I would say Ian Rankin's Hitler or Giovanni Gentile's works on fascism are going to be more historically insightful than Mein Kampf, a book so incomprehensive and nonsensical that even Mussolini admitted he never got to the end because it was 'terrible and boring'.

Primary source material is always more useful than secondary.

Always.

Ahh, I want it, or Y, so much, except I don't have a 3DS and I'd only be buying one to play Pokemon. I can't really justify that, especially with Christmas shit to buy too.

Get the new 2DS. This new game is a new approach and well worth it. There are a fair few good games on it also if you wanted to try out some others as well

It'll have to be a while before I get anything seeing as how Christmas is coming up AND the PS4, but I just know damn well I'll end up buying something to play it on.

Mein Kampf is pretty much exclusively useful to those interested in Hitler's psychological state, rather than for any information about the period.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised that a Dane is into that kind of thing....

It's full of information about the period. It's packed full of it.

How do you think all the secondary histories are written if not for the primary source material? They're the absoloute staple of history.

Got confused there and thought Hitler was obsessed with menstruation.

I think Gaddafi tried using women's menstrual cycles as a salient political point in his Green Book.
