I think you mean 3D kits. These here are the ss (short sleeve) kits that show up on the club overview page and some other places in the game. 3D kits are the ones that make the correct kit details show up in the match engine.

You can apply it to FM 2020 the same way as FM 19.

I assume some logos will be updated and also some logos will have different UID numbers, because few clubs in FM 2020 have had their UIDs changed.

I use PC, so I wouldn't know how exactly it differes from the Mac version. Otherwise, I would gladly help. Hopefully there's someone who is familiar with FM on Mac and who can compile you, or refer you to, an easy step-by-step guide.
