Update for anyone with a similar problem - Following working through the computerhope link, it was my antivirus that was doing something weird, so i switched it off to download this and it downloaded!

Cheers for the reply mons. The size has varied tbh, ranging from 856MB to 3.81GB. I've used Chrome to download it to apparent completion as no resume option is available.
