This file is intended for version 14.3.0 of FM14, and will need to be re-applied if/when patches/updates are released to ensure full compatibility. This is due to the fact that some files which are removed when installing this file are re-installed when patches come out.
The sortitoutsi real names fix changes the instances of fake names in Football Manager 14 to the proper, real life names for awards, cities, stadiums and competitions, in cases where the actual name is not licensed. It will also fix the fact that the German National team doesn't call up real players. These are fully save-game compatible.
There is also a club name changes file, which changes the names of clubs in a way which ensures that any nicknames entered in the default database are retained. This file includes the proper names for Italian and French clubs to circumvent licensing restrictions. It also adds real-life media and journalists, with 23 media files added to encompass all major footballing nations and continents. It also includes a small file to correct some incorrect national kit colours and ones whose kits were not displaying. Finally, it includes a small file which corrects the 3-Letter competition names to correspond with any changes made in the lnc files. For all these files to work, however, you will need to start a new game.
Magrippinho very helpfully created a YouTube video on how this file should be installed. Some of the contents are different - but the procedure is identical, although of course you use the equivalent folder for FM14.
Or, you can follow the below instructions to install this file:
Step 1: Go to
PC
Step 2: Delete the dbc, edt and lnc folders from the folder above
Step 3: Copy the dbc, edt and lnc folder from this download into the folder mentioned in step 1.
Step 4: Go to:
Step 6: Keeping the folder in step 5 open, go back to the file you downloaded and open the folder named "editor data files".
Step 7: Copy everything from the folder in step 6 into the folder mentioned in step 5.
To check if the file is working, go to the Champions Cup and EURO Vase, and they should be renamed to Champions League and Europa League respectively. If you are in the middle of a save-game, German national teams will be populated in the next instance that players are called up, and not instantly.

In addition to the usual award, competition, city, licensing and stadium name changes (which are all save-game compatible), this file includes a club name changes file, which changes the names of clubs in a way which ensures that any nicknames entered in the default database are retained.

They will work in both instances. I have placed them all into one folder in order that they are better organised...

Quick question I went the lnc file for club, city, stadium names there were some with @ after the hashtag(#), does the @ have an impact on the game? Just curious thats all.
This was the first thing I downloaded and installed onto the game.
Thanks for the fix.

"However, for those who don't particularly mind, all the changes made by the Club Name Changes.dbc file are also included in the club name.lnc file. They are, however disabled by default. To re-enable any of them, simple remove the hashtag (#) from in front of the respective entries in the lnc file (which can be opened using notepad). Hope this is clear enough."
Thanks,
Michael

This file does not modify any player data, so I'm not sure why you're asking here . You can use the editor to change anything you want in Christian Maldini's profile.
The @ are there for me to check in future versions of this file for possible inclusion
The hashtag has to be infront of the line in question to disable it. In both the Freiburg stadium and the Czech stadiums' cases, the hashtag is in front of the preceding line, which I include to clarify what is being edited. In the case below, for the game to ignore the stadium change, the # would need to be immediately before "STADIUM_NAME_CHANGE".
All city and stadium names are changed using the lnc file and are not included in the dbc file. There were some minor changes in the Club Name Changes.dbc file when compared to the beta release, predominantly involving lower-league French and Italian teams. You con continue using your current set-up with no major effect imo.

If you're in the middle of a save game, you have to wait till the next time that national teams call up players for the German and Japanese national teams to have real players.

Miglior allenatore dell'anno should be Migliore squadra della settimana
Miglior Squadra dell'Anno should be Miglior gol del mese

Only one question: is there a way to have Germany with its real colour (white and black for first kit, green for the away one) and not blue like it's in the game? I tried with the game editor but it doesn't solve anything
mons
Thanks for this, they've been corrected - there were also some new award additions in the official database which I've since added. I'll release a new version in the coming days, possibly even tonight...
mons
Do you have any other editor data files perchance? It's showing as white and black for first kit & green and white for the away one respectively in my game

thanks mate. I think that the mistakes were related to the IDs. I believe that SI changed some IDs because starting from season 14/15 the Lega Pro Seconda Divisione won't exist anymore and Lega Pro Prima Divisione become Serie C with 3 groups.
Don't know if the above could be of any help.

EDIT: Ok, the answer is yes, reading this page of the thread
Sorry for the stupid question.

Is it possible that using beta game real name fix on a full release of the game caused that crash?
thnx
EDIT: It crashed again so I don't think that's it

There is a problem with Turkish names.
For example;
"COMP_LONG_NAME_CHANGE" 1301394 "UEFA Þampiyonlar Ligi" "Turkish"
It should be renamed as "UEFA Şampiyonlar Ligi"
Letters to be replaced are:
ý to be replaced with ı
Ý to be replaced with İ
þ to be replaced with ş
Þ to be replaced with Ş
ð to be replaced with ğ
Ð to be replaced with Ğ
Siegfried.m
For example:
"Associazione Italiana Calciatori Miglior Difensore"
should be "Miglior Difensore Associazione Italiana Calciatori" (I suggest also to put a - symbol to divide title and society).
Short names seems correct.
Also some competitions have original names and this isn't good in italian. Champions League and Europa League are fine, but some others, like Super Cup should be called Supercoppa Europea or UEFA
If you want, I can fix all and send you via mail. Contact me in pvt.

Thanks for this. I replied via PM
Please send me a PM and tell me which competition names should be fixed and what should be their correct names. I'll hold off releasing the latest version until we speak...
I have fixed the award names as you suggested in the meantime - thanks for that
Thanks for these - fixed them as well
Siegfried.m
I sent a very loooong pm. Copy ALL. Both in file and in the message text
EDIT: Now I realize that I missed the "Italian" suffix after every entry in the Competition wall of text. Sorry. Little work for you
