No, but those lawyers should probably have the integrity to not take the job?

Anyway, I'm making out like I think this is a bigger deal than I actually do.

Its like that in many walks of life - Goldman Sachs and Vodafone have employed people who used to work for HMRC, which would explain how they paid very low taxes.

Lambert's two main assistant managers have been fired as well.

I dunno if its just to do with the extra money but more teams in the middle and lower ends of the Premier League appear to be arguing amongst themselves, or at least more publicly than usual.

If we'd played like we have done in the last few weeks all season then we'd be around 15th place. Horrific how awful we have been and so far tonight. I'd bite your hand off for a scrappy 1-0 win right now.

Bugger, really want to see Everton finish 4th. 2 Merseyside teams in the CL next season would be phenomenal.

I think everyone is rooting for Everton except Arsenal fans. Keeping my fingers crossed that they slip up a couple of times.

City are highest paid sports team in the world

Wow, their average wage is just over £100,000 and their players earn around £900,000 more in a year than Bayern players do. They better hope that Chelsea and Liverpool slip up because on that kind of money, they should be winning more than just the league cup.

Yeah that's bollocks. City don't release player's wages, they release a figure for every single employee combined

Ask them where they got their figures from

All figures were sourced
directly or indirectly via unions, player associations or
agents, via leagues, clubs and other reliable administrative
bodies, or extracted from official club accounts.

City's official accounts don't give wage breakdowns for players, only a "We spent his much on wages for everyone involved with the club"

Woo, that's addressed here: http://www.sportingintelligence.com/finance-biz/sports-salaries/ . Now I can believe that's true

Comparing something like that based on average salary is a bit misconceiving as the roster size varies greatly between different sports. NBA teams only have 15 players on them at any given time, NFL teams can have over 70 players.

Now we can afford to draw against Chelsea. Beforehand, City could have equalled out points tally if we drew against Chelsea, but they have a superior GD (just).
