I fail to see the logic in what he did. Nastatic was getting to it first, if Hart didn't think he would he needs to come out and absolutely clatter everyone but that way he just completely fucked up.

How well do you think he'd react to being replaced though?

I can hardly think he'd be overjoyed with going from being number one to on the bench or loaned out and although 26 is young for a keeper, it's certainly not that young.

It'd be better for him to be 'punished' for countless mistakes rather than keeping his place without consequences

Why would it matter? Hart isn't good enough for City.

I agree.

If anything the lack of competition for his place at City and with England is probably causing these errors to become more frequent. Only a matter of time before it costs either club or country in a huge game, say like a Champions League or World Cup semi final.

That's pretty unfair, I think. He certainly was, and I don't think his mistakes really suggest that he can't be again, they more suggest that he's a bit thick.

It was only about a year ago when he was being talked about as one of the best in the game.

True.

Fellaini had apparently convinced people he was actually good at football back then too.

Fellaini will come good, I have no doubts.

He just needs to settle in, Fergie would have helped him in his early struggles and it would have came faster but eventually it will come.

I was joking.

I would have been surprised if Fergie has actually signed him though.

A little late as I only just got to see the game now but, get fucking in there.

Torres was outstanding and is looking more and more like he's recapturing some quality form.

I don't think Joe Hart will ever be one of the best in the world unfortunately.

He has the ability to be one of the best in the world but it's his mentality that worries me. He's unbelievably arrogant and just doesn't seem to be learning from his mistakes.

Seems like a typical case of a young(ish) English player who thinks he's made it before he has.

The football press is beyond parody when they're denied access. The Mirror are calling Newcastle 'bullies' for not answering questions from journalist they don't want questions from. And talking about how Newcastle are damaging 'free press'.

They are also pillars of local democracy who hold politicians, judges and, yes, football clubs to account. They are indispensable allies of fans ripped off by ticket prices, fobbed off by useless signings or, say, wrestling with their consciences over sponsorship deals with payday sharks.

I mean fucking hell, can you not tell the difference between an elected public official, a public justice official and a privately owned company owned by a private citizen? As a privately owned company they can answer whatever questions they want. Newcastle haven't broken an laws.

Anyway it's good that the fair and balanced press definitely don't have a vested interest in the story. It's good that the Daily Mirror aren't saying "shame on you Newcastle for not answering questions from newspapers in the Trinity Mirror Group. Shame on you."

They haven't broken any laws no, but what would be the point in newspapers if it was just to highlight law breakers?

I meant Newcastle have the prerogative to not speak to whatever media they want. - If Newcastle had committed crimes, obviously it is in the public interest for the media to expose it.

Newspapers can obviously report on whatever news stories they see fit to. And Newcastle have a right not to speak to newspapers they feel are trying to cash in by creating a crisis to generate sales.

That's fair enough, but it's an extremely petty decision and one that has quite rightly brought wide condemnation.

Antics at Port Vale are worse given they're now asking the local Stoke paper for £10,000 a year in covering fees just for asking "When can fans expect their anniversary shirts given they're already late?"
