As the title says.

For Arsenal;

Szczesny
Jenkinson - Mertesacker - Koscielny - Gibbs
Arteta - Wilshere
Walcott - Cazorla - Podolski
Giroud

Szczesny's been a bit erratic at times this season but Mannone wasn't much better when he did play and Fabianski only had a handful of games, albeit a few impressive ones. Sagna's had his worst season in an Arsenal shirt and Jenkinson's improved massively, so he gets the nod at right-back. Vermaelen's been pretty poor as well and Koscielny and Mertesacker have comfortably been our best two centre-halves this season and they work really well together. The midfield pretty much picks itself, seeing as Gervinho is just too frustrating a player to warrant inclusion and Oxlade-Chamberlain has barely featured. Ramsey has gotten better as the season has gone on but didn't have the best of times earlier in the year. The front four have all chipped in with a good number of goals to account for van Persie's departure.

You're probably right. Just trying to generate some discussion.

The rest depends on form, Rooney obviously plays if he's in form but I wouldn't say he's guaranteed in our First XI like he was before.

Rio and Evans have both been better than Vidic this season, and fitter. Evans has improved immensely. Also i would include Hernandez, he's scored some big goals this season and always seems to get one when he plays. Agree with the rest. Had a lot of inconsistency this season.

Nah nonsense, Vidic has been colossal since coming back. His return almost exactly coinciding with us not conceding fucking stupid goals every game. Evans and Rio have been good, Vidic has been immense and there's no way Hernandez, as much as we all like him, is in our best team he just doesn't offer enough apart from goals (but he should be playing more).

We've been so disappointing in the league this season that best XI isn't saying too much at Newcastle. But I'd probably go with ...

Krul

Debuchy - Coloccini - S. Taylor - Santon

Cabaye - Perch

Ben Arfa - Sissoko - Marveaux

Cisse

---------------------

Krul, the centre-backs, Cabaye and Cisse are the only one's I'm semi-certain on. Ba could be in there, despite leaving. I'm not sure Ben Arfa or Marveaux have been particularly great, but as with most of our squad there's been injuries and I'm not really sure who's better.

Tbh, there's not really been much to shout about and some of these options I doubt.

He was a bit off the pace for a few games but I thought he was immense once he found his feet again. He's still one of the best centre backs in the world and I'm delighted we've got him at our club.

Anyway this would be my team. I've decided to include Rooney and Welbeck on the wings because I think they've been better than Valencia, Nani and Young tbh...

GK: De Gea
RB: Rafael
LB: Evra
CB: Vidic
CB: Ferdinand
CDM: Carrick
RM: Rooney
LM: Welbeck

I'd have Ramsey over Wilshere but agree with the rest of your team.
