So in both folders (2600 & 2620) we delete the old ones and move the new files that we thank you for creating. Then as you say in step 7 we replace the 4 new files you created with copy paste and replace.
From 2600 we simply delete the 3 folders or put the new ones there as well as in 2620
It's a sequel to a game, not a new game. I never had a problem with the replacements when a new update came out and I replaced the files. Now why?
