Her storyline in the first series was great but everyone I've spoken to has tired of her. Her storyline and character are just not developing.

That isn't my contention, it's to do with the pacing of the story in the television show. Narratively we know that for her story to be at all worthwhile she has to make it to the coast with an army and her dragons otherwise it's a completely wasted plot line. So having it end with the slaves looking at the masters and then fade to black.
What happens next? She dies and the slaves lives are unchanged? It's just a bit stupid.

It's also great that they didn't give her purple eyes like in the books too or she would seem to be a complete fanfiction.net mary sue.
Though I don't think anyone in a George R.R. Martin book will have such a fluffy story for long.

I haven't read the book but apparently he has been dialled way down. Would rather just not here from her for a while instead of seeing what a just basically filler scenes so we remember her.

Yeah, to be fair. They've toned down that across the board which I think is probably a good thing.
Daenarys is supposed to be about 13, and Jon and Robb are and were supposed to be young.
Makes it more realistic with what they have done.

I think at this point they are taking storylines from different books because the POV style means some characters don't even show up in some of the books. I don't know for sure but that's what I'd heard.

Yeah thats exactly right. Its why books 3 and 5 are split in two. Too many characters to fit into one book

yeah it definitely gets brought up. Similarly to how the fact Lady Arryn and Petyr were actually the ones who killed John Arryn was given a passing mention last episode, considering thats the whole reason most of what has happened has happened

Quick question, I'm about half way through the third, and I understand that the fourth and fifth books chronologically take place at the same time?
If so, is it split geographically? Like, does one focus on Westeros and the other Daenerys?
Although please don't tell me if you can't do so without spoilers.

Its all done POV style so say book 3 it will have one part Dany which features the characters involved in her story. Then once you read her part you move on to the next part in the book which is another character

I'm just wondering which characters are focused on in the fourth, and which are focused on during the fifth, since they take place simultaneously so I assume no character will appear in both.
But I don't wanna spoil anything so I want to know, for example, does the fourth book focus on Kings Landings and the fifth on the North/Wall? How have th characters been divided?
