngsters in the lineup.
SQUAD REVIEW
My defence is slightly shaky since we tweaked our tactic but that's expected when you play two teams that made the Champions League final in the past 2 years. Luke Shaw is impressing though. In midfield Pogba is in hot form while in attack only Andreas Pereira and Romelu Lukaku stand out.
LEAGUE TABLE
8th is not where I wanted to be but we're making improvements with our newly tweaked tactic and I feel confident we can make top 2 in a matter of weeks and hopefully if we play extroadinary, we can take Liverpool out of 1st place.

FUTURE TRANSFERS
Filip Benkovic - CB - Leicester £55M
Used from most of the funds of the Jesse Lingard sale, Filip is one of the best young centre-backs and we've managed to get him in for a hefty price tag, but he does add to my wanted Croatian contingent of young players right now.
Christian Pulisic - RW - Dortmund - £25M
I thought he was going to sign this season but it was too late when I noticed it was going to go through at the end of the season. Hopefully, he has a good season at Dortmund.
Yuri Alberto - RW - Santos - £3.1M
Alexander Fernandez - RW - Boca Juniors - £625K
PRE-SEASON FRIENDLIES
Not the most successful pre-season, especially since everybody was on holiday until a few days before our first game which means I'll have to build up some of their match sharpness. After the first 6 games, we went unbeaten and then went winless in the last 5. Good thing was that the youth got some chances against big teams.
