Still can't believe people said United were pretty much out of the title race. Does this mean City are out of it now they're 8th? Of course not.

This exactly, didn't realise City were that low down though. I think our bad form has allowed theirs to go largely unnoticed.

It seems to be a common thing of ex Arsenal players celebrating when they score against them, same thing happened with Adebayor when he was at City

Your lot have been giving him shit for the past year and a half and then you're pissed off when he celebrates scoring a goal for his club in a big game? Jesus.

He didn't celebrate last year out of respect and you just ignored it.

Get the fuck in.

Yes, because we were supposed to give a standing ovation to a guy who had just walked out on us.

It's not that.

All the teams are just really close together. When 3 points separate 3rd to 8th you're going to get massive drops when a team loses.

Where did he suggest you needed to give him a standing ovation?

We're woeful, hopefully that equaliser, god knows how we got it, will give the lads a boost going into a massive game against Sunderland next time out.

We're like a horse that gets it's head in front but ultimately get's beaten. It's worrying.

Standing ovation/death threats. Splitting hairs really.

If you're gonna dish it out don't act like a bitch when he celebrates a goal against you. It's not even like he went over to your fans or it was a meaningless goal. It was a big goal in a big game.

Well 'standing ovation' wasn't quite the right way to express it, but regarding the death threats - it's not like we're the only ones capable of such bullshit.

This. Coupled with the few death threats he's got, and the abuse he's got from the fans that has been pretty much non stop.

A good performance overall, a couple nervy moments, but the first half especially was brilliant. Rooney, Smalling and Jones were terrific.

Still can't believe people said United were pretty much out of the title race. Does this mean City are out of it now they're 8th? Of course not.

Just remember whilst nearly all Arsenal fans despise the guy, the vast, vast majority think making death threats towards him is completely ridiculous. All sets of fans have numbers who do and say horrible things, so lets not make out that Arsenal fans are somehow considerably worse than everyone elses.

I for one never discounted United and was nervous as fuck going into the game. All of this talk of a walkover was complete rubbish and I knew it would be a tough game - what did my fucking head in was that we barely showed up and United only played decent at best, but it was enough to get the win.

I still fancy City or Chelsea for the title over United but I wouldn't be surprised if this result was the catalyst for them. We're still looking good at the top of the table.

Yeah, the same ones that United fans used to sing to him. Lets not pretend United fans are able to take the moral high ground.

I can honestly say I never chanted it so I can. Whether or not United fans did, or not, it is still another cause for him to want to celebrate in front of your fans.

I never said that isn't motivation for him to do so, and I said when he scored I don't really give two shits if he celebrates or not although I'm not surprised he was happy to do so. Also, I've never sung it either, so perhaps we can just leave out the generalizations.

If you give him shit, you can't complain about him celebrating.

Not that I think Arsenal fans shouldn't give him shit, he did leave for a rival.

I haven't complained about him celebrating, I just have an issue with some fans making out other fans are so much worse when in reality all fanbases have nasty sections who sing and chant disgusting things.

We know they do but that wasn't the subject. We simply used examples of Arsenal fan chants and behaviours as to why he would have celebrated.

Today's result is pretty sickening and fair play to United, but with the way this season has gone it wouldn't surprise me at all if they dropped points in their next few games. This season has just been like that - I can't really see any side putting together runs of 10 games or more when they pick up nearly maximum points. It'll be up and down for all of the title contenders this year.

Fine, but you certainly seemed to be implying that our fans are somehow worse than most, which is horseshit.

He looked pretty dreamy, while allowing van Persie to get in front of him for the goals

Not celebrating would have looked totally disingenuous anyway. Arsenal fans give him loads of abuse.

Who gives a shit, going to Old Trafford after games against Liverpool and Dortmund (one of the best teams in Europe i might add), with a team half full of ill players and only losing 1-0 is hardly a disaster. The performance was bad but Utd have been that bad all season ffs and it shows just how much we have improved if we can complain about a 1-0 defeat there. Could be worse, could be 5pts behind the team at the top.

I never meant to imply that. There is no way L'Arse fans are a bad crowd compared to the majority of fans
