Started reading Trainspotting the other day, deciphering all the text written in Scots is a pain in the ass.

Haha, my ex gave up on it actually.

Once you get into the mindset, it gets fairly easy. I think it adds to the immersion of the story.

How's everyone courses going?

I'm actually quite enjoying mine now I've started the third year and am able to pick more specific modules. I found out recently that if I want to get a 2:1 overall I'm going to need 64% this year, which is very tough but doable as well. Nice to have something to aim for.

Are you doing Economics and Politics now? I forget what you were doing.. BSc?

My Masters is going ok, it's research based so I am just graded on my thesis (25k) (submission next Sep), and then one essay (4k) for a methodology lesson that is compulsory (always representation or feminism, yawn.). The real time swallower for me is that I'm doing Latin and French on the side so I barely have time to research my thesis....

Have an interview today for a pt teaching job in local impoverished schools, outreach n all that jazz. 17 quid an hour if I get it...

Latin textbooks and a new dictionary, and some textbooks for my dissertation.

Been an expensive few weeks, this starting uni again malarkey.

I'd bite the hands off someone if they offered me £600 for a 2 year old used MBP.

How about crashing all the time being fixed AFC? If that's your real name, WHICH I DOUBT.

Had a great period of stability, then lost three games' worth of games with Bath City (and a round of the FA cup) (4-1. 4-2 and 4-1 respectively).

My squad is pretty good and I was going to boss the Conference South. Bitches need to get their shit together.

I'm not exactly aware of what a scene kid is. Apparently it involves not looking normal. I'd imagine like My Chemical Romance is a factor too.

My brother would like that, He has a bit of a thing for communist Russia.

The hard-cover edition is 7.19 on amazon, I picked up mine I think for 4.50 in an upmarket used book shop in Hay-on-Wye (a brilliant place for librophiles). Would recommend it, it's told in a narrative chronological manner but the chap uses historical sources and contemporary accounts to furnish his narrative. But none of that makes it boring.

(just saw a copy on Amazon 1p with 2.80 delivery, it depends if you are worried about annotations/condition)

Well i never thought of it the way you did, maybe that says something

The sweet guy is gaining more custom, because hes giving them away (hes losing a profit just like SI would be if they let FMRTE exist), the person selling them would not be happy (because hes losing his profit, from the guy thats giving them away!), if he was happy...... he's in the wrong job.

The difference is, is that the man in the shop has already signed the sweet-buyer up to a yearly base sweet program for circa 20-30£. The man outside then offers additional sweets that make the base sweet program a more attractive sweet system to be involved in. That person is therefore more likely to buy the "yearly base sweet program" next year.

This move allows SI to compete with the RTE, so it gets a slice of the market (it will be much less fiddly for players with disposable income to simply buy the "sweets" they want). SI wins either way. There is no need to stop the man outside, but they make it easier for their repeat customers to get a similar auxiliary product that the man outside is offering at a small cost (presumably to some people).

So sweets is a shit analogy.

Surely you got this feeling at the end of FM12 before you considered FM13? Unless it was several months not playing, I understand.

Also, PSG got boring. Anyone suggest an interesting game?

Meh, the fucking game just keeps crashing at the match screen for me.

Ah well, schoolwork it is then.

This, started and lost three saves (Bristol City, Rimini and Gloucester City).

I'm just waiting until November 2nd now. Fucking joke.

It's a beta release, for crying out loud. Bugs are to be expected. That's the point of doing a beta release, so that large-scale issues are fixed in time for the general release.

This was supposed to be a full version without the online features IIRC.

As I see it, this was a perk for pre-ordering the game and now I've wasted 2 save games and a fair few hours of my time.

Currently "not responding" during a game for 10 minutes. Debug the game plx.

Now it's completely crashed.

That pre-order was worth it, ta SI.

I have echolalia so I can pull off most impressions after a few listens to them.

"Echolalia occurs during human child development, with babies producing vowels, some consonants and echolalia between 6 to 9 months of age.[citation needed] It can also describe a speech disorder in humans with developmental disabilities."

A cunt with developmental disabilities?
