So anyways, I'm tactically playing, watching in 3D for the first time since forever. Deciding on some shite, playing with some shite, my thoughts;
- High defensive line is doing nothing for me, teams are getting through at every opportunity, away it goes
- May play a stopper/cover, or just one normal CB and a cover CB
- Have my wingers as Defensive Wingers because of them playing AMR/AML, so far I'm impressed
- Moved my lone striker from STC to STCL, I found he was sitting on top of my AMC way too much, will see how this works out
- Unticked retained possession, too much slow ball movement, I want quick play

Where did you download the custom leagues if you don't mind me asking? Struggled to find decent ones myself on FM14 so far.

Had genuinely forgot how many points you get for a win. This win came about thanks to another set of edits, stripped it totally back to how I've always set up in FM. A mix of Dutch ideas and FM experiences. Inside forwards and poachers.

I know exactly what this boiled down to, ultimately me being unwilling to change the way I play the game because I just can't be arsed \o/. I'm the player who has one tactic, doesn't really care about tactics or team talks and prefers scouting and signing players. I haven't had a real interest in tactics since about FM11, sure making a three man defence tactic will interest me now and then but beyond that I can't be arsed. I hate watching games, I hate shouts and I hate the 'psychology' of team talks. Its all so flimsy.
Tactics have become the crux of FM and that doesn't appeal to me, now more than ever if you aren't sitting watching games, reading guides and fancying yourself as a Meisl brother (fuck FM, I have my abstract football knowledge to fall back on) then you will struggle like mad at times. You've experienced it yourself Ali, you grow up, you've seen it all before and you can't be arsed with every facet of the game. And no FM classic ain't an option, I don't have alzheimer's.
Just wasn't willing to truly deviate from what I know has worked in past FMs and in my earlier FM14 careers. I'm a lazy player nowadays, I seldom get much enjoyment from FM, its just a good time killer from now until September. And with that in mind, I'm going to the league I love, the MLS.
