Having a girl from work and her husband over for dinner tomorrow, made me realise how uncool I have become in my old age, a few years ago I would invite them around to trash a crate of larger and get shit faced, now it's fritatta and venison steaks.

May I suggest risotto and venison instead? A red wine gravy on the venison would go down superbly. A bottle of Chianti on the go as well.

I'm considering doing another big walk next year, I have always wanted to try Lands End to John O'Groats but I doubt I'd be able to afford to have three months off of work in order to complete it.

You can if you get sponsored AND expenses paid for by a willing charity. Make a few calls.

You know, I agree with him and normally I wouldn't do it. I was just too tired/lazy to write something more meaningful yet I just felt I had to write something given the role his (or rather The Velvet Underground's) music has played in my life.
