I just found the one I cut a lot easier to work with since I'm just starting with all the cutting and I thought that since he has the same hairstyle in both of the pictures it would be just as good and end up being better quality. Thanks for the positive feedback. It's much appreciated

Cleaned the existing cut as good as I could since it had a lot of snow around all the edges and I couldn't find any quality pictures of him. Not even the source of this cut, except in lower quality.

Any constructive criticism and tips are more than welcome and I've already learned quite a bit from what I've got so far. And now that you gave me a properly cut image to compare with I can clearly see what you mean. It's not even that I wouldn't know how to fix it, but I guess it's just my eye that's not used to see such small details just yet. And I'm using PS CS6 with Fluid Mask 3. Haven't been able to get any of the plugins working though.

Vertus Fluid Mask is very good when working with plain backgrounds,but it needs touch-ups afterwards if you don't use advanced techniques that plugin offers.For more complex backgrounds try Topaz ReMask,there are nice tutorials on their website.
