Actually... they're not.
He's using Postimage to upload the pictures, like me. I've noticed that people who use Explorer or Firefox tend to have the images renamed .jpeg. Why on earth I have no idea. Using Chrome, there is no issue. I think you need to open the images in a separate window and use save as, to get them to save as .png on your computer... or rename them after download.

Yeah, I just tried it on the pictures above, and they did save as .jpeg when I right clicked and chose save using chrome. However... dragging and dropping them onto your computer will do the trick. At least it does for me as I just tried it.

Yeah, when I post I use the direct link to .png, so that it saves as that even when right clicking - using chrome. I think explorer still messes with it though.
It's not an issue for me, though, as I always drag and drop images I want. For some reason, when using the windows pop up box and saving, Chrome locks up on me. Same thing when I'm uploading, so I always have to restart Chrome after selecting the images to upload. This goes everywhere on the internet, not just Postimage, though.
